TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 2005 * ARANETA COLISEUM * MANILA, PHILLIPPINES

The building almost shakes when two swirls of blue fireworks erupt from the stage, but the buzz turns to boos as Darkseed's "Hear Me" begins to play. Walter Gindin leads Solomon and Infernus down to the ring, and The Alaskan Monster appears very agitated as he steps in over the top rope and grabs a microphone.

Solomon: Alright, I have had enough of this crap! Briggs, Infernus and I said we would give you until the end of the night to name your partner, but to hell with that! We are tired of waiting and we want an answer right now, so we want you to come on down here and---

He is cut off once Sevendust's "Trust" plays and Briggs marches out to a huge ovation! Showing no fear, the big Canadian steps into the ring and looks directly at all three men as he begins to speak.

Briggs: So you wanna know who my partner is huh?

Solomon: Damn right. You know what? We shouldn't even have to have this match. We all know what would happen if you ever fought me one-on-one.

Briggs: I would powerbomb and pin you 1,2,3 just like I did at The Symphony of Destruction!

Briggs can't get another word out as Solomon snaps and clotheslines him down to the mat. Infernus joins in next, and Gindin follows suit. Before long, Gindin, Solomon and Infernus are all stomping down Briggs as the crowd showers them with boos.

Troy: They're beating the hell out of Briggs right now! Where is his partner?!

Ferrara: We don't even know if he's here; Briggs didn't get to name him!

The beating is growing bigger, but not as big as the ovation that comes once a huge eruption of fire comes up from the stage and Mannie Fresh's "Real Big" explodes over the speakers! In no time, Jaguar runs down to the ring and tackles Solomon to the ground!

Troy: It’s Jaguar! Jaguar has got to be Briggs' partner!

Ferrara: Who could have called that one?!

Troy: I don't know, but the tides have definitely turned here!

Jaguar knocks Solomon down and then floors Infernus and Gindin with a double clothesline. Gindin rolls out of the ring and Jaguar grabs Infernus by the head before tossing him over the top rope, but the crowd really pops once Briggs gets up, charges and blasts Solomon with a fierce clothesline that sends him flying over the top to the floor! "Real Big" replays as Jaguar high fives Briggs and raises his arm to a thunderous ovation!

Troy: This is unbelievable; what a partner Briggs has in Jaguar! We'll be right back!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

We return from the break to find Briggs and Jaguar at the interview area, with Scott Cornelius standing next to them as the indoor crowd continues to cheer.

Cornelius: Briggs, we knew you said you would name your partner tonight, but nobody could have picked this one. You and Jaguar?

Briggs: Of course. When it came to finding a partner to help me beat Solomon and Infernus at Meltdown, who better than the man who was first to pin Solomon in a one-on-one match? He was the first to do it, and I'll be the next, but it was a no-brainer to me to choose the man who has held the PWA Title more times than anyone else.

Cornelius: Jag?

Jaguar: All Briggs had to do was give me the call and I knew I was in. We can't wait until this Saturday, because ---

Jaguar stops and shoves the cameraman aside to catch an incoming Infernus with a right hand! Solomon charges into the scene to attack Briggs, but he is followed by a swarm of officials who struggle to break up the skirmish as the shot cuts back out to the ringside area, where "Hot Like Fire" by Aaliyah is blasting over the speakers, and Camieko is standing inside the ring.

Camieko waits patiently in the ring as her music ends and "The Stone Monkey" by Kazu Matsui explodes onto the speakers, bringing the Women's Champion Keiko Ishida to the ring, accompanied by her manager Walter Gindin.

Troy:  We have the Women's Championship on the line here tonight.  Keiko Ishida will be defending the gold against the woman she won the title from nearly seven months ago, Camieko.

Ferrara:  Camieko didn't stand much of a chance seven months ago; let's see how she does tonight.

* PWA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP:  KEIKO ISHIDA © VS. CAMIEKO *

REFEREE:  DAN MARTIN
The bell sounds and Camieko immediately goes after Keiko, barely letting her get her ring jacket off.  Camieko keeps the pressure mounted, realizing it's the only way to gain any ground on the undefeated Women's Champion.  The strategy puts Camieko on top in the early going, allowing her to take more risks and try to leave the champion in a more precarious position.  However, Ishida soon battles out of the predicament, and as Camieko comes flying off the top rope with an attempted sledge, Keiko responds with a savate kick to the jaw.  Keiko then lifts Camieko up and whips her chest-first into the turnbuckles, which sends Camieko sharply back in a heap to the mat.

Ferrara:  Things are not looking good for Camieko, Troy.

Troy:  It seems she's experiencing what seemingly everyone experiences in there against Keiko Ishida.

