COLOGNE ARENA

COLOGNE, GERMANY

SEGMENT 8:  JUMBOTRON:
Back from commercial, we see a video on the Jumbotron, depicting the outside of the Cologne Arena.  A graphic appears on the bottom of the screen reading, "Earlier Today."  People are gathered around two tables and a podium set up in the parking lot, cheering wildly.  On one of the tables sits Jason Calysto, Greg Tantalus, Progressive Champion Renegade, and James Biamonte.  On the other table sits Solomon, Walter Gindin, PWA Champion Hollywood Mike Griffin, and Mike Grieco.  Commissioner Kerry Cox is in between them, standing behind the podium.

Cox:  We are less than three months away from the biggest pay-per-view spectacular in PWA history, Everlasting Epic IV, and on August 20, one portion of that broadcast will emanate live from right here at the Cologne Arena in Cologne, Germany!

The shot cuts to German fans in the lot.

Fan:  This is amazing!  I cannot wait for August 20!

Fan #2:  To see the PWA live is a dream come true.  But to see Everlasting Epic live… I don’t even know what that is!  I can’t believe it!

The shot now cuts to the wrestlers sitting at the table.

Renegade:  It’s gonna be great.  The energy here in Germany is unreal, and I’d love to go out and perform in front of these people at Everlasting Epic.

Now the shot cuts to James Biamonte standing at the podium.

Biamonte:  Mike Grieco just had better hope he doesn’t get in my way before August 20, because I will find him, and if need be, I’ll come right back here to Germany at Everlasting Epic to take him out.

Grieco then stands up and he and Biamonte engage in a hostile staredown that is separated by security personnel.  We now see the world champion Mike Griffin at the podium.

Griffin:  Simply put, Greg Tantalus cannot beat me.  Never has, never will.  I cannot be pinned by Greg Tantalus.  He will never challenge me for this title, and he will never beat me.

We now see Tantalus at the podium.

Tantalus:  Keep thinking that Griffin, keep thinking what you want to think.  I guarantee these people that somewhere, some day, I’ll get you back in that ring, and not only will I beat you, but I’ll beat you within an inch of your life and take your PWA Championship!

Now the shot cuts to Jason Calysto and Solomon standing to leave, staring each other down, and exchanging some words.  Then the shot cuts to Kerry Cox back at the podium.

Cox:  Cologne, Germany, prepare for the time of your lives, because on August 20, you, along with Moscow, Johannesburg, and Rio de Janeiro, will be a part of the biggest spectacular in PWA history!  You will all be a part of Everlasting Epic IV!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK #6 --

SEGMENT 9:  MATCH 3:  PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP:  JACKIE BACCARO © VS. PAUL DAWKINS:
Referee:  Jose Soares
Sevendust’s “Black” begins to play, and the crowd instinctively begins to cheer as they get ready for the long awaited International Championship rematch. Paul Dawkins arrives alone, but with thousands of fans in his corner as he makes his way to the ring.

Troy: It was last month at Requiem where Paul Dawkins lost the International Championship in controversial fashion to Jackie Baccaro. He partially tore his labrum in that match, but that has been fixed via arthroscopic surgery, and Paul looks ready to regain the gold tonight.

Ferrara: Dawkins is healthy again, but he still has yet to score a pinfall over Jackie Baccaro. Can he do it tonight in Germany?

As Dawkins waits in the ring, “Things Done Changed” by The Notorious B.I.G. hits the speakers and boos pour from the crowd as Baccaro and Vulture walk out. The champion throws his arms into the air as his familiar free-falling gold pyro streams down behind him.

Ferrara: Look at how confident the champion looks tonight. He’s not sweating a thing.

Baccaro and Vulture both exude confidence and focus as they stroll down to the ring. Vulture carries a cocky smirk in the direction of Dawkins as Baccaro climbs into the ring to show the people the gold he sports. Baccaro hands over the belt to Jose Soares, but everyone looks at the ramp once 50 Cent's "Piggy Bank" hits and Renegade steps out! A huge ovation greets The Progressive Champion, but it grows once Liz Rush follows him out!

Ferrara: What are they doing here?!

Troy: You remember how Baccaro won that belt in the first place. Renegade is out here to make sure no funny business is going on.

The music stops and the bell sounds, prompting Dawkins to go right on the attack by nailing Baccaro in the back. He stomps him down into a corner, exciting the crowd as Renegade and Rush stand on the opposite side of Vulture. Dawkins pounds Baccaro down until Soares stops him, bringing the crowd to its feet in celebration of his early advantage.

Troy: Dawkins has gotten off to an incredible start here!

