OVERDRIVE

Saturday, April 12, 2003

Key Arena

Seattle, WA

The PWA logo flashes onto the screen as the Foo Fighters’ Grammy-winning “All My Life” plays for the opening of Overdrive. Seconds later, an explosive pyrotechnic displays illuminates the impressive Requiem set and the camera shot takes us to our commentators for the evening.

Cade: Hello everybody and welcome to PWA Overdrive! I’m Nick Cade, here with Rick Madsen, and Rick this is gonna be a very eventful evening to say the least!

Madsen: To say the absolute least Nick! We’ve got so much happening tonight, Tantalus and Machine, Vulture and Calysto, Jaguar and GI Jew, and its goes on and on!

Cade: Those are only three of our huge pay-per-view matches tonight, but we also have two tremendous matches lined up for you right now! Dee Licious and Romeo will take on Camieko and the returning Chad Hasty, and the Women’s Title will be on the line when Allison Kelly defends against former champions Kayne and Jade in a triple threat match!

Madsen: Well the big tag match is coming up next, and it was interesting to see how it came about. Let’s take a look.

Segment 1 – Jumbotron

Clips from this past Tuesday’s Frequency air, highlighting Hasty’s return along with Camieko’s introduction of him. Hasty is then shown chasing Romeo and Dee Licious with a chair, and later being granted a tag team match by his older half-brother, and PWA Owner, Bryan Conroy.

Segment 2, Match 1 – Dee Licious and Romeo vs. Chad Hasty and Camieko

Referee: Dan Martin

Juvenile’s “She Get It From Her Mama” begins over the loudspeakers, and Camieko makes her way down the ramp to a very nice greeting from the fans. She climbs in the ring and kindly greets longhaired referee Dan Martin as Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust” takes. A big welcome is waiting for Chad Hasty as he walks down the ramp, but he appears very focused on the task at hand, almost ignoring the cheers.

Cade: Hasty looks intense tonight.

Madsen: Dee better watch out. That doesn’t bode too well for her.

As Hasty and Camieko wait in the ring, 3 D-Bombs crash upon impact with the steel ramp as Manny Fresh’s and Young Turk’s “Freak Da Hoes” begins. The crowd jeers the sight of Dee Licious, who walks out first and is followed by Romeo. The two angrily power walk to the ring, and Dee takes her place on the apron as the bell sounds.

Cade: Romeo looks very intense as well here.

Madsen: And I think Hasty might be a little in over his head. Sure, he ran Romeo out of the ring on Tuesday, but that was when he had a weapon. I’m not sure he can beat Romeo in the ring in a fair fight after such a long layoff.

Cade: Well we’re about to find out.

Hasty and Romeo lock up in the center of the ring, but the Georgian powerhouse easily shoves Hasty to the mat. Romeo takes the time to play to the crowd, while Hasty shrugs and spears him down to the canvas! Hasty swings rapid, violent rights and lefts and Martin attempts to get in between to break it up. The referee finally succeeds, and Romeo makes a quick tag to Dee Licious, who does not want to get in the ring. Hasty licks his chops seeing him and his ex-girlfriend alone in the ring, but Martin tells him that he needs to tag Camieko.

Cade: Aw, come on Dan! Let him go!

Madsen: Are you mad, Nick! Dee can’t wrestle him! The rules are men vs. men and women vs. women.

Cade: Well with that said, here comes Camieko.

Camieko enters the ring to a large ovation, and Dee, in her usual hot pink and black attire, tries to tag out to Romeo, but the official will have none of it and orders her to wrestle Camieko. With the fans screaming, Camieko lunges forward and tackles her to the ground! With Dee flailing, Camieko grabs her dirty blond hair and pounds her head repeatedly into the canvas! Dan Martin struggles to get Camieko off, and Dee quickly runs out to tag Romeo.

“Da Playboy” rushes into the ring, and right after she’s done arguing with Martin, Camieko inadvertently runs right into Romeo! A tense moment ensues, as Camieko laces into Romeo verbally. She goes to hit him, but he catches her arm and raises his fist before slowly putting it down. In all the confusion, Chad Hasty rushes back into the ring and clotheslines Romeo down! Dee Licious re-enters the ring to chastise Hasty, but the jilted ex-boyfriend kicks her in the stomach and blasts her with the Hastyplex!

Madsen: That was illegal! Where is the ref?!

Cade: He never saw it because he was getting Camieko out of the ring. Besides, Dee should have never gotten in there.

Madsen: Good way to condone it Nick.

Chad Hasty taunts his ex, standing over her and shouting the entire time. Dan Martin tells Hasty to allow Dee out, but Romeo takes care if things first by spinning Hasty around, booting him hard in the gut and setting him up for Dre Day! Hasty struggles in the move, but Romeo lifts him high and the bottom drops out, sending Hasty crashing to the mat! With Dee still motionless in the ring, Romeo makes a cover for 1---2---3!