Camieko struggles to her feet, and as soon as she does, Keiko charges in, blasting her with the running STO!  Keiko covers... one, two, three

* WINNER VIA PINFALL AND STILL WOMEN’S CHAMPION:  KEIKO ISHIDA *

"The Stone Monkey" blasts onto the speakers and the fans boo rabidly.  However, the champion is not done.  Walter Gindin instructs her to continue the assault of Camieko, and Keiko obliges.  She continues to put the boots to Camieko, until Dee Licious darts down to ringside!

Troy:  It's Dee!

Ferrara:  What does she want?!

Dee and Keiko exchange blows to the delight of the crowd, and
Dee clotheslines Keiko over the top!  A staredown ensues between Dee and Keiko and Gindin, and we take a break.

Troy:  It looks like Dee got the best of Keiko Ishida here tonight!

Ferrara:  She might have Troy, but NO ONE can beat Keiko Ishida one-on-one.  No one!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Nine Inch Nails' "The Hand That Feeds" hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads "PWA Meltdown Report."  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O'Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Meltdown logo.

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

The spotlight shines down on Lee Palmer as he gets the crowd ready for the main event.

Palmer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for The PWA World Heavyweight Championship!

The crowd cheers, but they are soon cheering in confusion as Oasis' "F*ckin In The Bushes" begins. The Iceman Jason Calysto walks out to a loud ovation in street clothes as the confused Palmer introduces him to the audience, but everyone is stunned as he makes his way over to the announce table.

Troy: What brings you out here Jay?

Calysto: No offense Victor, but I'm pretty pissed off about what is about to happen here. Last week, I made Scott Hosemann tap out to EARN my PWA Title shot at Meltdown, a shot that I have waited 8 long months to get. But all of a sudden Kerry Cox grants Scythe a title shot tonight, and if he wins, I have to compete in a triple threat match?

Cox: Well Scythe has had a brief two week hiatus, but Kerry Cox offered him the shot in order to get him back on the road this week. Scythe accepted, and he is ready for another crack at the gold.

Calysto: I don't care who said what; this is ridiculous and I'm not gonna stand for it. I'm just gonna sit here, watch this match, and whoever comes out of this as the PWA Champion will tap out this Saturday!

The music stops and bursts into Linkin Park's "With You" as Palmer restarts his introductions.

Palmer: Introducing first, the challenger. From Simi Valley, California, weighing 256 pounds, he is The Modern-Day Samurai, he is... Scyyyythe!

The entrance clouds with smoke, and Scythe steps out through it to an incredible ovation! He appears to be refreshed and ready for action as he climbs into the ring and poses on the turnbuckles, paying the angry Iceman no mind as he disrobes and waits for Tool's "Parabola" to hit.

Palmer: And his opponent, representing The Legacy and being accompanied to the ring by Justin Schenck, hailing from Hollywood, California, weighing 188 pounds, he is the PWA Heavyweight Champion of The Worrrrrrrld, Hollywood Miiiiiiiike Griffin!

Schenck and Griffin arrive to a terribly negative ovation, but the champion looks ready to go as he points high into the air for his majestic fireworks to shoot up behind him. Griffin then makes his way down to the ring and does his signature spin before removing his robe, but it is then that he locks eyes with Calysto at the announce table. Griffin reacts poorly, demanding that The Iceman be removed, but Tom Stevens says it’s out of his hands.

Ferrara: The champ wants you outta here Jay.

Calysto: He can kiss my ass, I'm not going anywhere. I'm here to watch this match and that’s it. Nothing more.

* PWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:  HOLLYWOOD MIKE GRIFFIN © VS. SCYTHE *

REFEREE:  TOM STEVENS
Griffin shouts some words Calysto's way before removing his championship belt and handing it to the official. Stevens holds it up and calls for the bell, and the action is underway as both men lock up. Griffin realizes his power disadvantage and uses his quickness for a go behind, but Scythe uses his momentum to take him down into a pin attempt. Griffin quickly gets up at one and runs at Scythe, but he is taken down with a deep armdrag. Scythe follows up with another and prepares for a third, but Griffin takes a breather by exiting the ring.

Griffin takes his time to re-enter, but does so and takes Scythe off his game with a slap right across the face! Scythe goes after him, and Griffin turns it into a quick drop toe hold. He gets a front facelock on Scythe, but the challenger reaches his feet and turns it into a Northern Lights Suplex! He bridges for a two count and Griffin escapes via a smack to the ribcage. Both men get up quickly again, but it is Griffin who takes the advantage by catching Scythe running at him with a fast Hotshot against the top rope!

Scythe falls to the mat and Griffin goes on the offensive, keeping him down with a slew of stomps before applying a blatant chokehold to rob him of his air supply. Griffin breaks the hold at the count of four, avoiding disqualification, but getting the damage done.

Troy: Thanks to those tactics, Griffin is in firm control here.

