TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2006 * ARENA COLISEO * MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

A video package airs, highlighting events that took place last week, with Bryan Conroy announcing Helen Summers as the new commissioner of the PWA, The Miracle Mike Troha advancing to the semifinals of the Golden Ring tournament by beating Greg Tantalus due to interference from Tantalus’ returning ex-girlfriend and manager Michelle, Helen Summers coming on to Romeo and promising him sexual favors if he screws Jaguar out of his match with Anthony Failla later that night, Romeo then overhearing Summers bragging to Conroy about her ability to trick Romeo into thinking she was genuine with her promise, and Romeo subsequently laying out Failla instead of Jaguar with a chair in the match, only for Summers herself to override the authority of the assigned official and declare Failla the winner via disqualification and declare Jaguar’s career finished. From there, “By_Myslf” by Linkin Park hits as the opening credits roll. At their conclusion, a dazzling pyrotechnics display ensues and we are sent to ringside at Arena Coliseo in Mexico City, Mexico, to our commentators Victor Troy and Superstar Scott Hosemann!

Troy: Hello everyone, and welcome to PWA Frequency! I’m Victor Troy, along here with Superstar Scott Hosemann, and we can only hope that tonight will go better than the two weeks that have preceded it.

Hosemann: That’s for sure,
Troy. Ever since Bryan Conroy regained control of this company on May 6, we have been subject to an inordinate amount of chaos and tumult around here, the likes of which are almost indescribable. We are down to the semifinal round of the Golden Ring tournament, in which Conroy will give out $500,000 of his own money, and it is essentially down to two people he wouldn’t at all mind giving the money too, one person he’d rather not give the money to, and one individual whom he despises and would want anything but to give the money too.

Troy: That’s right, Scott. It’s down to Kerry Cox vs. Mike Troha, and Jason Calysto vs. Anthony Failla, with the winners of the respective matches meeting in the finals of this tournament right here next week on Frequency, on our 200th episode of this program, live from Rockefeller Center in New York City. But before we get there, we need to advance past tonight, and with the way things have gone since Conroy and Summers began their regime, you wonder what kind of chance Cox and Calysto are even going to have in their matches tonight.

Hosemann: It’s true, but both of these guys are world class athletes, and you have to just hope they can overcome the obstacles that are bound to be put in front of them.

Troy: Also tonight, folks, we have been informed that Bryan Conroy has signed another main event. In tag team action, we will see the PWA World Heavyweight Champion Jackie Baccaro team up with former rival GI Jew to meet up with Greg Tantalus and Scythe in what should be a tremendous match.

Hosemann: It sure sounds like it.

Troy: Alright folks, we’re ready to kick things off! Let’s send it down to Lee Palmer at ringside!

The fans begin cheering as “Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse hits the speakers and Paul Epton makes his way to the ring! Epton looks about as serious as we’ve ever seen him in a PWA ring as he enters and stretches himself out on the ropes, preparing for combat with his tag team partner. As Epton readies himself, “Charlie Big Potato” by Skunk Anansie blares onto the speakers, and the fans cheer even louder for big John Wolfe, the former Progressive Champion, who makes his way down the aisle to new music!

Troy: Listen to his! John Wolfe is out to his own, personal entrance theme!

Hosemann: I think that was done deliberately to get into the head of Paul Epton,
Troy. Having one theme song symbolized the union of this team, and Epton took a major step in breaking that last week when he so readily complied with Soaring Phoenix’s provisions for giving one of these guys a Progressive title bout next week. They will do battle tonight, will Epton and Wolfe, and they are partners no more, at least not until the end of the night.

Wolfe enters the ring and stands toe-to-toe with Epton, who finds himself looking up at his partner, faced with the unenviable task of taking down a man in Wolfe that has been on a hellacious tear in the ring since early this year. The bell sounds, and Epton and Wolfe are each hesitant to lock up to start things off.