Cade: And just like that, Romeo ends it all with the Dre Day. What an impressive move!

Madsen: Well that’s what Hasty gets for attacking Dee! He had no right to do that and Romeo set him straight!

Cade: But what about how Romeo would not hit Camieko?

Madsen: Uh…I can’t explain that, but I do know that Romeo and Dee are our winners!

“Freak Da Hoes” replays and Camieko checks on Hasty as Romeo scoops Dee up and carries her to the back.

Winners via pinfall – Dee Licious and Romeo

Segment 3- Backstage

With a camera fixated on the back entrance to the Key Arena, the almost-full indoor crowd can be heard cheering loudly once they see The Machine walk through the door. The PWA Champion carries his bag around one shoulder and his belt over the other as he power walks into the building.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 4 – Ringside

Cade: Well we just saw The Machine’s arrival here at the Key Arena tonight. He looks ready to defend that title against Greg Tantalus.

Madsen: That’s “Smooth” Greg Tantalus to you Nick. And in my mind, he will also be known as the brand-new PWA Champion once this night is done.

Cade: Interesting call Rick, but I’m going with the champion tonight. Another one of our top matches of the night is Jaguar against GI Jew.

Madsen: That will be an explosive match, but I think the wild card in that match will be how much damage GI Jew has done to the back of Jaguar. GI Jew did pin him last week as well. Now I’m a Jaguar fan just like many of us, but I don’t see how he can hold up against an onslaught like GI Jew can bring if he’s hurt.

Cade: I have to agree with you there, Rick. Jaguar is a favorite of mine as well, but that injury just might hamper him too much. And speaking of GI Jew, he is standing by with our own Tracie Reed. Take it away Tracie.

Segment 5 – Backstage

We are taken to the interview area, where Tracie Reed is alongside GI Jew, Justice and Walter Gindin.

Reed: GI Jew, tonight you will have one of the biggest matches of your career when you go one-on-one with your old friend, Jaguar. What are your thoughts on the match?

Jew: My thoughts are solely on winning. That’s all I’m here to do. I’ve already beaten Jaguar, I’ve already injured Jaguar, all I need to do is beat him again on the big stage. Were we friends in the past, yes we were. The guy was like a brother to me, until he got in my way. Tonight, I won’t ask him to move out of the way, I’ll run his bitch ass OVER! And I just might break that back in the process this time!

Segment 6 – Backstage

A camera is once again at the back entrance of the Key Arena, where someone is apparently struggling to open the door. That someone turns out to be Daredevyl, who is carrying the bags of the man following him, “The Miracle” Mike Troha. Troha keeps his shiny sunglasses on his face while he cockily smiles at the security guards on the way in and Daredevyl huffs and puffs.

Segment 7 – Ringside

Cade: Well those were very strong words from GI Jew, but what about that moron Mike Troha?

Madsen: You mean “Miracle”, not moron. He’s saving his energy for tonight. He’s got a big match against Mike Griffin.

Cade: He certainly does, and we will hear from “The Impulse” Mike Griffin, who will join us later in the broadcast. But tickets for tonight’s event went on sale a few weeks ago and sold out in just three hours!

Madsen: And a lot of those people are looking forward to watching Mike Tortorici face off against Scythe.

Cade: Scythe was at the box office along with Tracie Reed as tickets went on sale, but Tracie is currently with Scythe’s opponent for the night, Mike Tortorici.

Segment 8 – Backstage

We are now next to the makeup area, where Tracie Reed is talking to Mike Tortorici.

Reed: Mike Tortorici, tonight you go one-on-one with –

Tortorici: You can save the song and dance honey. I know I’ve got Scythe tonight, but it means nothing to me. Sure, he’s been on a roll lately, and I’ve been watching his stuff in the ring. It impresses a lot of people, but I’m not one of them. I’m a legend in this business, and I’ll just have to prove it again in the ring. Believe me Tracie; this punk doesn’t stand a chance.

Tortorici’s eyes then turn to a monitor next to the makeup artist, which shows a shiny, red, dragon-laced 2003 Supra pull into the Key Arena parking lot. The door opens, and out steps Scythe, eliciting a huge pop from the crowd!

Tortorici: (angered) Not a chance.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 9 - Backstage

We come back from commercial to find Tracie Reed once again in the interview area, standing next to Kayne.

Reed: Kayne, you are just moments away from getting your rematch at the Women’s Championship against Allison Kelly and Jade. How are you feeling?

