1ST MARINER ARENA

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND

SEGMENT 8:  BACKSTAGE:

Back from commercial, we find Vulture and Jackie Baccaro in Commissioner Kerry Cox’s office, screaming in anger.  Lauren Tantalus is behind them, smirking.

Cox:  Why don’t you calm down and speak one at a time?

Vulture:  Where is the security, Cox?!  Jackie here shouldn’t have to be worrying about a crazed lunatic running out there and interfering in his matches when he goes out to wrestle.  GI Jew had no business out there.  Jackie defeated him at Salvation, and that’s the end of the story.

Baccaro:  Vulture’s right.  My issue with GI Jew is settled.  I have no business with him out there.  He needs to just accept the fact that I’m the better man and move on.

Cox:  Oh really?

Vulture & Baccaro together:  Yes, really.

Cox:  You know something, that’s not how I saw it.  The way I saw it, the reason why Jackie Baccaro prevailed over GI Jew at Salvation was a simple numbers game.  It was Baccaro, with Vulture, over GI Jew.  I don’t think that would happen if the numbers were even.

Vulture:  What are you trying to say, Cox?

Cox:  What I’m trying to say is that next week, right here on Frequency, we’re going to have a Salvation rematch.  It’s going to be Jackie Baccaro, with Vulture in his corner, against GI Jew… with Paul Dawkins in his corner!

Vulture:  You can’t do that!

Cox:  Oh but I just did!

Vulture:  You’re not going to get away with this injustice!

Cox:  Have a good day, gentlemen!

Cox then slams the door shut, leaving Vulture and Baccaro furious at the announcement, storming down the hall.  Lauren Tantalus noticeably lingers behind, smiling ear to ear as she follows, pleased that the two may get what’s coming to them next week.

SEGMENT 9:  BACKSTAGE:
The camera shifts to the Legacy’s locker room, where nervous chatter is taking place between Superstar Scott Hosemann, Greg Price, and Kris Anthony.  Darrin Giles is stoic next to them, showing no emotion, while Justin Schenck has his head buried in his hands, before raising it up and speaking.

Schenck:  Gentlemen!  Do you realize what is happening here?  Briggs is trying to bring us down from within, and dare I say, it may be working.  He has us looking over our shoulders constantly, and he is keeping us from focusing on more important matters, like trying to regain the Progressive and Tag Team Championships.  We need to come up with a plan to take this man down, and it’s not going to be easy.  I’m thinking some kind of attack might be best, a sneak attack, but…

Giles:  Justin, that’s not going to work.

Schenck:  Why not?

Giles:  Because we never know where this guy is going to be.  We need to bring him to us.  Someone needs to go out there and lay down a challenge to him.

Schenck:  And who will that be?  Surely there isn’t one man here who is willing to lay his neck on the line and challenge Briggs to a fight!

Giles:  (without hesitation) I’ll do it.

Schenck:  Are you crazy?!  What are you going to do?!

Giles:  I’m going to go to the ring right now and challenge him to a one-on-one match at Requiem.  We can’t take this guy out if we can’t find him.  I’ll take him on, and I’ll beat him.

Schenck:  Are you sure about this?

Giles:  Watch me.

Giles then exits the room and starts toward the ring as we take a break.

SEGMENT 10:  BACKSTAGE:
Back from commercial, we are taken backstage, where newcomers Paul Epton and John Wolfe are seen getting ready for their upcoming shot at the Tag Team Championship later tonight.

Wolfe:  You ready?

Epton:  Absolutely.  I was born ready.  This is what we’ve been waiting for our whole bloody lives, John.  We’re not going to blow this.

Wolfe:  I agree.  We are here in the PWA for a reason, and it’s not to be losers.  We have our opportunity tonight, much quicker than we expected it, but we will take advantage of it, and leave here the new Tag Team Champions.

