HOUSE SHOWS
December 2002

Sun. Dec. 1, 2002 – MCI Center – Washington, D.C.

SEGMENT 1:  MATCH 1:  PWA PROGRESSIVE CHAMPIONSHIP:  ANTHONY ANNETTA © VS. THE BLIZZARD:

This week's house show begins with Dream Theater's "The Mirror” hitting and PWA Progressive Champion Anthony Annetta emerging to a rousing reaction rom the crowd. After Annetta steps into the ring, "Cowboys From Hell" begins and The Blizzard steps out to a slight, albeit still negative reaction which he ignores as he slides into the ring.

The bell sounds and Annetta wastes no time in his attack, punching The Blizzard with both hands and knocking him down with a left. Blizzard gets back up and swings wildly at Annetta, but the champion ducks and grabs Blizzard in a painful bearhug before violently slamming him down to the canvas!

Annetta lifts a dizzy Blizzard off the mat and sits the challenger easily on the top turnbuckle. Annetta ascends perhaps for a superplex, but Blizzard knocks him down with a hard right hand. Annetta gets back up and Blizzard attempts a hurricanrana, but Annetta catches him in the seated position and sits out, powerbombing the challenger hard to the canvas!

Annetta now looks out to the crowd, who applauds his dominance in return. Annetta slides outside the ring to grab a table. Annetta sets the table up in the ring before prying a lifeless Blizzard off the canvas. Looking to finish the match with his spinebuster, Annetta whips The Blizzard to the ropes. But on his return the fast challenger slides underneath Annetta and continues his momentum to slide underneath the table as well. Before Annetta can react, Blizzard shoves the table forward, hitting the champion right in the groin!

As Annetta winces in pain, Blizzard sets up the table near the turnbuckles. Blizzard pulls Annetta up from the mat and places the big man on the top turnbuckle. After signaling to the crowd, Blizzard climbs up, but Annetta nails a low blow of his own! Before The Blizzard even has a chance to fall, Annetta uses his power to lift him up and spinebuster him through the table! Annetta retains the title!
WINNER VIA PINFALL AND STILL PWA PROGRESSIVE CHAMPION:  ANTHONY ANNETTA

SEGMENT 2:  MATCH 2:  PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP:  SCYTHE © VS. REAPER:

The crowd bursts into cheers of joy once they hear Linkin Park's reanimated "With You" blare over the loudspeakers. Scythe immediately steps through the curtain and gains even more approval from his fans in attendence. The International Champion hands his title belt to referee Tom Stevens and tugs on the ropes to warm up. While he does this, a hush comes over the crowd as Metallica's "Harvester of Sorrow" takes over and the ominous Reaper enters the Phone Booth. The Lost Souls member quickly slides into the ring and pounces on Scythe as the rushed bell rings.

Reaper pounds Scythe down to the ground and keeps him there with a series of kicks and stomps to the torso. Scythe backs into a corner, but Reaper keeps him grounded by continuing his stomp attack there. Stevens finally interjects and calls for a break, but Reaper simply tosses the official aside and charges at Scythe. The champion sees Reaper coming and ducks out of the way, wiht Reaper's shoulder connecting with the ring post in the process!

Reaper staggers backwards, right into a back suplex from Scythe! Scythe bridges into a cover, one...two..Reaper kicks out! Both men get back to a vertical base, and Scythe whips Reaper into another corner. The referee counts to five, but not before Scythe takes target practice on Reaper's face with several sharp kicks. Reaper stumbles out of the corner, only to be leveled by a savate kick from the champion! Scythe covers, 1----2----the challenger kicks out again!

Scythe lifts Reaper up by the hair, and the Lost Soul surprises the titlist by stinging him with a hard left hand. Scythe responds with a right hand, and the two combatants eventually begin to trade punches. Reaper gets the upper hand by slipping in a thmub to the eye. Reaper whips Scythe towards the corner, but Scythe reverses and Reaper hits hard into the turnbuckles. Scythe charges, but Reaper quickly sidesteps him and cradles him, with his feet on the ropes! One....two...thr Scythe kicks out!

Reaper pounds the mat in frustration, as do many of Scythe's opponents. Stevens tells the challenger that he only got a two count before Reaper rushes toward Scythe. Scythe ducks a clothesline, spins Reaper around, and blasts him with a thunderous chokeslam! Scythe pulls a battered Reaper towards the corner and ascends to the top rope, where he connects with the Diving Blade! 1----2----3!!! Scythe retains the title!

