Segment 1 – Opening

The PWA logo flashes onto the screen before going right into the closing moments of last week’s edition of Frequency.

Tantalus is livid as he rises, shoving Vulture violently and sparking the crowd to cheer raucously!  Vulture shoves him back and the fans cheer even louder!

Troy:  Here we go!

Ferrara:  SIN is about to explode!

Vulture and Tantalus appear to be seconds away from imploding when PWA Champion Mike Griffin, steel chair in tow, sprints down the ramp, slides into the ring, spins Vulture around, and tattoos his skull with a vicious chair shot!

Troy:  Oh my God!  Oh my God!

Ferrara:  Mike Griffin has just taken Vulture’s head off!

Vulture collapses onto the mat, his face split wide open, and the fans begin to boo Mike Griffin.  Da Banditz and the Lost Souls continue brawling on the outside, unaware of the events that have just transpired.  In the ring, however, Mike Griffin drops the chair, leaving Vulture a bloody mess.  He then looks at Greg Tantalus, who is ready to charge him and come to the aid of his SIN brethren, but holds himself back.  Instead, Tantalus chooses to stare down Mike Griffin, the two of them never taking their eyes off each other, never changing a facial expression.  Griffin and Tantalus continue to stare holes through one another, Vulture motionless at their feet, as the camera fades to black.

“All My Life” by the Foo Fighters accompanies the opening for Overdrive, as we are taken inside Albuquerque’s Pit, where an incredible fireworks display ensues before the camera closes in on our commentators.

Cade: Hello everybody and welcome to PWA Overdrive! I’m Nick Cade, alongside my new broadcast partner Justin Schenck. Justin, what an intense moment that was on Tuesday between Mike Griffin and Greg Tantalus!

Schenck: Intense is an understatement Nick! Griffin and Tantalus in the center of the ring, but neither throwing a punch? I don’t know what it all means, but it’s definitely interesting.

Cade: Well another development that led to that altercation was the interaction between Da Banditz and the Lost Souls. As a result of that, we will be Speed Demon goes one-on-one with Gunna right here tonight!

Schenck: And what about our main event? In a rematch from Frequency, the International Champion Scythe and Paul Dawkins will team up to face Mike Grieco and The Omega Steve Beovich!

Cade: Oh that one is gonna be huge, but lets not waste any more time. Lets head up to the ring!

Segment 2, Match 1 – Greg Price vs. Chad Hasty

(Referee: Dan Martin)

Price is already in the ring as At The Drive-In's "Arcarsenal" bursts through the speakers and two gold streams of fireworks cascade from the ceiling to the ramp. Amidst a chorus of boos, Chad Hasty and The Miracle Mike Troha make their trip to the ring. Hasty steps through the ropes, but Troha walks around the squared circle and to the announce table, where he grabs a headset next to Schenck and Cade.

Schenck: The Miracle himself! How are you Mike?

Troha: Couldn't be better Justin. It’s a great day to be a Miracle.

Cade: I'm sorry to break up this love fest, but this match is Chad Hasty's. Why are you out here Mr. Troha?

Troha: Who the hell do you think you are Nick Cade?! I'm Mike Troha, The Miracle Mike Troha. Chad Hasty is my cousin and associate now, and I'm out here to show the world just how dangerous this man has become now. If that’s alright with you.

Cade: Well..

Troha: Shut the hell up!

The bell sounds and Hasty locks up with Price. Price gains the upper hand, but Hasty counters with a knee to the gut. Hasty follows with an elbow to the back of the head and floors Price with a big knee lift. Price stirs on the mat, but Hasty continues the assault by dropping an elbow to his chest. Hasty covers for one...two...and Price kicks out.

Hasty gets up and lifts Price up by the hair before scooping him up and slamming him. Chad hits the ropes and jumps for another elbow, but Price rolls out of the way! Hasty gets up, but Price clotheslines him down, then repeats it. Price backs Hasty to the ropes and shoots him across, but Hasty reverses it and counters with a big powerslam!

Schenck: What a powerslam by Chad!

Troha: See that guys. This is a focused Chad Hasty right now. The old Chad Hasty would have wasted time and found a way to lose, but look at this.

Cade: He's calling for Sudden Impact.

Schenck: Sure is, and if he hits it, its over.

Hasty gets Price into a suplex position and holds him high before crashing him down in a powerbomb to complete Sudden Impact! Hasty holds it into a pin for 1---2---3!

Troha: And there you have it. That’s the new Chad Hasty gentlemen.

Cade: (As Troha puts headset down) Very impressive performance by Hasty right there.

Schenck: And with him now against Bryan Conroy, big brother might have an even bigger problem in Chad Hasty now.

Winner via pinfall at 4:29 - Chad Hasty

Segment 3 – Backstage

We are taken to the backstage area, where Tracie Reed is standing by with the Lost Souls.

Reed: Speed Demon and Reaper, we saw you two have quite the problem on your hands last Tuesday with Da Banditz. Now Speed Demon, you are about to face Gunna one-on-one. What are your thoughts?

Demon: What is there to think about Tracie. I’m going to beat his ass and its just that simple. Da Banditz need to realize that you need to earn your respect around here. It’s not just given to you. I don’t know who the hell they thought they were getting into it with us last week. We are the Tag Team of the Year, that means we’re the best, and they will have to live with it.