The two turn around when they hear snickering from the background.  When they turn around, they find themselves greeted by the contingent of Jon Dulberg, Vladimir Vydrina, Natasha Vydrina, and Rodney King.  Not That Rodney King.

Epton:  May we help you with something?

Dulberg:  You can help us by telling us why exactly you two “chaps” deserve a shot at the Tag Team Championship in only your second match around here.

Wolfe:  How about we pinned the champions two weeks ago instead of losing the International title on pay-per-view.

Dulberg:  At least I can get on pay-per-view.

Epton:  Listen, Dulberg, as much as we’d love to chat with you right now, it isn’t the time.  We have a match to prepare for and we’d appreciate…

Dulberg:  Well we’d appreciate you two getting the hell out of our country and going back to where you came from.  Isn’t it tea time anyway?

Epton:  No, but it’ll be time to kick your ass if you don’t get out of here.

Dulberg steps forward, staring Epton down, as Vydrina steps forward, staring down Wolfe.  Neither team flinches, until Dulberg cracks a smile.

Dulberg:  C’mon Vlad, they’re not worth it.  Remember boys, we could have had you.  We could have had you.

Dulberg and crew then exit as Epton and Wolfe continue their preparation.

SEGMENT 11:  RINGSIDE:
Back at the ring, “Control” by Earshot hits and Darrin Giles makes his way to the ring, alone.  Without giving much thought to the gravity of what he’s doing, Giles grabs a microphone and heads into the ring.

Giles:  I’m out here for one reason, and that’s to give The Legacy a reason to stop looking over their shoulders all the time.  The reason behind all this is you, Briggs.  You couldn’t handle the fact that we didn’t want you around in the group anymore, that we didn’t need you, so you’ve decided to declare war on the entire group.  Well, that’s fine with me.  Just know that you’re in for a fight if that’s your course of action.  And the fight starts right here.  Briggs, I’m calling you out.  You want to take on The Legacy?  Well, it starts with me.  I want you, one-on-one, at Requiem.  April 9 in Pittsburgh, son, I’m taking you out.  The only question is, are you man enough to accept my challenge?  Well are you?

Suddenly, “Trust” by Sevendust blasts onto the speakers and the fans cheer loudly as Briggs begins stalking his way to the ring.  Giles doesn’t flinch as Briggs steps over the top rope and into the ring.

Giles:  So what’s it gonna be?  Do you accept?

Briggs doesn’t answer.

Giles:  I’m talking to you, punk!  Answer me!

When Briggs still doesn’t respond, Giles slaps him across the face!  However, this proves to be a costly mistake, as Briggs boots him in the stomach and destroys him with a vicious powerbomb!

Troy:  I guess that’s a yes!

The fans cheer wildly as “Trust” replays and Briggs exits the ring, leaving Giles unconscious inside it as we take another break.

SEGMENT 12:  MATCH 4:  PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS:  THE LOST SOULS © VS. PAUL EPTON & JOHN WOLFE:
 Referee:  Matt Hansen

Back at ringside, we are ready to go with our Tag Team Championship match.  “Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse hits the speakers and the fans begin cheering loudly as the two British underdogs, Paul Epton and John Wolfe, begin making their way to the ring.  Epton and Wolfe look determined, and ready to take advantage of the biggest opportunity of their lives.

Troy:  Look at the focus on the faces of these two, Paul.  They realize the magnitude of this opportunity right here, and they realize the vote of confidence that the PWA brass has bestowed upon them by giving him this championship match.  But Paul, the question is, can they do it?

Ferrara:  Well Troy, they defeated the Lost Souls two weeks ago in Las Vegas, and have since had two weeks to prepare for another go-round with them.  However, on the flip side, the Lost Souls are three-time PWA Tag Team Champions who were caught off guard two weeks ago.  They have also had two weeks, to get film on these guys from the UK, and to really learn about them.  They made the mistake of taking them too lightly in Vegas, and I don’t think they’ll do that again tonight.  Epton and Wolfe are going to have a real battle on their hands.