Just as Stevens hands the belt back to Scythe, the champion's theme song halts as he is attacked from behind by Speed Demon! Demon, who is Scythe's opponent this Tuesday night on Frequency, delivers a boot to the gut of the champion before crushing him with the Demonizer! Speed Demon then joins his tag team partner as they leave a beaten Scythe in the ring amidst a plethora of jeers.

WINNER VIA PINFALL AND STILL PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION:  SCYTHE

SEGMENT 3:  MATCH 3:  CHAD HASTY VS. THE 7-ANY POWER:

Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" begins to blare over the loudspeakers, and the crowd immediately boos once Don Cerrone steps through the black curtain. With his new book in hand, "The Standard Sleaze" points to that curtain as Chad Hasty strolls out arm-in-arm with Dee Licious. The trio make their way to the ring amidst a massive chorus of boos and "El Distorto de Melodica" by Everclear begins. The crowd gives a mixed reaction to the 7-Any Power but its comprised mostly with cheers. The focused mystery man climbs into the ring and the bell sounds.

7-Any Power begins the match with a quick single leg takedown of Hasty. Power rolls into a headlock, and Hasty quickly grabs onto the top rope, breaking the hold. A startled Chad Hasty listens to a few words from Cerrone at ringside before locking up with Power. Hasty forces 7-Any Power back into a corner and lays into him with hard chops as the referee calls for a break.

7-Any Power takes offense to this and grabs Hasty by the neck before forcing him into the corner and nailing the same chops to his opponent! Hasty stumbles out holding his chest, and Power floors him with a clothesline! Power covers, 1...2...Hasty kicks out!

Power whips Hasty to the ropes and Hasty ducks a clothesline, but he cannot avoid a big powerslam from 7-Any Power! Power covers, one...two...Hasty gets a shoulder up! 7-Any Power gets back up and signals for the Overpower Bomb! Power gets Hasty into position and plants him with the finisher!

Power keeps Hasty down on the mat, but there is no referee to count the pinfall as Dee Licious has distracted the official on the ring apron! Before Power can attend to the matter, he is clobbered in the head by Cerrone's book! Cerrone places a limp Hasty on top of 7-Any Power as
Dee leaves the ring apron. The referee makes a count, one....two...three! Chad Hasty has stolen it!
WINNER VIA PINFALL:  CHAD HASTY

SEGMENT 4:  MATCH 4:  DOUBLE DS AND GREG TANTALUS VS. THE HOT BOY$ AND DJ INFERNUS:

As ring announcer Lee Palmer grabs his microphone, the beginnings of "Now You're A Man" play over the PA system. After a few seconds, the brand new PWA Tag Team Champions, the Double Ds, emerge to a bigger array of boos than usual as they wear their belts proudly around their waists. Just as they near the ring, "Hey You" from Simon Says takes over and nearly all of Washington, D.C. wishes death upon Greg Tantalus as he cockily strolls to the ring. Tantalus seems to be in a better mood than he was last Tuesday night, where he showed the entire world just how deplorable he can be by abusing his girlfriend Michelle. The trio pound fists as they look towards the curtain for their opposition. They do not have to wait long as "We On Fire" begins. The pyro nearly blows the roof off the Phone Booth just before DJ Infernus sprints to the ring with the Hot Boy$!

Camieko accompanies her charges to ringside as all six men engage in a full-scale war, Romeo battling with DareDevyl, Diabetes Dude taking it to Infernus, and an early rivalry rekindled as Jaguar trades fists with Tantalus. The babyfaces eventually win out as the heels retreat to the floor to regroup. The crafty Diabetes Dude steps in to start the match and the crowd roars as the powerful Romeo does the same for his team.

Romeo and Dude lock up, and Romeo easily tosses Diabetes Dude back into a corner. Romeo follows him in, but Dude avoids a splash before tagging in DareDevyl. The tag champion runs into the ring and immediately downs Romeo with a clothesline. Romeo gets back to his feet, but DareDevyl sends him right back down with a scoop slam and locks him in a rear chinlock. The fans begin to stomp their feet loudly as Romeo powers out and counters with a belly-to-back suplex! DareDevyl begins to head toward his corner as Romeo crawls towards his. DareDevyl makes the tag first, bringing in Tantalus. But the crowd noise is absolutely deafening once Romeo makes the tag to Jaguar!