Voice: Oh really?

The camera pans to the side, where we can see Gunna and Rebel enter the picture.

Gunna: Lets get one thing straight. You are the Tag Team of LAST year. That was before we got here. You think we need to earn our respect huh? Well I’ll earn mine in the ring.

Demon: We’ll see about that.

The Lost Souls barely turn away once Da Banditz are nailed from behind by two steel chairs! The camera pans up to reveal Ryan and Jeff Knakal as its holders. The Knakals and the Lost Souls lay waste to both Gunna and Rebel as Tracie flees the scene.

Demon: You guys just won’t learn will you?

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 4 – Jumbotron

The Jumbotron replays the clips of the events that just took place, with Gunna and Rebel both being laid out by The Knakals and The Lost Souls.

Cade:  I don’t know what we just witnessed, but I know that it was definitely a cheap move and it looked like a setup!

Schenck: Aren’t you the master of the obvious Nick. These Banditz are new around here and I think that they just learned a lesson the hard way.

Cade: Well it looks like Gunna won’t be able to compete tonight, and that’s a damn shame for these kids. I’m disgusted with the whole thing!

Segment 5 – Backstage

A camera is set in the dressing room belonging to Paul Dawkins and Scythe, where both men are getting ready for their upcoming matchup.

Dawkins: You ready to do this?

Scythe: Definitely.

Dawkins: Cool. Its good to team up with you again, but I’ve gotta let you know that this is only for tonight. Come Walking Wounded, I’ll be gunning for you, ready to take that title.

Scythe: Well I appreciate that Paul, but frankly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ll see you out there.

Scythe exits the room, leaving Dawkins grinning to himself in his wake.

Segment 6 – Backstage

Another camera is positioned in a different part of the backstage area, where Mike Grieco and Steve Beovich are seemingly heading to the ring.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 7 – Ringside

Cade: Alright fans we’re back and our main event is coming momentarily, but let’s shift the focus to Walking Wounded for a second.

Schenck: 2 weeks away from the hottest event of the year in Phoenix, Arizona. Is gonna be a scorcher, no doubt.

Cade: After a promotional appearance by PWA Champion Mike Griffin, there are only a few more seats available at the America West Arena. They won’t last long, so you need to go get them! Here is the card so far:

PWA World Heavyweight Championship: Mike Griffin © vs. Vulture

Segment 8, Match 2 – Paul Dawkins and Scythe vs. Mike Grieco and Steve Beovich

(Referee: Tom Stevens)

Referee Tom Stevens waits alone in the ring as "More Human Than Human" by White Zombie hits the speakers. The reluctant tandem of Mike Grieco and The Omega Steve Beovich enter to an arena full of boos, none of which faze the two partners. After they climb inside, the entrance floods with thick smoke as Linkin Park's "Wth> You" takes over. Seconds later, he equally unusual team of Paul Dawkins and Scythe make their arrival to a big pop from the crowd.

Cade: In just 2 weeks, these are the four men that will compete for the International Championship at Walking Wounded.

Schenck: They all want what Scythe has, so if I were him, I'd be very cautious in this one.

The bell sounds with Dawkins against Beovich. The two lock up and Dawkins easily muscles the smaller Beovich back into a corner. Soares calls for a break and Dawkins gives it, but The Omega comes back with a quick thumb to the eye. Dawkins is taken by surprise and then taken down with a dropkick from the reigning rookie of the year.

With Dawkins down, Beovich tags in Grieco and the powerhouse drops a big elbow on Dawkins. Grieco covers for 1---2---and a kickout from Dawkins. Grieco yanks up the Philly native and grips him in a big chinlock.

Schenck: Great move by Grieco here; try to wear Dawkins down with his power.

Cade: Its good strategy, but Paul is one of the best-conditioned athletes here in the PWA.

Dawkins struggles, and eventually forces Grieco up. With both men standing and Grieco beginning to tire from the hold, Dawkins spins out and downs Grieco with a back suplex! Both men gather their senses on the canvas and begin to crawl towards their corners. Grieco reaches first and tags in Beovich, but the crowd explodes once Dawkins brings in Scythe!

Cade: Now here's the champ!

Scythe rushes into the ring and takes down Beovich with a hard right hand. Grieco gets the same treatment and Scythe looks for the kill on Beovich with the Flying Dragon. Scythe grabs him by the neck, but Grieco nails him from behind! Grieco quickly grabs Scythe in a powerbomb position, but Dawkins spins him around and flattens him with a Fameasser!

Cade: What height by Dawkins on that jump!

Schenck: He has the biggest vertical leap I've ever seen Nick, but that won't win him this match!

Beovich and Scythe get to their feet and begin to slug it out. Beovich gains the upper hand and floors Scythe with a forearm. Beovich turns around to find Dawkins, who snaps his head across the top rope! Beovich stumbles backwards and Scythe gets in front of him to plant him with a Flying Dragon! Scythe covers for one...two...three!

Cade: Its over! What a big win for Scythe and Dawkins!

Schenck: They had good teamwork tonight, but make no mistake about it. Dawkins wants that title too, and Scythe had better watch his back come Walking Wounded
.