Moments later, “A Violent Reaction” by American Head Charge hits and the crowd showers Tag Team Champions The Lost Souls with a chorus of boos as they make their way down to the ring.  Speed Demon and Reaper are all business tonight, and that much is evident as they strip themselves of their belts along the ramp way and head into the ring, immediately taking the fight to the challengers, prompting the bell to sound.

Troy:  Here we go, Tag Team Championship!

The Lost Souls get the immediate advantage in the match, with Reaper knocking the big Wolfe out of the ring with a series of rights, and Demon working over the cruiser Epton as things settle down and the match begins.  Demon violently whips Epton into the Souls’ corner, and begins working over him with stiff rights and lefts to the midsection.  With Epton dazed, Demon tags Reaper into the match, who takes a few steps back and blasts Epton with a huge splash.  Epton crumbles to the mat, and Reaper pounds away on him in the corner with his boot.  Reaper then lifts Epton off the mat and nails him with a big backbreaker, crushing his spine.  Keeping him cornered with a few sharp elbows to the jaw, Reaper tags Demon back into the match, and the two double-team Epton furiously, destroying him with an array of kicks and punches, before referee Matt Hansen forces Reaper to exit the ring.

Troy:  This match has been all Lost Souls thus far.

Ferrara:  I can’t say I’m surprised, Troy.  The Lost Souls have something to prove here tonight, and they’ve certainly come out exhibiting that thus far tonight.

With Epton staggering, Demon lets him out of the corner, only to grab his head and drive him hard down into the mat.  Demon then stomps away on him furiously, easing up a bit as the boos thicken, realizing that Epton is barely moving.  Demon chuckles to himself and tags Reaper back into the match, telling him to finish him off.  Reaper gets into the ring and begins mockingly slapping Epton in the head, daring him to get to his feet.  When Epton finally does get to his feet, Reaper tattoos him with a sickening clothesline that turns the young Briton inside out.  The fans boo, but boo even louder when Reaper signals for the Passed Judgment piledriver.  Reaper scoops Epton up for the move… but Epton slips out, lunges across the ring, and tags in his partner Wolfe!

Troy:  He did it!  He made the tag!  The big guy is in!

Ferrara:  The challengers may have life yet!

The fans cheer wildly as John Wolfe heads into the ring and begins destroying Reaper with hard right hands!  Speed Demon heads into the ring and charges at him, but Wolfe turns it into a sickening tilt-a-whirl slam that downs Demon, prompting him to roll out of the ring!  Reaper then gets up, but Wolfe grabs him, and powerbombs Reaper head-first into the top turnbuckle!  Reaper is nearly unconscious, slowly staggering to his feet, but when he does, Wolfe grabs him and blasts him with a huge chokeslam!  Wolfe then tags Epton into the match, who climbs up to the top rope and nails Reaper with an awe-inspiring shooting star press!  Epton hooks the leg as the fans jump to their feet!  One… Speed Demon hops onto the apron and slides back into the ring… Two… Wolfe nails him with a boot to the jaw that knocks him back through the ropes… Three!

Troy:  Yes!  Yes!  I don’t believe it!  We have NEW Tag Team Champions!  The kids from the UK have done it!  What a moment!

Ferrara:  Do you believe in miracles?!  Unbelievable!

The 1st Mariner Arena comes unglued as “Stockholm Syndrome” blasts onto the speakers and the newcomers Paul Epton and John Wolfe are announced the new PWA Tag Team Champions.  The English duo celebrates their victory amongst the cheering Baltimore faithful as the Lost Souls look on in disbelief as we take our final commercial break.
WINNERS AT 9:25 AND NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS:  PAUL EPTON & JOHN WOLFE

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK #8 --

  SEGMENT 13:  RINGSIDE:
We return to the ring, where Commissioner Kerry Cox is waiting at a table that has two chairs positioned next to it. Cox holds a clipboard and a microphone as the crowd noise comes down.