Jaguar and Tantalus begin right where they left off, peppering one another with hard rights and lefts. Jaguar backs Tantalus to the ropes and whips him off. Tantalus returns to find a high back body drop! Diabetes Dude rushes in and Jaguar sidesteps him before launching him over the top rope! Looking to end Tantalus' night early, Jaguar hollers to the crowd as he signals for the Carrjack! Jaguar lifts Tantalus, but DareDevyl breaks things up by clubbing Jaguar in the back!

Tantalus then takes over on Jaguar by nailing him in the back with vicious stomps. One backbreaker later, Tantalus decides to show off his technical prowess by locking Jaguar in a painful abdominal stretch. Jaguar grimaces in pain as the referee asks him if he wants to continue. Jaguar fights through the pain, but Tantalus furthers the damage by grabbing a hold on the top rope! The referee spots this and forces Tantalus to break his grip. Once the grip is broken, Jaguar capitalizes with a hiptoss before darting to his corner and tagging Infernus!

Infernus gets into the ring and tags the veteran Tantalus with hard rights to the face before whipping him to the ropes and flooring him with a dropkick! Infernus has Tantalus reeling at this point and scoop slams him to the canvas. After climbing to the top rope, Infernus connects with a huge corkscrew body press! Infernus covers, 1----2----Diabetes Dude yanks him off!

Dude's interference causes a big melee that sees the Hot Boy$ battle the Double Ds outside of the ring with the referee trying to break it up. DJ Infernus tries to get the referee's attention as Camieko scales the top rope, looking to hit a still prone Tantalus with the St. Kinard Splash! Infernus goes back to Tantalus, who shoves him to the ropes and knocks Camieko from her perch onto the floor! Tantalus quickly gets back to his feet, boots Infernus in the gut, and flattens him with the Big O! Tantalus hooks the far leg as the referee slides back into the ring. One...two...three! Tantalus and the Doubles Ds win it!

SEGMENT 1:  MATCH 1:  CHAD HASTY VS. RENEGADE:

This week's house show kicks off with the sounds of Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" and a chorus of boos for Chad Hasty, alongside Dee Licious and Don Cerrone. The "Standard Sleaze" holds the ropes open for Dee and Hasty follows, raising his arms in jubilation as his theme cuts off. After a few seconds, Nelly's "Pimp Juice" takes over and the crowd gives it up for Renegade, who enters without his tag team partner, Chocolate Wonder. Renegade hams it up with a few ladies in the crowd before stretching out and climbing into the ring.

The bell sounds and the action is now underway. Renegade immediately takes a fighting stance and Hasty cockily does the same. Hasty takes a swipe at Renegade, but its swiftly ducked before Renegade unleashes a barrage of punches and kicks that only end when Hasty stumbles through the ropes and onto the arena floor!

Hasty slams the ring apron in frustration before sliding back into the ring. Hasty charges right towards Renegade, but the martial artist easily executes a drop toehold before floating over into a front facelock. Hasty takes a bit of time, but he eventually gets to his feet before breaking the hold with a stunning release northern lights suplex!

Hasty takes too much time to attempt a cover, as Cerrone tells him such from ringside. Instead, Hasty lifts Renegade from the mat and delivers a spine-tingling brainbuster! Hasty then rolls over into a cover, 1-----2-----Renegade gets a shoulder up!

Cerrone yells more words of "wisdom" to Hasty as Renegade is whipped to the ropes. Renegade ducks a clothesline before bouncing off the other side and hitting an incredible spinning heel kick! Hasty gets up, but Renegade sends him back down with a powerful sidewalk slam! With the crowd sensing the match is well in hand, Renegade feels the same as he signals for the Kick of Death! Hasty slowly rises, and Renegade measures him up before connecting with the finisher!