Kayne: I’m feeling really good Tracie. I never lost the title fairly, but I can wipe that out completely by regaining it tonight. Jade and Allison are very tough competitors, but tonight, I bring that belt right back where it belongs, and that’s with me.

Reed: Alright good luck Kayne.

Segment 10 – Main Event - PWA Women’s Championship – Kayne vs. Allison Kelly © vs. Jade

Referee: Billy Vargas

The sounds of Eminem’s “White America” creep over the PA system, causing the near-full North Pacific crowd to shower Allison Kelly in boos. The Women’s Champion exchanges words with several fans on her way to the ring, but definitely looks ready to make her biggest title defense to date. Ring announcer Lee Palmer introduces her once she enters the ring, causing even more boos. The jeers begin to pick up in volume a bit once Kidneythieves’ “Zerospace” begins and Jade makes her entrance. Easily the most dominant champion, male or female, the PWA has seen, Jade looks extremely focused on regaining the title she lost to the next opponent. Eve’s “Who’s That Girl” hits next and Palmer takes over on the microphone.

Palmer: And the challenger, from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing 125 lbs., Kayne!

A tremendous reaction greets Kayne as she makes her way to the ring, but Jade and Kelly both pounce on her once she slides in. The bell sounds and both ladies proceed to stomp away on the back of Kayne. Jade lifts Kayne up and they both Irish whip Kayne into the ropes and down her with a double back elbow on her return! Jade lifts her arms in jubilation, allowing Allison to dropkick her from behind and send her over the top rope! Kelly makes a quick cover for 1---2---and Kayne kicks out!

Cade: These are the only women to ever hold the PWA Women’s title.

Madsen: All three are deserving, but Jade needs to get back in this thing right now.

Kelly yanks Kayne back up by her hair and whips her to the ropes. Kayne bounces off, ducks a clothesline and hits one of her own! The fans get behind Kayne, who turns around to a boot and a DDT from Jade! Jade attempts to apply her Jaded submission on Kayne, but she is quickly rolled up by Kelly! Vargas counts one…two…and Jade kicks out! Jade gets right back to her feet and then begins slugging it out with Allison! The fans are enthralled with the two ladies they hate taking one another apart!

Cade: Allison and Jade are trading fists and this crowd loves it!

Jade wins the battle and eventually clotheslines the champion over the top rope and to the floor. Jade yells a few words at her opponent and turns around, allowing Kayne to kick her in the stomach and blast her with the Overdrive! Kayne hooks the far leg, and Vargas counts one…two…and he is pulled out of the ring by Kelly!

Cade: Dammit, Kayne had Jade beat!

Madsen: Seems like she forgot about the champ though Nick.

Allison slides back into the ring and Kayne peppers her jaw with hard right hands, the last one flooring her. Kayne then walks over to a prone Jade to lift her from the canvas, but Jade springs up and nails her with the Side Effect! Jade looks for a cover, but she is thwarted by Kelly, who connects with a forearm shiver. Jade responds with a thumb to the eye and goes for a scoop slam, but Kelly floats behind her and slams her down with the Nightmare on Helms Street! Kelly makes a cover, 1----2----3!

Cade: And Allison Kelly retains the Women’s Championship!

Madsen: A very impressive win by Allison as well. She went toe-to-toe with two of the best wrestlers here and beat them both!

Cade: Well earlier tonight, we promised that we would hear from “The Impulse” Mike Griffin, so lets head over to Tracie Reed, who is standing by with him.

Winner via pinfall and still PWA Women’s Champion – Allison Kelly

Segment 11- Backstage

Tracie Reed is once again in the interview area, this time with “The Impulse” Mike Griffin.

Reed: Mike Griffin, tonight you have a match with a man that we saw earlier, “The Miracle” Mike Troha. He looked extremely confident, how are you feeling?

Griffin: You know something Tracie, Mike Troha never seems to lack confidence, does he? He’s one of the most confident and cocky guys around, and maybe he has reason to be. But tonight, he won’t be too confident when he steps in between the ropes. Anyone who has watched either of our careers knows that we have a bit of history. We have wrestled together in TFU, I won the CAW Championship from him last May, and the list goes on and on, but he’s gotten a bit big for his britches lately and said he wants to take me out completely. To that I say “try it” Troha, because you will truly need a “Miracle”  to do so.

Segment 12 – Backstage

The camera is still fixated at the back entrance of the building and it swings open with the Western sun still shining outside as Jaguar finally arrives to the building. Jaguar is wearing an Ichiro Mariners jersey and carrying his bag on his left shoulder as he walks gingerly past the camera and towards his dressing room.

Segment 13 – Ringside

Cade: Well folks, we are now just minutes away from PWA Requiem, live on pay-per-view. There is still some time left to call your local cable company and order this extravaganza. Here are the matches for this incredible event:
