TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2006 * ARENA COLISEO * MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

As we return from break, "Arcarsenal" by At the Drive-In blasts onto the speakers, and the fans begin booing loudly as The Miracle Mike Troha begins making his way to the ring, accompanied by Greg Tantalus' former lover and manager, Michelle. Troha gets down the aisle and steps into the ring, stretching himself out on the ropes and looking really focused as Michelle positions herself on the outside and he awaits his opposition. Moments later, "War Machine" by KISS blasts onto the speakers, and the Hardcore Icon Kerry Cox emerges to a thunderous ovation from the capacity crowd! The fans cheer wildly as Cox makes his way into the ring, and Cox doesn't wait a second, immediately blasting Troha with hard right hands as the referee scrambles to ring the bell!

Troy: And here we go! Golden Ring tournament semifinal action is underway!

Hosemann: And my man Kerry Cox is not wasting any time! Cox is going right after Troha, and he wants this win badly, just two victories away from $500,000 of
Bryan Conroy's money!

* GOLDEN RING TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL: KERRY COX VS. THE MIRACLE MIKE TROHA *
Referee: Billy Vargas

Cox backs Troha up with several stiff right hands to the jaw, leaving enough space for Cox to whip Troha against the ropes and nail him with an atomic drop as he returns! Troha stumbles away, clutching his crotch, and Cox uses the opening to charge him and strike him down with a thunderous drop clothesline! Cox wastes no time, and immediately goes for a cover... one, two, and Troha escapes. Cox, however, continues to pour on the pressure, nailing Troha with repeated stomps to the midsection, not allowing the former PWA Champion to get back to his feet. Cox then grabs Troha's legs and slingshots him into the corner, sending Troha's head crashing into the top turnbuckle! Troha's head bounces off the buckle, and he falls back to the mat, leaving Cox open to signal for the figure-four leglock!

Troy: He's going for the figure-four!

Hosemann: Troy, I've felt the effects of Kerry's figure-four before, and he has a damn good one! If he's able to slap it on good, this one may be over in a hurry!

Kerry looks to apply the maneuver, but as he does so, Michelle jumps onto the apron, trying to distract the referee! However, Cox sees this and lunges at Michelle, causing her to jump off the apron and back down to the arena floor, trying to avoid any physicality! Michelle yells at Cox from the arena floor, and he yells back, but takes his eyes off Troha, who lunges at him and clips his right leg out from under him! The fans boo loudly as Troha takes advantage in the bout, stomping away viciously and violently on Cox. Troha ties Cox in a half crab and cinches it in tightly, looking for the submission victory.

Troy: Kerry really needs to hang on here!

Hosemann: He's probably in more than a fair amount of pain right now, but he's close to the ropes, he can make it!

With the Mexican crowd cheering him on rabidly, Cox is able to pull himself a quarter of the way across the ring and reach the ropes, forcing the hold to be broken! However, Troha opts not to release Cox from the hold, instead testing the referee and locking it in even tighter, trying to break Cox's back! However, when the official reaches a four count, Troha finally breaks the hold and the fans boo him heartily. Troha then lets loose with a series of hard stomps on Cox, stomping him into oblivion. The Miracle gets under the crowd's skin, taunting them, as Cox struggles back to his feet, and when Cox gets to a knee, Troha rears back and slaps him hard across the face!

Troy: Oh come on! Was that necessary?!

Hosemann: He doesn't want to just beat him,
Troy, he wants to humiliate him!

Cox keeps struggling, trying to get up, and Troha keeps smugly knocking him down. Troha finally lifts Cox again, and prepares to lock on the Mental Miracle.

Troy: Oh God, the Mental Miracle. This move is more embarrassing than it is painful.

Hosemann: And that's why Troha continues to use it,
Troy.

Troha grabs Cox in the cranium crunch he calls the Mental Miracle and squeezes it on tightly, but Cox is able to slide his leg between Troha's and counter the move into a tight small package! One, two, three!

Troy: Yes! Yes! I don't believe it! Kerry Cox has stunned Mike Troha, and is now moving to the finals of the Golden Ring tournament!

Hosemann: Way to go, Kerry! This is a triumphant moment, Troy!

The fans begin cheering thunderously as "War Machine" blares over the speakers, but Troha is not amused. Troha immediately gets up and clips Cox's leg out from under him, and begins peppering him with hard, furious stomps! Michelle enters and begins stomping him for good measure as well, but then Greg Tantalus charges out from the back! The fans cheer wildly as Tantalus enters and begins mixing it up with Troha, knocking him down! Tantalus then makes a charge at Michelle, which prompts the fans to cheer louder, but Anthony Failla hits the ring and lays out Tantalus from behind! Troha, Failla, and Michelle then put the boots to Cox and Tantalus, but the fans explode as Jason Calysto storms down the aisle, chair in tow! The heels quickly dart out of the ring at the sight of Calysto, and the fans cheer thunderously as "F*ckin in the Bushes" by Oasis blares over the speakers and a chair-wielding Calysto dares them back into the ring!