* PAUL EPTON VS. JOHN WOLFE *
Referee: Jason Church

After eyeing each other down for several moments, Wolfe and Epton finally lock up in the center of the ring, and Wolfe gets the better of it, shoving Epton down to the mat hard! The fans cheer the move, and Epton is slow to get back up, doing so with a look of scorn on his face. Epton is a bit more cautious as they lock up again, and this time, he is able to pull Wolfe into a headlock. Epton squeezes it in hard, but Wolfe shoves him off against the ropes, and nails Epton down hard with a spinebuster as he returns! Epton is again slow to his feet, but this time, Wolfe has established momentum, and whips Epton against the ropes and punishes him with a hard sidewalk slam! As the fans cheer, Wolfe is thrown off momentarily by the Progressive Champion Soaring Phoenix making his presence known at the top of the ramp!

Troy: It’s Soaring Phoenix! What the hell is he doing out here?!

Hosemann: He’s scouting out his competition for next week, that’s what!

Wolfe shouts at Phoenix, who simply grins back at him and shrugs his shoulders. This, however, gives Epton time to get to his feet and roll Wolfe up! One, two, and Wolfe just manages to get a shoulder up! Wolfe springs back up, and Epton gets up and nails him with a hard dropkick that staggers Wolfe! Then, Epton charges at Wolfe, but Wolfe catches him, grabbing by the throat! Wolfe then lifts him up and blasts him down with a furious chokeslam! Wolfe covers, staring directly at Phoenix… one, two, three!

Troy: And that does it! John Wolfe will challenge Soaring Phoenix for the Progressive Championship right here next week on Frequency!

Hosemann: And it will be a match that no one should miss!

Wolfe stares down Phoenix as “Charlie Big Potato” blares over the speakers, neither man budging as their first ever one-on-one meeting looms large, one week away.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL: JOHN WOLFE *

As we return, “The Stone Monkey” by Kazu Matsui blasts onto the speakers and the PWA Women’s Champion Keiko Ishida emerges to a surprisingly mostly positive response. Keiko walks down to the ring, grabs a microphone, and steps inside.

Keiko: After last week, the time for talking is over. Magnifica, last week, you attacked me from behind and left me bloody and broken. Last week was last week, but this week, I come for revenge. You and I have an issue that needs to be settled, Magnifica. I suggest you come to the ring right now, or I’m going to come to the back to find you!

Moments later, “Cuz I Can” by Pink blasts onto the speakers and the fans are momentarily confused, until they see Magnifica, decked out in her “pink pimp” attire, looking about as smug and egotistical as one could possibly appear to be. The lyrics of the new song sum up Magnifica well, and the change in tone from her previous theme appears to be reflective of the small changes seen in Magnifica since returning to the PWA some two months ago.

Troy: I don’t care what the song says or doesn’t say, Scott. She’s still a bitch.

Hosemann: Hey, you said it, Troy, not me.

Magnifica grabs a microphone and brazenly steps into the ring, right in front of Keiko Ishida.

Magnifica: You know, Keiko, you really just don’t know how to leave well enough alone, do you? After last week, after you ruined my attempt to end Lauren Tantalus’ career once and for all, which would have benefited us greatly, I was angry, but I had decided not to pursue this feud any further, you know? Cut you a bit of slack. But you, Keiko, are so stubborn that you just can’t let it go, can you? I mean, are you going to force me to beat your ass and take everything you have away from you before you get it through your head that I am not to be messed with?

Keiko: I welcome you to try whatever you wish to try, Magnifica, but you are inferior to me. I am willing to prove this, any time, any place. You must pay for your actions, and I will not rest until I obtain my revenge.

Magnifica: Oh, so revenge is what you want? You won’t rest until you get it, huh? Well then, maybe, just maybe, I CAN help you out with that. I have something you want, namely my ass for you to kick, or better yet, TRY to kick. But Keiko, you have something I want as well. You have the Women’s Championship. So, if you want me in the ring, if you want to try to gain revenge on me in that ring, I do it for nothing less than a Women’s Championship match at Symphony of Destruction.

Keiko: If that’s what it will take to get you in the ring, then that is what I shall grant. I will defend the Women’s Championship against you on June 3 at Symphony of Destruction, and on that night, I will mangle you beyond belief.

Troy: How about this! Keiko vs. Magnifica at Symphony of Destruction!

Hosemann: This should be a war!