Renegade covers an unconscious Hasty, but not before
Dee grabs the officials' attention! Renegade gets off of Hasty and Cerrone is waiting for him, smashing him in the back of the head with his new book, "Don Cerrone's Standards of Sleaze"! Cerrone plants the still motionless Hasty on top of Renegade as Dee gets down from the apron. The official makes a count, 1-----2-----3! Hasty steals another one!
WINNER VIA PINFALL:  CHAD HASTY

SEGMENT 2:  MATCH 2:  PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:  THE DOUBLE DS © VS. ANTHONY DESIO AND STEVE BEOVICH VS. JON DULBERG AND RYAN KNAKAL:

Ring announcer Lee Palmer draws cheers from the crowd as he announces the only title match of the evening. Shortly thereafter, "Now You're A Man" begins and the champions, The Double Ds, make their way to the ring hearing boos the entire way. As they hand` their belts to the official, the jeers continue for the new pair of Anthony "BK" Desio and Steve Beovich as they enter to P.O.D.'s "Alive". As the two teams prepare, Pantera's "Walk" takes over, sparking a big pop for cousins Ryan Knakal and Jon Dulberg.

The bell sounds and four men exit the ring, leaving Dulberg to start things off with Beovich while the champions rest in their corner as a team. The former buddies lock up, with Beovich executing a side headlock. Dulberg quickly forces Beovich to the ropes and pushes him to the other side. Beovich bounces off and goes down hard after a Dulberg shoulder block. Dulberg runs to the ropes and Beovich responds with a leapfrog before spiking Dulberg down with a flapjack!

Beovich tags out to Desio, who tenaciously takes the attack back to Dulberg with vicious stomps. Dulberg is reeling, and Desio stays on him with a rear chinlock. With the support of the crowd, Dulberg struggles back to his feet and breaks the hold with a sharp elbow to the gut. Dulberg bounces off the ropes as DareDevyl makes a blind tag. Dulberg slides underneath Desio as DareDevyl plants a huge kick right in the face of the "BK"! DareDevyl covers, one...two....he's yanked off by the exiting Dulberg!

DareDevyl stays with his attack, punishing Desio with power moves. Desio finds time to sneak in a thumb to the eye before lunging to tag in Ryan Knakal! The two power men then proceed to trade fists with Knakal winning out. DareDevyl staggers to his corner, allowing Diabetes Dude to make another blind tag.

Knakal delivers a big avalanche to DareDevyl in the corner before turning around and catching a running Beovich with a Boss Bomb! Desio charges in, but he is tackled to the ground by Dulberg! DareDevyl and Beovich roll out of the ring to safety as Knakal goes to help out the assault on Desio. But before he can take another step, Knakal is rolled up by Diabetes Dude, the other legal man! Dude plants his feet on the ropes as the referee counts, one...two...three! The Double Ds retain!

WINNER VIA PINFALL AND STILL PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION:  SCYTHE

SEGMENT 3:  MATCH 3:  LOKI VS. SPEED DEMON:

The arena turns pitch black as "A Violent Reaction" by American Head Charge brings out Speed Demon and Reaper. Even though the Lost Souls enter in tandem, only Speed Demon climbs into the squared circle as he will be the only man in action tonight. As Demon warms up, a huge reaction meets Loki and Gabriel as the Archangels enter to "Testify". Loki immediately slides into the ring and Demon jumps right on him before the bell!

Loki breaks free and gets up to his feet, but Demon whips him to the ropes and begins to take control by landing a brilliant dropkick! Loki gets back to his feet, but Demon sends him back down with a scoop slam before dropping a stiff elbow on his chest. Demon covers, one...two...Loki kicks out!

Loki is still searching to get into a rhythm in this match as Demon once again whips him to the ropes. Loki ducks a clothesline, but gets caught in a tight sleeperhold on his way back! The official lifts and drops Loki's arm two times, but it doesn't drop for a third as Loki surprises Demon with a back suplex!

The tension rises in the crowd as both men get back up and engage in a slugfest. Loki blocks a Demon right, and hits a fast rolling elbow before taking him down with a belly-to-belly suplex. Reaper decides to interject at this point by climbing on the ring apron. By the time Loki knocks him off, a recovered Demon quickly hits a Shadow of the Nite off the top rope! Demon grabs the far leg for a cover, 1----2----Loki kicks out again!