Troy: This war has gotten serious, folks! Jason Calysto has come to the aid of Kerry Cox and Greg Tantalus here, and he is not that far away from meeting that man, Anthony Failla, in the other semifinal bout!

Hosemann: It should be a war tonight, folks! A true war!

Troy: You can say that again, Scott! Folks, we'll be right back!

* WINNER VIA PINFALL: KERRY COX *

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return from commercial, we see the PWA commissioner Helen Summers walking through the backstage area, a grin on her face. She enters a dressing room without knocking, which turns out to be that of Romeo. Romeo is aggravated to see her, but Summers enters the room, walks past him, and turns around, prompting Romeo to turn around as well.

Romeo: Why the hell are you here?

Helen: Ok
Rome, I’ve got to admit, what you did last week REALLY turned me on. I mean, you resisted me. You chose to attack Anthony Failla and spare Jaguar, perhaps just to stick it to me. And you know, nothing turns me on more than a little playing hard to get.

Romeo: You really are a stupid bitch, aren’t you? Don’t you…

Suddenly, Romeo is blasted down from behind by Anthony Failla, who charges in through the open dressing room door! Failla beats on Romeo viciously with repeated punches to the head and face, with some kicks thrown in by Helen Summers for good measure as well! With Romeo down and out, Summers tells Failla to pull Romeo’s head up so that she can say something. When Failla does this, Helen rears back and slaps Romeo in the face!

Helen: Nobody disobeys me, Romeo! You hear that?! Nobody! I am not to be resisted, or disagreed with in any way! You should have chosen your battles Romeo, because you now exist in a living hell! Now get this scum out of my building!

Failla grabs Romeo, stands him up, and walks him forcefully to the parking lot, and heaves him out the door! The fans in the arena boo vociferously as we go to commercial.

Troy: This is disgusting! This regime needs to be stopped!

Hosemann: And just who is going to stop it,
Troy?!

Troy: Dammit! Dammit to hell! We’ll be right back!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return from break, we see Hollywood Mike Griffin walking through the backstage area, when he is stopped by Legacy stablemates Darrin Giles and his brother Infernus.

Infernus: Hey Mike, how’s it going?

Griffin: It’s going just fine. How about with you guys?

Infernus: It’s fine. Listen Mike, we’ve been looking for you because we’ve got something to say.

Giles: Yeah, and it’s not something you’re going to necessarily like hearing either, so please try to keep an open mind.

Infernus: We want you to reconsider challenging Jackie Baccaro for the PWA Championship. Now, we know you really want this match and all, and you’ve been waiting for a title opportunity for a long time, but this isn’t really the time or the place.

Giles: He’s got a point. Justin has set us up pretty good with the new regime of this place, and we’re afraid that something you do at Symphony of Destruction will ruin the good thing we’ve got going.

Infernus: I know you’re really psyched about this match and all, but we’d really appreciate it if you’d just reconsider and not go through with it. What do you say?

Griffin: I say you two should stop wasting my time. I’m done listening to this.

Infernus and Giles are left speechless as Hollywood Mike Griffin walks off. However, seconds later, Griffin is blasted down from behind by the PWA Champion Jackie Baccaro! Baccaro pounds away on Griffin viciously, and Infernus and Giles simply walk away! Griffin is left lying in a heap on the ground backstage as we head to commercial.

Troy: Scott, did they just set Griffin up?!

Hosemann: It certainly does appear that way, doesn’t it?

Troy: This is madness! We’ll be right back!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return, “Shoot Outs” by Jadakiss blasts onto the speakers, and Anthony Failla begins making his way to the ring to a response of thunderous boos. Failla, who comes to the ring alone, steps into the squared circle, and begins stretching himself out on the ropes as he awaits his opposition. Moments later, “F*ckin in the Bushes” by Oasis hits the speakers, and the fans go berserk for the arrival of The Iceman Jason Calysto! Calysto storms down the aisle, and chooses to get a quick start on things, immediately sliding into the ring and nailing Failla with repeated stiff right hands to the face!

Troy: And here we go! Calysto is wasting no time!

* GOLDEN RING TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL: THE ICEMAN JASON CALYSTO VS. ANTHONY FAILLA *
Referee: Matt Hansen
Calysto pounds away on Failla, staggering him and sending him reeling into the ropes. Calysto then whips Failla against the ropes and nails him with a big back body drop as he returns! Failla gets to his feet, and Calysto charges, clotheslining him over the top and out! Failla tries to regroup himself on the outside, as the fans cheer wildly!

Troy: Calysto has started fast here! Failla doesn’t know what hit him!

Hosemann: That’s the Iceman for you!

Failla regroups and walks back into the ring, but Calysto charges right at him and tries to take him down with a mafia kick! However, Failla ducks under it, and able to blast Calysto down with a furious spinebuster! Failla then unleashes an array of stomps on Calysto, preventing him from getting back to a base. This gives Failla an opening to lift Calysto up and heave him into the corner. Failla staggers Calysto with repeated chops to the chest, before perching him on the top rope and looking for a superplex to crush Calysto down! However, when Failla goes up to get him, Calysto shoves him down off the top and to the mat! Then, as Failla gets up, Calysto lets loose with the Bottom Line, smashing Failla down! The fans cheer wildly at this, and as Failla gets up again, Calysto crushing him down with a furious spinning heel kick! The fans continue their rabid cheers, as Calysto signals for the Crossface!

Troy: The Crossface! The Crossface! Here it comes!

Hosemann: Failla had better watch out!

Calysto gets ready to slap on the move, but just as he ties Failla in the hold, Magnifica runs out and distracts the referee! The referee then does not see Jackie Baccaro enter the ring and smash Calysto in the back of the head with the PWA championship belt! Baccaro then lifts Calysto up and drills him with the Baccaro Bomb! Magnifica then leaps off the apron and Baccaro exits the ring as Failla lifts Calysto up and drills him down with the Almighty Sacrifice! Failla covers… one, two, three.

Troy: No! Goddammit, no! Anthony Failla is advancing to the finals to face Kerry Cox! Jason Calysto has been screwed!

Hosemann: He has,
Troy! But are you really surprised?! Baccaro wasn’t going to let Calysto get off without incident for eliminating him from this tournament!

Troy: I guess so, Scott! But dammit, Anthony Failla is moving on, thanks to goddamn Jackie Baccaro and Magnifica!

The fans boo loudly as Failla issues his thanks to an applauding Baccaro and Magnifica, and “Shoot Outs” blares throughout the arena as we head to break.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL: ANTHONY FAILLA *

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return, we see the PWA Champion Jackie Baccaro enter the office of PWA owner Bryan Conroy and commissioner Helen Summers, with Magnifica. The company higher-ups are pleased to see them.

Conroy: Welcome! Jackie, my man, EXCELLENT job out there just now, I must say. Very, very well done. Now, we have Anthony Failla in the finals against Kerry Cox next week and, for some reason, I get the feeling everything is going to work out just fine.

Baccaro: No problem. we did what we could do.

Magnifica: It’s our pleasure,
Bryan, truly. And I must say, you two are doing a tremendous job since taking over this company.

Conroy: Your kind words are much appreciated.

Helen: Yes, thank you.

Magnifica: By the way, Helen, I LOVE that outfit.

Helen: Do you? Thank you! I love it too.

Conroy: Ok, ok. We’ve got a little bit of business left to accomplish here. Jackie, you know that you have a tag team match a little later on, right?

Baccaro: I do, and I’ve gotta say, Bryan, I’m not totally pleased about it. I mean, I’ve got no problem beating on Greg Tantalus and Scythe, but teaming with GI Jew? He and I have more than our share of bad blood.

Conroy: I know. But Helen had a great idea, and I’ve set it up. We realized that much of the bad blood you had with GI Jew was directly related to and caused by Vulture. Now that Vulture is out of the picture, you two should be able to put this behind you.

There is a knock at the door.

Conroy: I’ve invited him here so that you two can shake hands and agree on pounding the hell out of Scythe and Tantalus here tonight.

Summers opens the door and GI Jew enters. Baccaro and Jew engage in a heated staredown in the office, but Baccaro breaks it by offering his hand. Jew continues to stare at him for several moments before extending his own hand and shaking Baccaro’s.

Helen: See? That wasn’t so hard! Now let’s all let bygones be bygones and take it out on Scythe and Tantalus.

Baccaro: I can move on and put it all in the past if you can.

Jew: Then let’s kick the snot out of Scythe and Tantalus tonight.

Baccaro: Sounds good to me.

Baccaro and Jew stand across from each other, each hesitant to trust the other, but Conroy, Summers, and Magnifica seem pleased at the development, and stand nodding and smiling as we take a commercial break.

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Dredg’s “Ode To The Sun” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Symphony of Destruction Report.”  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O’Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Symphony of Destruction logo.

O’Brien:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O’Brien and this is the Symphony of Destruction report.  Folks, we’re just 18 days away from what promises to be one of the biggest pay-per-view spectaculars in the history of the PWA, Symphony of Destruction, live from Citizens Bank Park in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 3!  The centerpiece of this incredible event is the third-annual Symphony of Destruction match itself!  The Symphony of Destruction will consist of thirty PWA superstars, each randomly drawing a number from one to thirty.  Numbers one and two will start the match, with a new superstar entering every two minutes thereafter.  Fans from years past will remember the one huge difference that separates the Symphony of Destruction from a Royal Rumble: in a Royal Rumble, elimination can be scored only via tossing your opponent over the top rope and to the arena floor.  In the Symphony of Destruction, fighting on the outside of the ring is completely legal and, often, encouraged.  No one can be eliminated by being tossed over the top rope.  There are only two ways to eliminate an opponent: by pinning them to the mat, 1, 2, 3, or by forcing them to submit.  The Symphony of Destruction gives you all the suspense and intrigue of a Royal Rumble, but the added bonus of having to pin your opponent or make them submit to determine a true and clear winner.  The last man standing on June 3 after all 30 have entered will be declared the winner and will advance straight to Everlasting Epic V on August 12, emanating from Madison Square Garden in New York City, to challenge for the PWA World Heavyweight Championship! Thus far, 20 superstars have entered the Symphony of Destruction. The PWA International Champion Showtime Damon Savage, Dexter P. Wellington, James Biamonte, John Wolfe, Paul Epton, Scythe, Loki, Bishop Cross, GI Jew, and the PWA Progressive Champion Soaring Phoenix will join The Iceman Jason Calysto, Anthony Failla, Greg Tantalus, The Miracle Mike Troha, Romeo, Solomon, Briggs, the Tag Team Champions Paul Dawkins and Renegade, and the owner of the PWA, Bryan Conroy, who were announced last week!  Ten slots are still open for this incredible match, and we will bring more participants to you next week on Frequency.

Also in store for this spectacular pay-per-view will be a defense of the PWA World Heavyweight Championship by Jackie Baccaro, as he defends against two-time former champion Hollywood Mike Griffin!

The International Championship will be defended in triple threat action, as Showtime Damon Savage puts the gold on the line against both James Biamonte and Dexter P. Wellington!
In a loser-leaves-PWA hardcore match, Speed Demon will meet former Lost Souls tag team partner and current Army of the Damned soldier Reaper!

Plus, Magnifica will challenge the winner of next week’s Women’s Championship bout between Keiko Ishida and Lauren Tantalus for the title!

That’s all for this week, folks.  More to come next week!  For the Symphony of Destruction report, I’m Ron O’Brien, saying see you then!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return, “Things Done Changed” by Notorious BIG hits the speakers, and the PWA World Heavyweight Champion Jackie Baccaro makes his way to the ring, alongside his manager Magnifica, and his tag team partner for the night, GI Jew. The two uneasy partners make their way to the ring, and Magnifica takes her place on the outside of the ring. Baccaro and Jew share some words in the ring, and “Be Just or Be Dead” by Daisuke Ishiwatari hits the speakers, and the fans begin cheering as the Modern-Day Samurai Scythe makes his way to the ring! Scythe pauses halfway down the ramp, and “Hey You” by Simon Says blares onto the speakers, and the fans begin cheering thunderously as Greg Tantalus begins making his way to the ring! Tantalus and Scythe meet halfway, and immediately dart into the ring, getting things going!

Troy: Alright, here we go!

Hosemann: We’re kicking it off now!

* PWA CHAMPION JACKIE BACCARO & GI JEW VS. GREG TANTALUS & SCYTHE *
Referee: Tom Stevens
Baccaro begins brawling with Tantalus, and Jew slugs it out with Scythe! Jew and Scythe immediately take their battle to the outside of the ring, brawling furiously! The referee struggles to gain control, but Jew and Scythe immediately take their battle into the crowd and brawl away!

Troy: What the hell just happened?!

Hosemann: I think Jew and Scythe have battled their way out of here!

Troy: And the bell hasn’t even rang to get this match started!

Baccaro and Tantalus continue brawling in the ring, until The Miracle Mike Troha and Michelle storm down the aisle and begin attacking Tantalus, as Magnifica enters and join in the assault as well! The fans boo as a four-on-one assault ensues on the three-time former PWA Champion! However, before the attack can get serious, Hollywood Mike Griffin darts down the aisle with a chair in hand! Griffin enters and swings the chair at Troha, causing him, Michelle, and Magnifica to dart out of the ring! Griffin then turns around and smacks Baccaro in the back with the chair, causing him to flee as well! Baccaro, Troha, Michelle, and Magnifica all escape and the fans cheer wildly! Griffin puts down the chair and turns around, to see Greg Tantalus standing there! The two begin staring each other down, with the fans cheering thunderously.

Troy: Oh my! Look at this! Griffin and Tantalus are engaged in a stand-off!

Hosemann:
Griffin just saved Tantalus’ ass, Troy, and now the two former partners are face to face! What’s gonna happen?!

Troy: I don’t know, Scott, but we’re out of time! See you next week for our 200th episode, live from
Rockefeller Center!