Baccaro reaches his feet as Dawkins charges for a Stinger Splash, but he slips out of the way. Dawkins crashes into the turnbuckles chest-first, allowing Baccaro to hit the ropes and flatten him with a huge clothesline! Baccaro covers for a two count.

He then lifts Dawkins up and drops him with a scoop slam before giving him a blatant choke hold. Soares breaks it by the count of five, but the damage has already been done as Dawkins gasps for air. Baccaro scoffs at the crowd before lifting Dawkins up, holding him high in the air and driving him down on his back with a big vertical suplex!

Ferrara: Baccaro has not only recovered from his rough start, but he's in total control right now.

Baccaro kicks Dawkins in the head before whipping him to the ropes and downing him with a big powerslam. Baccaro hooks the far leg for one....two....and Dawkins kicks out! Baccaro begins to argue the call with Soares, but only for a brief time.

Baccaro goes to lift Dawkins up, but the challenger shocks him with two elbows to the midsection before flooring him with a European uppercut! Dawkins backs Baccaro into the ropes and whips him, but its reversed. Baccaro ducks his head for a back body drop, but Dawkins stops short and jumps high before driving him down with a Scud Missile legdrop!

Troy: Scud Missile! Dawkins is back in it!

Dawkins gets back to his feet and goes off on Baccaro, clubbing him in the back with hard blows before whipping him to the ropes and flooring him with a high dropkick. Baccaro gets up reeling, and Dawkins drives him down twice with two clotheslines. Baccaro staggers up again and stumbles back into a corner, where Dawkins meets him with a huge Stinger Splash! Baccaro walks out and falls right on his face before Dawkins signals for The M.O.A.B.!

Troy: Time for it!

Ferrara: Vulture is on the apron!

Vulture hops onto the ring apron, but Renegade runs around to yank him down. During their struggler, Dexter P. Wellington runs down the ramp and clubs the Progressive Champion down from behind! Liz Rush jumps on Wellington's back to try and stop him, but she is taken down herself by Keiko Ishida!

Troy: Keiko Ishida and Dex Wellington are taking Liz and Renegade out of this thing!

Ferrara: Everyone wants an advantage going into The Symphony of Destruction!

Dawkins sets Baccaro up for The M.O.A.B. to end the match, but Vulture grabs Baccaro's belt and whacks him from behind! Dawkins falls to the mat in a heap, and Soares immediately calls for the bell to award the match to the challenger!

Troy: Dammit! Vulture just cost Paul Dawkins the title the same way he did to James Biamonte!

Ferrara: And now he's puttin the boots to him!

Vulture stomps away on Dawkins as Baccaro slowly rolls out of the ring. Ishida pounds away on Rush as Wellington and Winston continue to go to work on Renegade. A team of officials rush down to try and break things up as we go to a commercial break.

WINNER VIA DISQUALIFICATION AT 9:03:  PAUL DAWKINS
STILL INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION:  JACKIE BACCARO

SEGMENT 10:  JUMBTRON:
Evanescence’s “Thoughtless” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Symphony of Destruction Report.”  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O’Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Symphony of Destruction logo.

O’Brien:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O’Brien and this is the Symphony of Destruction report.  Folks, we’re just 18 days away from what promises to be one of the biggest pay-per-view spectaculars in the history of the PWA, Symphony of Destruction, live from
SBC Park in San Francisco, California on June 11!  The centerpiece of this incredible event is the third-annual Symphony of Destruction match itself!  The Symphony of Destruction will consist of thirty PWA superstars, each randomly drawing a number from one to thirty.  Numbers one and two will start the match, with a new superstar entering every two minutes thereafter.  Fans from last year will remember the one huge difference that separates the Symphony of Destruction from a Royal Rumble: in a Royal Rumble, elimination can be scored only via tossing your opponent over the top rope and to the arena floor.  In the Symphony of Destruction, fighting on the outside of the ring is completely legal and, often, encouraged.  No one can be eliminated by being tossed over the top rope.  There are only two ways to eliminate an opponent: by pinning them to the mat, 1, 2, 3, or by forcing them to submit.  The Symphony of Destruction gives you all the suspense and intrigue of a Royal Rumble, but the added bonus of having to pin your opponent or make them submit to determine a true and clear winner.  The last man standing on June 11 after all 30 have entered will be declared the winner and will advance straight to Everlasting Epic IV on August 20, emanating from four different countries, to challenge for whichever world championship he chooses!  Thus far, 17 superstars have entered the Symphony of Destruction, and they are International Champion Jackie Baccaro, Progressive Champion Renegade, Paul Dawkins, Superstar Scott Hosemann, Darrin Giles, Justin Schenck, Dexter P. Wellington, Vladimir Vydrina, Jon Dulberg, James Biamonte, Jason Calysto, Solomon, Mike Grieco, Speed Demon, Reaper, Dynamite Dean Nash, and Damien Fields!  Thirteen slots are still open for this incredible match, and we will bring more participants to you next week on Frequency.