Magnifica and Keiko engage in a heated staredown in the ring as the crowd buzzes, when suddenly, “Free” by VAST blasts onto the speakers, and the crowd begins cheering as Lauren Tantalus emerges, a microphone in tow!

Troy: It’s Lauren Tantalus!

Hosemann: What the hell is she doing out here,
Troy?!

Lauren enters the ring and eyes down both Keiko and Magnifica, before focusing on the she-devil.

Lauren:  Magnifica, I don’t know how you’ve managed to pull off getting a shot at the Women’s Championship based on attacking the champion, but I guess my hat’s off to you. But I’m out here to let you know that I’m not done with you, not by a long shot. You and I need to settle our differences in the ring, and that’s something that we’ve needed to do for about three years. Which brings me to you, Keiko. You just gave Magnifica a shot at the Women’s Championship at Symphony of Destruction, and as champion, if you want to accept challenges on the spot like that, I guess that’s your prerogative. But so you know, the challenge to Magnifica for a match at Symphony of Destruction, it was going to be made by me. And quite frankly, I’m not happy.

Keiko: Lauren Tantalus. Finally, we should meet face to face. When I first arrived in the PWA, you were the measuring stick for all other female grapplers. Now, this championship belt says that I am the measuring stick. As for your problem with Magnifica, I sympathize. However, Magnifica is receiving a shot at the Women’s Championship at Symphony of Destruction so that I may tear her to pieces.

Magnifica, Keiko, and Lauren glare at each other suspiciously, but just then, the commissioner Helen Summers appears at the top of the entrance ramp.

Helen: Do I hear a conflict? I think I do! Now, now, it seems we have ourselves a little dilemma here. Three women, one Symphony of Destruction title match, one title. Now, Keiko, what you said is absolutely correct. Magnifica is indeed receiving a shot at the Women’s Championship at Symphony of Destruction. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to work with you two. Now, both of you want a piece of Magnifica, and you should both be entitled to get that chance. Well, at least whoever is champion should. So, right here next week, on our 200th episode, live from Rockefeller Center, Keiko Ishida, you are going to defend the Women’s Championship against Lauren Tantalus, and the winner of that match will be the champion, and will defend the belt four nights later at Symphony of Destruction against Magnifica!

Proud of herself, Summers smiles and exits back behind the curtain, and Magnifica, Keiko, and Lauren all eye each other down in the ring as the fans buzz loudly!

Troy: What an announcement! Magnifica has a guaranteed shot at the Women’s Championship at Symphony of Destruction, but before that comes about, Keiko Ishida will defend the title against Lauren Tantalus right here next week on Frequency!

Hosemann: Unbelievable! These two didn’t get to cross paths before Lauren’s injury, but it was a women’s match that many people wished they could have seen! Now, next week in
Rockefeller Center, on our 200th episode, it’s going to happen!

Troy: I hate this regime, Scott, but I like this match! Folks, stick with us, we’ll be right back!

As we return, we see The Iceman Jason Calysto walking down the hall, loosening up for his match later tonight against Anthony Failla in the semifinals of the Golden Ring tournament. As Calysto gets himself loose, he notices PWA owner Bryan Conroy walking towards him. Calysto’s expression immediately changes to one of sheer contempt as he sees Conroy and his smug expression.

Conroy: Well well, if it isn’t the Iceman himself, Jason Calysto. How are you doing this fine evening?

Calysto: What the hell do you want, Bryan? I’ve got a match to prepare for.

Conroy: That you do, and what a big match it is, huh? I just hope you don’t choke the way that Jaguar choked last week. You know, Jaguar said that he would retire from the PWA after he made his run at the Golden Ring, and I am holding him to that word. I have informed him that he will receive no further bookings from the PWA and put him on permanent suspension. That means, I will pay Jaguar to sit his ass at home and never come back. Why? Because he stood as a potential threat to my plan, and I need to eliminate all who oppose me.

Calysto: You’re a disgusting bastard, you know that
Bryan?

Conroy: Why? Because I seek to make people stick to their otherwise worthless word? Forget it, Calysto, Jaguar is not going to compete in the Symphony of Destruction in 11 days, and he’s certainly not competing at any point thereafter. And speaking of, remember that ultimatum I gave him? About the serious negotiations I am engaged in with wealthy businessmen?

