Bio: Arguably no superstar in the history of the PWA has had a more unique rise to prominence than Showtime Damon Savage. Showtime entered the PWA in 2003 directly from the world of professional boxing. A Golden Gloves boxing champion who had dabbled in professional fighting before making the switch to wrestling, Savage hooked up with promoter (Not That) Rodney King and tried to bring boxing into wrestling. In fact, Showtime's first featured bout as a PWA competitor was a boxing exhibition against Evander Holyfield, which Showtime lost via decision. That fight, in addition to their rematch six months later, put Savage on the map and helped turn him into one of the fans' absolute favorites, a distinction he would never relinquish. With the boxing phase of his career behind him, Showtime went on to capture the International Championship three times. By the time Showtime rejoined the PWA for the first season of The Rebirth, it was clear he was ready for the big time. Savage was on the cusp of an ultimate breakthrough, nearly capturing the PWA World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match against Anthony Failla and Dan Crowley that main evented Everlasting Epic VI. After getting close enough to taste the top prize the company has to offer, Showtime finally captured the gold in season two, defeating Crowley in a classic battle at Symphony of Destruction. However, as soon as the season returned from its midseason break, SIN and Vulture conspired to screw him out of the title. Revenge on his mind, Showtime joined Justin Schenck’s gauntlet team to battle SIN at Everlasting Epic VII, but found himself staring at the lights courtesy of a Greg Tantalus brass knuckles shot. Having had nine months to think about that, what kind of mood will Showtime Damon Savage be in when he returns for season three?