Griffin grabs Scythe by the hair and gets him into a front facelock before holding him straight up in the air for nearly eight seconds and dropping him down with an impressive vertical suplex! Griffin gets to his feet and looks to further his advantage by exiting the ring to head to the top rope. Griffin jumps off and connects with a big elbow drop from the top rope and covers for Stevens to count one....two....and Scythe still kicks out!

Griffin shows a little frustration before getting the challenger off the mat and delivering a hard shot to the kidneys. He then grabs Scythe in a waistlock and takes him backwards before dropping him down on his neck with a German Suplex. The tenacious champion keeps his hands locked and follows up with a second and then does it again to deliver a crushing third suplex! Griffin gets back up and signals that the match is nearing its end and he drags Scythe towards a corner for his signature Moonsault. Griffin climbs up and makes his jump, but Scythe rolls in towards the corner and Griffin smacks down hard on his chest!

Troy: He missed!

Calysto: It’s crunch time in there now for both of these guys. The first one to get up will have the advantage.

Scythe is first to rise, beating Griffin by a step. Soon enough, he is beating Griffin with his fists. Three punches connect with Griffin's forehead before Scythe whips him to the ropes and downs him with a stinging double-handed chop! Scythe hits the top rope with his arms and the crowd cheers wildly as the challenger shows his second wind!

Scythe gets Griffin up and drills him with another chop to the chest before Irish whipping him across the ring. Griffin ducks under a clothesline attempt, but Scythe catches him on his return to obliterate him with his Flying Dragon Chokeslam!

Troy: Scythe is on fire, and Griffin is fading fast! We might see a new champion tonight guys!

Scythe gets up quickly and drags Griffin over to a corner to deliver his Diving Blade version of the moonsault. Scythe makes his climb, but Schenck jumps up onto the apron and drops him with a big left hand to the temple! Scythe falls back down to the canvas, barely avoiding the champion, but it doesn't take long for the rest of The Legacy to hit the ring to attack the challenger! Darrin Giles, Jonathan Brett and Alpha Omega all begin a full scale beating on Scythe, leaving Stevens no choice but to throw the match out!

Troy: Dammit! Scythe had the title won!

Ferrara: He's got bigger problems than that right now though!

Calysto: I'd say he does.

Troy: Wait, you're not gonna help him?!

Calysto: Should I?

Troy: Yes Jay, they're tearing him apart in there!

Calysto: I said from jump that I was here just to watch a match, and now I'm staying for the aftermath.

* WINNER VIA DISQUALIFICATION:  SCYTHE; STILL PWA CHAMPION:  HOLLYWOOD MIKE GRIFFIN *

Scythe has absolutely no defense for the beating he is taking from The Legacy, but he gets help as Paul Epton leads John Wolfe and Mike Troha to the ring to try to even the odds!

Troy: Epton, Wolfe and Troha are out here now, they meet Alpha Omega and Brett at Meltdown!

The trio tips the scales in their favor briefly, but their efforts are quelled once Griffin gets back up and takes Wolfe down from behind. The Legacy is now beating all four men down until Saliva's "Superstar II" hits and Superstar Scott Hosemann runs down to a thunderous pop!

Ferrara: It’s Hosemann!

Troy: The Legacy booted him out viciously last week, and its time for a little payback four days before getting Darrin Giles at Meltdown!

Hosemann gets into the ring and takes Beovich down with a clothesline before catching an incoming Brett with a boot to the gut and blasting him with a Superstar Stunner! Greg Price tries to stop it, but he also gets a Stunner! Giles tries to attack from behind, but Hosemann reaches up to grab him by the head and drive him down with another Stunner! Hosemann then sets his sights on Justin Schenck, who stays frozen in fear until Griffin clubs him down from behind! Griffin and Schenck put the boots to Hosemann long enough for the rest of The Legacy to recover and continue to assault Troha, Scythe, Wolfe and Epton. The crowd is begging for Calysto to rise and The Iceman finally rips off his headset angrily and charges into the ring!

Troy: It’s about time! Go Iceman!

Beovich tries to attack first, but Calysto greets him with a mafia kick! Price does the same, but also receives a head-snapping mafia kick for his troubles! Brett goes after The Iceman next, but Calysto backs up and sends him flying out with a back body drop to the floor! Price charges, but is also thrown out before Giles is drilled with a mafia kick! Griffin tries his luck next, but is taken down hard with a big spinning heel kick! Schenck runs out of the ring before Calysto can get to him, and "F*ckin In Bushes" explodes through the speakers to a deafening ovation!

Ferrara: Calysto has just cleared out The Legacy single-handedly!

Troy: And it will still be Calysto and Griffin one-on-one for the title at Meltdown! We're out of time folks, we'll see you all in Hawaii!  Goodnight everybody!