Calysto: How could I forget?

Conroy: Well, I’m not going to elaborate any further on that, but I am going to grant you the same opportunity I gave him. If you want me to cease negotiations, then beat Anthony Failla tonight. However, if you lose, not only will my negotiations intensify, but I will announce the nature of these negotiations to the world next Tuesday night in
Rockefeller Center at our 200th episode.

Calysto chooses not to respond, instead glaring at Conroy and walking off camera. Conroy grins and laughs to himself as the shot cuts away.

We are then taken to another portion of the backstage area, where Scott Cornelius is standing by with Justin Schenck, The Alpha Greg Price, and Kris Anthony.

Cornelius: Justin, you’ve requested this interview time, so what’s up?

Schenck: This is what’s up, Scott. The two men I have standing beside me right here. We have The Alpha Greg Price, and we have The Natural Kris Anthony. These two men, former two-time PWA Tag Team Champions who have not teamed up in over a year, since Kris’ unfortunate injury at the hands of Briggs last May, will team up again, and that partnership will come right here next week on Frequency! That’s right, we are here to make an official announcement that we have chosen the team to represent the Legacy in the Tag Team Championship bout against Paul Dawkins and Renegade next week, and they are Greg Price and Kris Anthony, The Naturals!

Price: Dawkins, Renegade, you two have used a lot of smoke and mirrors tricks to hang onto the belts for so long, but the magic runs out next Tuesday. The titles are coming back to the Legacy.

Anthony: I’ve waited a long, long time to make return here to the PWA, and I do NOT intend for it to get screwed up. You two may be good, but you’re not Naturals, and that is where your weakness lies. On Tuesday, we climb to the top of the mountain for the third time.

Price: … Naturally.

Schenck then laughs excitedly, as the shot cuts to another portion of the backstage area, where the PWA Tag Team Champions Paul Dawkins and Renegade are seen watching this on a monitor with Liz Rush.

Renegade: The Naturals? Big surprise.

Dawkins: They’re a hell of a team, Renegade. I’ve faced off with them in big time title matches before, and they will certainly be a challenge.

Renegade: No big deal for us, right?

Liz: No one ever is.

Dawkins: Of course. We’ve got this.

Renegade and Dawkins nod affirmatively to each other, and we cut to commercial.

Back from break, “Alone” by Buckcherry explodes onto the speakers and Reaper makes his way to the ring alone to a chorus of boos. Reaper grabs a microphone and enters the ring.

Reaper: Last week, Speed Demon issued a challenge, and I am here to address it. Demon, I heard what you said last week, and you are absolutely right. This war between the Army and yourself will NEVER be over. For that purpose, and simply because we’re getting tired of fighting the same battles over and over again, your proposal is intriguing. Demon, we’ve had our ups and downs together over the years, but whether it was teaming up with you, or fighting against you, we’ve set the bar. However, last year, a woman by the name of Dana Chapman came into the picture and screwed all that up. Well, we sure took care of her, didn’t we? As for you and I, I think it’s time we reached our final end. I have authorization from Bishop Cross to do this, and I’m going to do it. Speed Demon, I accept your challenge for a hardcore match where the loser leaves the PWA forever at Symphony of Destruction! And believe me, when this is over, you’ll be asking yourself why you willingly signed your career away. Because…

Suddenly, the lights go out in the arena, and the fans begin cheering wildly! Moments later, the lights go back on, and Speed Demon is standing in the ring! Reaper dares Demon to come forward and take him on, and Demon appears to do exactly that. However, as he approaches, the lights go out again! Then, second later, the lights go back on, and Demon is no longer in the ring. However, a burning effigy of Reaper is clearly visible on the outside of the ring! Reaper is shocked and horrified to see this, and quickly flees the ring as workers run out from the back to extinguish the fire!

Troy: Speed Demon is getting inside the head of Reaper!

Hosemann: And in a big time way! This is going to be an explosive match at Symphony of Destruction! Reaper and Speed Demon, career vs. career, with hardcore rules! Unbelievable!
