TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2006 * COREL CENTRE * OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA

Back from break, “Control” by Earshot blares onto the speakers, and the fans begin booing raucously as Justin Schenck leads the Legacy down to the ring. Behind Schenck are the new Tag Team Champions, The Alpha Greg Price and The Omega Steve Beovich, Alpha Omega, along with Infernus and Darrin Giles, the Legacy in full. Schenck grabs a microphone as they all enter and, through the boos of the crowd, begins speaking.

Schenck: Hollywood Mike Griffin, last week on Frequency, I told you that you could find yourself a partner and challenge Alpha Omega for the Tag Team Championship that you claim they illegitimately won at Meltdown. This week, I want to know who your partner is, or if you don’t have one yet, I want to know that too. Essentially,
Griffin, I want to know exactly where you stand right now, and exactly what we’re dealing with, so get down here right now.

Moments later, “Parabola” by Tool blasts onto the speakers, and the fans actually begin cheering as Hollywood Mike Griffin makes his way to the ring! Griffin grabs a microphone and enters the ring.

Griffin: First of all Schenck, don’t ever think you can order me around. You couldn’t when you were my manager, and you sure as hell can’t now. I’ll come to the ring when I feel like it. Now, in response to your question, no, I haven’t yet found a tag team partner. You can rest assured I will have one at Meltdown in 11 days, and with that partner, I will take the Tag Team Championship away from the Legacy, but at this moment, no, I do not have a partner.

Schenck: Ha ha! I guess you pissed off too many people in your day, huh
Griffin? Trying to switch sides after all this time, and after all you’ve done, it didn’t seem logical to me, and I guess you just learned that first hand. Then again, on the other hand, I think there’s a valuable lesson here for you to learn. A lesson we’d be more than happy to teach you. And that lesson is, Griffin, don’t enter the enemy’s camp without backup. It could be dangerous.

With that, the Legacy strikes, and a vicious five-on-one beatdown of Griffin ensues, prompting the fans to boo raucously. Then, suddenly, Greg Tantalus storms down the aisle, steel chair in hand!

Troy: Oh my God! It’s Greg Tantalus!

Hosemann: Tantalus is returning the favor from last week!

Tantalus chases the Legacy members away, and the fans cheer thunderously! After the Legacy flees, Tantalus grabs a microphone as Griffin struggles to get to his feet.

Tantalus: I appreciate what you did for me last week, Griffin, so I’m here returning the favor tonight. And if you need help at Meltdown too, I’m offering up my services.

With that, Tantalus tosses the microphone to the mat and exits, not waiting for a response! The fans cheer thunderously as “Hey You” by Simon Says blares over the speakers, and
Griffin looks back at Tantalus in disbelief!

Troy: My God?! Will TFU ride again at Meltdown?!

Hosemann: I don’t know,
Troy! This is crazy!

Troy: It sure is! Folks, we’ll be right back!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Back from break, “Piggy Bank” by 50 Cent hits the speakers, and the fans begin cheering for Renegade, who makes his way to the ring, ready for the opportunity he has been presented with. Renegade positions himself in the ring and prepares for battle. Moments later, “Footprints” by G-Unit hits, and the fans explode even louder for Showtime Damon Savage! Showtime heads down to the ring, ready to go with our next bout. Showtime enters the ring, standing face to face with Renegade, and the bell sounds, getting this match underway.

Troy: Alright, here we go! There certainly is a lot at stake here for Renegade!

Hosemann: Sure is. If Renegade can win this match, he will challenge James Biamonte for the International Championship right here next week!

* RENEGADE VS. SHOWTIME DAMON SAVAGE *
Referee: Matt Hansen
Renegade and Showtime are slow to lock up at first, showing each other a fair amount of respect. When they do finally lock up, Renegade gets the early advantage, tying Showtime in a headlock. Renegade squeezes the hold hard, but Showtime digs deep and breaks his way out of it, shoving Renegade against the ropes. Showtime leaps over Renegade as he returns, and then floors Renegade with a hard axe kick on the rebound! The fans cheer loudly, and Showtime pours on the intensity! Showtime whips Renegade into the corner, and charges at him, looking for a hard big splash. However, Renegade moves out of the way, and Showtime goes crashing into the corner! Renegade rolls him up… one, two, and Showtime kicks out!

Troy: That was close!

Hosemann: It was. Renegade is doing exactly what he needs to do, taking advantage of every opportunity he can to try to steal this one and earn a title shot.

Renegade now goes on the offensive, lifting Showtime up and whipping him against the ropes. Showtime rebounds, and Renegade answers with a hard kick to the gut. Showtime is hunched over, and Renegade moves in, looking for a DDT. However, Showtime counters it into a northern lights suplex! The cover… one, two, and Renegade just barely escapes! Renegade tries to carry himself back to a vertical base, but Showtime now looks to start controlling the pace and tempo of the match. Renegade and Showtime exchange fists in the ring, and Renegade establishes a temporary advantage. However, the slugfest continues, and Showtime takes over, nailing Renegade with a furious left to the jaw, spinning Renegade around! With Renegade dazed, Showtime calls for It’s Showtime! Showtime grabs Renegade for the move, but Renegade nails him with a blind mule kick south of the border that the referee does not see! Renegade then quickly rolls Showtime up, using the ropes for extra leverage, again with the referee not seeing! One, two, three!

Troy: Oh my! Renegade has just beaten Showtime to earn a shot at the International Championship next week, but Scott, the story here is that Renegade has cheated to do it!

Hosemann: You know what,
Troy? He did, but I don’t think that’s the story at all. To me, the story here is that Renegade did what he had to do to get himself a shot at the International Championship next week, and now he has it.

Most of the fans cheer as “Piggy Bank” hits the speakers, and Renegade quickly exits the ring, but quite a few boo at the fact that Showtime lost, and how he lost at that. Renegade doesn’t look back at Showtime or the ring as he exits, and Showtime gets to a knee, looking pissed off in the ring as we take a commercial break.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL: RENEGADE *

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return, a video package airs on the Jumbotron, showing Bryan Conroy vigorously at work, training for his Meltdown match against Jaguar for a shot at the PWA Championship in the final PWA event, Everlasting Epic V. The package is set to Conroy’s theme music, Metallica’s “Sad But True,” and shows Conroy in peak physical condition, preparing for this bout. The package fades out on a graphic reading, “Bryan Conroy vs. Jaguar, Meltdown, LIVE! Only on pay-per-view,” and the camera takes us back to ringside.

Suddenly, “Opium of the People” by Slipknot explodes onto the speakers, and the fans begin booing raucously as GI Jew and Justice make their way to the ring. As they reach the ring, Jew grabs a microphone and the two enter the ring. Justice stands in the background menacingly, and Jew begins to speak.

Jew: I bet last week, all of you were confused as hell by what was going on. Well, let me fill you in. Justice is back in the PWA. I asked Bryan Conroy for a little favor, and he certainly delivered. My big buddy here has been sitting on the sidelines for almost a year and a half, with this unfulfilled urge to just pound on someone. Well, now, thanks to me, Justice has someone to pound on again. Scythe, you couldn’t leave well enough alone, you had to keep coming back for more. You stand on this high moral ground and you condemn me; well, now I’ve condemned you. You see people, Scythe isn’t here tonight, he’s still home recovering from the injuries we gave him last week. However, I can tell you all that he WILL be at Meltdown on July 1 I had a little talk with the commissioner, Helen Summers, a little while ago, and I got a little tag team match arranged for Meltdown. I’m going to be gracious and give Scythe one week to find himself a tag team partner, because on July 1 at Meltdown, it’s going to Scythe and a partner taking on me and Justice in tag team action. So Scythe, rest up, heal up, because next week, I want an answer on your partner. And at Meltdown, I feel bad for whoever agrees to team up with you, because we are fixin to tear both your asses apart.

With that, Jew tosses the microphone down to the mat, the fans boo loudly, and “Opium of the People” replays over the speakers as GI Jew and Justice make their exit.

Troy: How about that, Scott?! It’s going to be GI Jew and Justice taking on Scythe and a partner of his choosing at Meltdown!

Hosemann: And we’re going to find out just who that partner is next week! The lineup for Meltdown just keeps getting hotter and hotter!

Troy: It sure does, folks! Stick with us, we’ll be right back!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Starsailor’s “Counterfeit Life” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Meltdown Report.”  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O’Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Meltdown logo.

O’Brien:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O’Brien and this is the Meltdown report.  Folks, we’re just 11 days away from the second-to-last pay-per-view spectacular in the history of the PWA, Symphony of Destruction, live from Phillips Arena in
Atlanta, Georgia on July 1!

In the main event, with the PWA Championship on the line, Jackie Baccaro defends his crown against The Iceman Jason Calysto, a match that will prove to be the final one of Calysto’s career should he not capture the gold!

Jaguar will return to action in the PWA to defend his Everlasting Epic PWA title match against Bryan Conroy! Jaguar will have Romeo and Kerry Cox as his lumberjacks, and Conroy will field Anthony Failla and a lumberjack to be revealed next in this turbo-charged contest!

In a House of Horrors match to end their feud once and for all, Solomon goes one-on-one with Walter Gindin’s Canadian Destroyer, Briggs!

Two careers will be at stake when Speed Demon battles Army of the Damned member Loki in a barbed wire steel cage match!

Magnifica will defend the Women’s Championship against three-time former champion Lauren Tantalus!

Morgan Day and Keiko Ishida will square off one last time, in a ladder match, to determine the number one contender to the Women’s Championship for Everlasting Epic!

Alpha Omega will defend the Tag Team Championship against
Hollywood Mike Griffin and a partner of his choosing!

Likewise, Scythe will team with a partner of his choice to meet GI Jew and Justice!

And, in a match just signed by Commissioner Helen Summers, we will see a triple threat tag team match, with some rather odd pairings. Based on events that took place tonight, Helen Summers has decided to make teams out of Showtime Damon Savage and Renegade, Mike Grieco and the International Champion James Biamonte, and Dexter P. Wellington and Paul Dawkins! The three teams will battle it out, elimination style, and when just one team remains, the two teammates will battle it out in a singles match for the International Championship! We have been told that this will not affect Renegade’s promised title shot next week on Frequency, but will simply be in addition to it. With all the bad blood that will be in the ring with these six men, and with these unconventional rules at play, anything can happen, and anyone can leave the International Champion!

That’s all for this week, folks.  For the Meltdown report, I’m Ron O’Brien, saying see you next week!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return from break, “And Then What” by Young Jeezy hits the speakers, and the fans begin cheering as Da Playboi Romeo makes his way to the ring! Romeo stands in the squared circle, ready for action, as he awaits the arrival of his partners. Moments later, “War Machine” by KISS thumps onto the speakers, and the fans begin cheering thunderously as Kerry Cox heads to the ring! The fans shower Cox with love and adulation as he heads to the ring, joining Romeo. Then, “F*ckin in the Bushes” by Oasis explodes onto the speakers, and the Ottawa crowd goes nuts as The Iceman Jason Calysto emerges to a thunderous ovation! Calysto joins his partners in the ring, and the three prepare for six-man tag team action.

As they wait on their opposition, “Shoot Outs” by Jadakiss hits the speakers, and Anthony Failla makes his way to the ring to a round of raucous jeers. Failla pauses at the foot of the ramp, waiting for his partners, before entering the ring. As he continues to wait, “Things Done Changed” by Notorious BIG blares onto the speakers, and the PWA World Heavyweight Champion Jackie Baccaro makes his way down the aisle, accompanied by Women’s Champion Magnifica. As the two eye down their opponents, Failla grabs a microphone.

Failla: So, now’s the time we reveal who our partner is, the man who will not only team with us here tonight, but the man who will be Bryan Conroy’s second lumberjack July 1 at Meltdown. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… Rudy Montenora!

Troy: What?! I don’t believe this!

Hosemann: Rudy Montenora is back, and it looks like he is putting his long-standing alliance with Bryan Conroy ahead of everything, and selling this company out!

The fans pop initially at the mention of his name, but soon begin booing loudly as “Lose Yourself” by Eminem hits the speakers, and Rudy Montenora smugly emerges from the backstage area. Montenora joins Baccaro and Failla, and the three enter the ring, going at it with Romeo, Cox, and Calysto get this match underway!