Also in store for this spectacular pay-per-view will be a defense of the PWA World Heavyweight Championship by
Hollywood Mike Griffin against the winner of the ongoing tournament for a title shot!  Who will Griffin defend the gold against?  We’ll find out before this night is out!

In a Last Man Standing match for the ORA World Heavyweight Championship, GI Jew will defend the gold against former kingpin Anthony Failla!

The Tag Team Championship will be up for grabs as the new Naturals of Steve Beovich and Greg Price defend the titles against former champs Paul Epton and John Wolfe!

The undefeated Women’s Champion Keiko Ishida will defend the gold, her streak, and her six-month title reign against the upstart Liz Rush!

Plus, Evanescence will be in attendance to perform “Thoughtless,” the show’s theme, live!

That’s all for this week, folks.  More to come next week!  For the Symphony of Destruction report, I’m Ron O’Brien, saying see you then!

SEGMENT 11:  BACKSTAGE:

The camera cuts backstage, where a smiling Speed Demon is standing with a beaming Dana Chapman by the back exit of the arena.  The two kiss, and Dana then exits the building.  Demon is all smiles as he turns around to head back to the locker room, but he runs into a stone-faced Reaper.

Reaper:  What was that all about?

Demon:  What?  Nothing.  Just saying goodbye to Dana.

Reaper:  What’s going on there?

Demon:  What do you mean?

Reaper:  With you and Dana.  What’s going on there?

Demon:  I’m not gonna lie.  I like her a lot.  And she likes me a lot too.

Reaper:  Demon, what did we say?  No distractions.  This is a big distraction.  Why do you think we can’t get the tag belts back?

Demon:  I really don’t think this has anything to do with it.  I’m staying focused.

Reaper:  If you were staying focused, we wouldn’t be having this problem.  You need to talk to her, and tell her you can’t do this, because she’s not good for us.  We have a job to do, and you can’t be having distractions.

Demon:  Seriously, this isn’t a problem.

Reaper:  Well I’m making it one.  Talk to the girl for the sake of our team, or we’re gonna have a big problem.

Reaper then walks away, leaving a confused and angered Speed Demon behind as we take our final break.

SEGMENT 12:  MATCH 4:  TOURNAMENT MATCH – FINALS:  SCYTHE VS. JAGUAR:
Referee:  Matt Hansen
Tool's "Parabola" hits the speakers, and an immense chorus of boos comes for the arrival of Hollywood Mike Griffin. Decked out in a clean navy pinstriped suit, The PWA World Heavyweight Champion slings his belt over his shoulder and throws his arms up to summon his majestic fireworks that explode behind him on the stage. Within moments, Griffin walks around the ringside area to take a seat at the announce position.

Troy: Since I know what this next match is for, I'm not going to ask why you're out here.

Griffin: I'm the champ, I can go wherever I want whenever I want, no matter who is out here. 3

Ferrara: Well Mike, the 6-man tournament is now down to the final two. What is your call here?

Griffin: It really doesn't matter to me. I can beat both men any night I choose to, so I'm just out here to look the winner, yet eventual loser, right in the eye after he wins.

As they continue to talk, Linkin Park's "With You" begins to play and the entrance fills with smoke as Scythe steps out onto the ramp. The Modern Day Samurai walks out to a huge ovation, and he looks more ready than ever to earn another crack at the PWA's top prize as he slides into the ring and hops onto the turnbuckles.

Troy: Scythe looks fired up tonight!

Ferrara: He better be, looking at who he's facing. After beating Greg Tantalus and Romeo, Scythe has come too far to stop now.

Scythe removes his entrance gear, but the focus shifts back to the entrance as Mannie Fresh's "Real Big" hits and the roar grows to even higher levels. Jaguar makes his way out to a massive ovation, and he salutes the crowd before his fiery pyro ignites behind him on the stage.

Ferrara: Jaguar is out to an incredible ovation, but he is not getting caught up in it. He knows whats at stake tonight.

Troy: Jaguar and Scythe have only met one-on-one three times. In July of last year, they fought to a 60-minte draw for The PWA Championship. At Walking Wounded in Septemeber, Scythe defeated Jaguar to retain that title. But in March of this year, Jaguar defeated Scythe at a live event to also retain the PWA Title. So their record in competition is 1-1-1.

Griffin: Well I've got that title now, so it won't matter what they do in this match, because this title isn't going anywhere next month. I guarantee it.