Cox: Thank you. Before we get started with the contract signing for The PWA Championship match at Requiem, I have to introduce another championship match for April 9th. After that stunning upset we have just witnessed, I ran into The Lost Souls on my way out here, and they immediately exercised their title rematch clause for Requiem. So we are going to see Paul Epton and John Wolfe defend their newly-won PWA Tag Team Titles against The Lost Souls!

Troy: That's a big one there. I think the new champs have their number!

Ferrara: Two cheap upsets don't make them the best tag team in the world just yet. I think they got lucky and The Lost Souls will show them who is really the boss next weekend.

Cox: And now onto Requiem. Last year’s Requiem event was right here in Baltimore and it was an overwhelming success. I competed for the victorious Team PWA against TFU in a 16-man steel cage tag match that was truly memorable for us all. But what I'd like to do right now is introduce one of my partners that night, and the man who will go onto wrestle for The World Heavyweight Championship at Requiem. Give it up for Scythe!

"With You" by
Linkin Park begins, bringing a deafening ovation from the crowd as Scythe makes his way through the smoky entrance. He sports his black ring pants along with his new Scythe T-Shirt as he slaps hands with several fans on his way to the ring. He climbs inside the squared circle and shakes hands with Cox before taking one of the seats in the ring.

Cox: And now his opponent. This man lost the PWA International Championship at Requiem in an incredible ladder match right here in this building, but now he stands atop the wrestling world as The PWA World Heavyweight Champion. I give you...Romeo.

The D-Bombs drop from the ceiling as "I Want It" by B.G. begins. As the smoke clears, the boos rush in for Romeo as he makes his entrance. The champion comes to the ring in a pair of black jeans and his brand new Playboi T-Shirt, complete with the biggest prize in the business draped over his right shoulder. Romeo climbs into the ring and also shakes hands with Cox before placing his gold on the table, right in front of Scythe as he takes a seat.

Cox: Okay fellas. You have both seen this contract and you know what it entails. You two, one-on-one, for the title at Requiem. Romeo, here you go.

The champion grabs the pen from atop the clipboard and wastes no time in signing the last sheet of paper. Romeo then hands the clipboard and pen back to Cox.

Cox: Alright Scythe, your turn.

Romeo: Wait a minute. I want you to think for a minute here Scythe. By signing that contract, I hope you realize what you're getting yourself into. You're signing up for the same type of treatment that your boy Jaguar got and that Camieko got. Both of them are sitting at home right now, thanks to me. And if you sign that piece of paper, you'll be doing the same in about two weeks' time.

Scythe: You talk such a big game Romeo. You talk about how you had four women beat down Camieko to put her on the shelf, and you brag about how to jumped Jaguar after he was already hurt and put him out of action. But you know what Romeo? That won't happen to me. You won't put me on the shelf and you won't find a way to take advantage of me like you did to them. You're dealing with the longest-reigning PWA Champion in history and a man that you haven't beaten. As a matter of fact, you haven't beaten anyone since winning that title, and next weekend, I'm gonna bring you down.

Romeo: Is that so? Well go ahead and sign it then.

Scythe looks down to sign the contract, but Romeo turns the table upwards, knocking him in the face! Romeo takes control by stomping Scythe down to the mat and lifting him up for an Irish whip. Scythe ducks under a clothesline and stops abruptly to lace Romeo with several lightning-fast punches and chops before delivering a double-hand chop that sends him reeling backwards through the ropes and down to the arena floor! Scythe then picks up the clipboard and grabs the pen to sign his name on the dotted line to a huge ovation from the crowd!

Troy: And it’s official! Scythe and Romeo are gonna get it on at Requiem!

Ferrara: Da Playboi doesn't look too happy Troy!

Troy: He'll have his chance to do something about it at Requiem. We're outta time everybody, see you next week!

Scythe and Romeo stare one another down hard as "With You" plays for Frequency's extremely tense ending.