Troy: Alright, here we go!

Hosemann: This should be one hell of a fight!

*
PWA CHAMPION JACKIE BACCARO, ANTHONY FAILLA, & RUDY MONTENORA VS. JASON CALYSTO, KERRY COX, & ROMEO *
Referee: Tom Stevens
A big brawl breaks out at the start of the fray, with no side developing a firm advantage. However, after the initial brawling, Romeo and Rudy Montenora are left in the ring to officially start the match. Romeo is on fire initially, taking Montenora down with repeated clotheslines! Romeo lifts Montenora up, whips him off the ropes, and downs him with a huge powerslam! Montenora writhes on the mat after impact, but Romeo doesn’t relent, lifting Montenora off the mat and whipping him hard into the corner! Montenora hits the corner with impact, and Romeo rushes in, but Montenora is ready for him, nailing him with a hard boot to the jaw as he moves in! Romeo is turned around and staggered, so Montenora climbs up to the second rope and leaps off, planting Romeo down with a huge bulldog! Da Playboi hits the mat with a ton of impact, giving Montenora time to run to the corner and tag Failla into the ring.

The fans boo loudly as Failla enters the ring, and Romeo gets up, and the two meet in the center of the ring, standing face-to-face in a tension-filled face-off. Failla responds first, shoving Romeo, and Romeo then unloads on Failla, using the strike as license to attack. Failla doesn’t know quite what hit him as Romeo goes on a tear, nailing him with furious rights and lefts, and stunning him! Romeo uses the opening to whip Failla against the ropes, but Failla ducks under it, hits the opposite ropes, and on the rebound, he and Romeo floor each other with dueling clotheslines!

Troy: Oh my! That resembled a car wreck!

Hosemann: I think both of these men need to make tags now, and get fresh men in there!

They do exactly that, and due to ring positioning, Failla is the first to reach his corner, and he tags the PWA Champion Jackie Baccaro into the match. Baccaro enters the ring and goes after Romeo, but right before he can reach him, Romeo tags in Jason Calysto, and the roof nearly blows off the Corel Center!

Troy: Calysto is in! We’re going to see a little Meltdown preview right here!

Hosemann: Get ready, Baccaro! The Iceman cometh!

Calysto storms into the ring and immediately begins slugging it out with Baccaro, but due to sheer adrenaline alone, the Iceman establishes the advantage in the slugfest! Calysto staggers Baccaro, and moves in on him further, whipping him against the ropes, and attempting a hard mafia kick as Baccaro rebounds! However, Baccaro has the move scouted, and when he bounces back, Baccaro ducks under the mafia kick, hits the opposite ropes, and floors Calysto with a running forearm! Baccaro goes for the cover… one, two, and Calysto gets a shoulder up!

Troy: That was a close one there!

Hosemann: It certainly was,
Troy. Baccaro used that move as a finisher for some time, so he knows how to put people away with it.

Baccaro keeps the pressure mounted, nailing Calysto with repeated stomps to the midsection, not allowing him to reach a vertical base. With Calysto sufficiently dazed, Baccaro locks him in a figure-four leglock, and begins squeezing the hold tightly! The fans are nervous as Calysto attempts to reach the ropes, but ultimately, the Iceman does exactly that and reaches the ropes, forcing Baccaro to break up the hold! The fans are energized by Calysto reaching the ropes, but Baccaro looks to destroy the hopes of the fans just as quickly as they begin. Baccaro lifts Calysto up and whips him into the ropes. With Calysto stalled in the corner, Baccaro charges at him, and Calysto moves out of the way, only for Baccaro to leap to the top rope in one motion, dive off, turn around in mid-air, and nail the dazed Calysto with a furious springboard clothesline!

Troy: Oh my! What an incredible move by Jackie Baccaro!

Hosemann: Say what you will about Baccaro,
Troy, but this man is one of the most athletic men we have ever seen here in the PWA!

Baccaro goes for the cover… one, two, and Calysto just barely gets a shoulder off the mat! The fans loudly cheer the kickout, but Baccaro is undaunted, now looking to finish off this match. Baccaro lifts Calysto off the mat, and goes for the Baccaro Bomb, but Calysto slips out, and hits the ropes! Baccaro attempts a clothesline on Calysto’s rebound, but Calysto ducks under it, hits the opposite ropes, and drills Baccaro down with a furious spinning heel kick as he returns! The fans cheer thunderously, and Calysto begins his journey to his corner and a potential tag!

Troy: C’mon, Iceman! You can do it!

Hosemann: Biased much?

Troy: Oh come on, like you’re not!

Baccaro does the same, trying to get to his corner, and he does indeed reach it first. Baccaro tags Montenora into the match, and Montenora immediately enters the ring and lunges at Calysto, trying to prevent him from making the tag. However, just before he can get to him, Calysto tags in Kerry Cox, and the roof comes off the Corel Centre!

Troy: Here we go! The fresh man is in!

Hosemann: And Montenora doesn’t look too happy about it!

Cox enters the ring on fire, nailing Montenora with furious lefts and rights, not allowing him an opportunity to get his bearings. With Montenora off balance, Cox whips him down with a big back body drop! Montenora springs to his feet, but Cox downs him with a hard drop clothesline! Montenora is less spry as he gets to his feet this time, and Cox takes advantage, moving up to the second rope, and drilling Montenora down with a furious bulldog as he gets to his feet! Cox goes for the cover…one, two, and Montenora just barely kicks out! With that, Cox gets up and signals for the Coxsucker DDT, which sends the Ottawa crowd into a frenzy! However, just after giving the signal, we see Magnifica at ringside wave down to the back. Then, moments later, The Miracle Mike Troha and Bodycount come charging down the aisle!

Troy: No! What the hell are they doing out here?! They can’t just let us have a match?!

Hosemann: Apparently not,
Troy!

Troha and Bodycount enter the ring and immediately club Cox down, resulting in the referee calling for a disqualification. Romeo and Calysto enter the ring, but between Montenora, Failla, Baccaro, Troha, and Bodycount, they are limited in their effectiveness. Then, suddenly, the fans explode as Greg Tantalus makes his way to the ring, steel chair in tow!

Troy: It’s Greg Tantalus! It’s Greg Tantalus!

Hosemann: Tantalus will help,
Troy, but they’re still outnumbered!

Tantalus swings the chair upon entering, knocking Montenora out of the mix! However, the numbers game begins to catch up, until Hollywood Mike Griffin darts down the aisle, also with a chair, to a thunderous ovation!

Troy: It’s Mike Griffin! Unbelievable!

Hosemann: It is,
Troy, but what is he going to do?!

Griffin comes in and immediately answers that question, smacking Troha in the head with the chair, knocking him out! Calysto, Romeo, and Cox then triple-team Failla and rid the ring of him, while Griffin and Tantalus rear back and crack Bodycount with a vicious conchairto! With Bodycount on wobbly legs, Griffin and Tantalus look at each other and nod slightly. Then, Griffin hits the ropes as Tantalus lifts Bodycount in spinebuster position, and Griffin nails Bodycount with a drop clothesline as he returns, completing the Hart Attack, the old TFU finisher! Bodycount rolls out of the ring on impact, and the fans come unglued as Griffin and Tantalus high-five each other and stand tall in the ring!

Troy: Oh my God! Scott, does this mean what I think it means?! Has Griffin accepted Tantalus’ offer?!

Hosemann: I don’t know if it necessarily means all that, Troy, but it DOES definitely mean that the plans of Jackie Baccaro, Anthony Failla, Rudy Montenora, Magnifica, Mike Troha, Bodycount, Helen Summers, and whoever else was involved with it were most certainly foiled tonight! Look at it,
Troy! Our PWA stalwarts are standing tall, right in the middle of the ring!

Troy: It is a tremendous sight, Scott!

The fans cheer explosively as the heel contingent collects itself on the outside, and the fan favorites beckon them back into the ring! Calysto, Romeo, and Cox are engaged in verbal shouting matches with Baccaro, Failla, Montenora, and Magnifica, while Troha and Bodycount glare menacingly at the reunited TFU, if only for one night, as the camera fades to black.
* WINNERS VIA DISQUALIFICATION: KERRY COX, ROMEO, & JASON CALYSTO *