Jaguar climbs into the ring and removes his ring jacket, shades and bandana before coming to the middle of the ring to look Scythe in the eye. Each man extends their hands to the other, and the bell sounds as the crowd cheers their handshake.

Troy: Don't see that too much.

Griffin: I don't do it when I'm about to embarrass someone in the ring.

Jaguar and Scythe circle the ring before locking up in the middle. Each man is equal on strength, so Scythe uses his slight technical advantage to take Jaguar down with an armdrag. Jaguar gets up and runs at Scythe, but he falls with a drop toe hold. Scythe floats over into a front facelock, but Jaguar forces himself up to his feet and rushes him backwards into a corner to break his grip.

Jaguar reddens Scythe's chest with a hard reverse knife-edge chop before Irish whipping him to the corner and hitting a back body drop once he stumbles out. The fresh Jaguar watches Scythe get up before taking him back down with a clothesline.

Jaguar grabs Scythe by the hair to get him up before planting a right hand against his jaw. Scythe comes back with a shot of his own, but Jaguar puts a knee in his midsection to keep the pace slowed. Jaguar backs scythe to the ropes and shoots him across the ring before catching him with a surprising sleeperhold.

Troy: Interesting move by Jaguar here.

Griffin: He doesn't do that much, but Scythe has already wrestled tonight and Jaguar is looking to tire him out the way I do to him every time we wrestle.

Ferrara: Well said.

Griffin: Of course it was.

Scythe's half of the crowd cheers him on to escape, and he does so by dropping down and throwing his weight forward, knocking Jaguar's chin against the top turnbuckle! He stumbles backwards into a Scythe rollup for one....two...and a kickout!

Both men get up and Jaguar throws a right hand, but Scythe blocks it and comes back with two of his own. He lands a third before Irish whipping Jaguar across the ring. Scythe ducks down for a back body drop, but Jaguar scouts it and stops short before hooking him up and drilling him with Version 1.0! Jaguar hooks a leg for one....two....and Scythe manages to kick out!

Troy: I thought he had him there!

Jaguar continues the offensive onslaught by lifting Scythe off the canvas and planting him back down with a brain buster. Jaguar leaves the ring to begin to head up to the top turnbuckle. He looks for the Suga Splash, but stops once Romeo runs down the ramp to the ring!

Troy: Romeo is back out here!

Ferrara: After he lost to Scythe, he's gotta be out to ruin this match!

Griffin: He hates both of these guys more than I do, so you might be right Paul.

Jaguar jumps back down to the canvas as Romeo nears the ring. He pokes his head out through the ropes to take a swipe at Da Playboi, but Romeo backs away for him to miss. Jaguar swings again, but Scythe gets up and grabs him in a waistlock before rolling him backwards long enough for Matt Hansen to count to three!

Ferrara: Oh wow!

Troy: In a flash, Scythe has won this match!

Ferrara: Yeah, but thanks to the guy he beat earlier tonight!

"With You" replays as Scythe carries an exhausted look of victory, but Jaguar argues with Hansen in pure disbelief. Romeo backpedals up the ramp, but Jaguar wastes no time in leaving the ring to chase him back behind the curtain. Scythe is named as the official winner, and the crowd showers him with cheers as he celebrates.

Troy: It might be filled with controversy, but cythe has won the tournament and will face you for the title in San Franscisco, Mike Griffin!

Griffin: He's not gonna have to wait long.

Griffin throws down his headset and slides into the ring to nail Scythe from behind! Griffin stomps away on Scythe, and within no time, the rest of The Legacy floods out from the back to assist him.

Troy: Oh, what the hell is this now?!

Ferrara: They're beating the hell out of Scythe, that’s what!

Troy: The Legacy is taking Scythe apart right now!

Griffin nails Scythe with a huge release German Suplex that sets him up perfectly for Darrin Giles to nail him with a his signature top rope splash! Scythe clutches his midsection as The Omega Steve Beovich also mounts the top rope and blasts him with Extreme Precision! The bell sounds repeatedly, and a swarm of officials rush out to break it up, but they have no success. Greg Price grabs Scythe by the legs and turns him over into his Boston Crab as Justin Schenck smacks him in the head, but the beating halts once Sevendust's "Trust" hits and Briggs charges out with a chain dangling from his neck!

Troy: It’s Briggs! Briggs is here!

Ferrara: And with a weapon!

Briggs runs down the ramp and into the ring before removing the chain and swinging it wildly over his head. The helicopter motion sends The Legacy scurrying for cover as the officials rush in to check on the battered and beaten number one contender.

Troy: Thank God Briggs came out here, but Scythe is hurt and hurt bad.

Ferrara: We might not even have a title match at The SOD Troy!

Troy: After looking at this...you could be right.