The men trade more fists as Gabriel and Reaper engage in a brawl on the outside. Demon gets the upper hand of the fisticuffs and downs Loki with a hard right hand. Demon then gets to the top rope for another high-risk move as Loki stumbles to his feet. Demon leaps off--right into the Atheist superkick from Loki! Loki collapses on top of Demon and pulls a bit on his tights! One....two....three! Loki wins it!
WINNER VIA PINFALL:  LOKI

SEGMENT 4:  MATCH 4:  TRINITY, JAMES BIAMONTE, BODYCOUNT, GREG TANTALUS, AND GI JEW VS. SCYTHE, SCOTT HOSEMANN, THE HOT BOY$, AND MIKE GRIFFIN:

Ring announcer Lee Palmer stands in the ring to announce the participants for tonight's main event and his words are halted by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre's "Natural Born Killers". The negative reaction that follows can only signal the arrival of PWA's most menacing trio, Trinity, James Biamonte, and Bodycount. As they near the ring, the heat only grows louder for GI Jew, who arrives alone to Metallica's "Don't Tread On Me". Jew waits by the curtain as Simon Says' "Hey You" takes over. After a few seconds, the loudest set of boos perhaps ever heard in the PWA meets Greg Tantalus as he walks side by side with GI Jew!

As the fearsome five warm up in the ring,
Linkin Park's reanimated version of "With You" combines with a huge roar from the crowd for the appearance of the International Champion, Scythe! Scythe sees what lies ahead of him and doesn't take another step before Eminem's "Till I Collapse" brings out "Superstar" Scott Hosemann. Scythe and Hosemann pound fists before "We On Fire" sets off a blast of pyrotechnics. As the fans go even crazier than before, Jaguar and Romeo enter with their Hot Girl, Camieko, to a deafening pop! The four faces talk over the music, and suddenly charge towards the ring! The other five men prepare for combat, but none see "The Impulse" Mike Griffin attack Tantalus from behind! Before Greg's partners can react, the other four slide into the ring commencing a huge brawl!

The bell sounds as
Griffin tosses Tantalus over the barricade into the crowd! Inside the ring, Scythe and Biamonte engage in a breathtaking technical display that sees Scythe win out with a snap suplex. Scythe tosses Biamonte into his corner, where he tags in Hosemann. Hosemann steps in and proceeds to stomp Biamonte all the way to the ground in the corner before whipping him to the ropes and blasting him with a sharp clothesline!

Biamonte gets back to his feet, and swiftly takes down Hosemann with a leg sweep. This gives Biamonte enough time to make a tag to Trinity, who steps in to toss Hosemann around before planting him with a piledriver. Trinity covers without hooking the leg, 1----2---Hosemann kicks out! Trinity then notices the outstretched arm of GI Jew, and he tags it causing an uproar of jeers. Jew steps in and the crowd then changes its emotions, but only because
Griffin has tossed Tantalus into the boards used by the Carolina Hurricanes!

Jew takes the offense right to Hosemann, nailing him with a hard right forearm that floors him. Jew then looks for a big move by planting Hosemann on the top turnbuckle. Jew climbs up for a superplex, but wastes a little time by jawing at Scythe. Hosemann uses the opportunity to shove Jew from the top, and smash him with an elbow drop on the way down. Both men crawl towards their corners, and Jew wins the race by tagging in the awesome Bodycount. As the crowd thirsts for the Hot Boy$, Hosemann slaps the hand of Romeo who bursts in to tackle Bodycount to the ground!

Bodycount immediately forces Romeo up, and plants a boot right in the face of the charging Hot Boy, quieting the crowd! Bodycount then delivers a chilling spinebuster before locking in a low sleeperhold. Boos take over as Tantalus takes the advantage on the outside by suplexing
Griffin on the concrete! Just as Romeo appears to be falling out of consciousness, Jaguar throws caution to the wind by stepping in and breaking it up with a kick to the spine! Bodycount tags Biamonte back in as Romeo does the same to Jaguar!

Jaguar begins to tear into Biamonte by dowing him with three consecutive rights and a high back body drop! Jaguar whips Biamonte to the ropes and crushes him with a huge powerslam! Jaguar hooks the leg, 1----2---Bodycount now breaks up the count! Jaguar tags in Romeo, and both Hot Boy$ start to swing on Bodycount! The ring fills up with bodies as Jew tosses Scythe over the top rope and Jaguar clotheslines Trinity over. As Bodycount continues to brawl with Jaguar, Biamonte walks right into the Superstar Stunner!
Griffin and Tantalus brawl out of sight as the legal man, Romeo, covers Biamonte. Romeo hooks the leg, one....two.....three!
