Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena

Jacksonville, Florida

SEGMENT 1:  INTRODUCTION:

The FBI warning flashes onto the screen, before fading into a video, set to Lil Jon and Ice Cube’s “Real Nigga Roll Call,” that highlights all of tonight’s matches, focusing on the PWA Championship match between champion Solomon and hometown hero Jaguar.  After this, we are taken inside the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, where we catch sight of an elaborate red and silver set, featuring a big steel barrier around a giant Jumbotron, and a detailed stage area, with a short ramp leading down.  From there, an amazing pyrotechnics display ensues, with fireworks shooting from the stage and ring.  As the exhibition concludes and the fans go ballistic, we are taken to our commentators, Victor Troy and Paul Ferrara!

Troy:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to PWA Revival!  I’m Victor Troy, along here with Paul Ferrara, and the moment is upon us!

Ferrara:  It sure is Troy, but first off, it’s great to have you back!

Troy:  It’s great to be back, Paul, and let me tell you, that was a wicked chair shot that I took last month at Fallen Souls.

Ferrara:  It sure sounded like it.  Hopefully, GI Jew can gain a measure of revenge for both of us tonight when he faces that monster Anthony Failla inside a steel cage.

Troy:  And speaking of monsters, the Alaskan Monster himself, the mighty Solomon, will put his undefeated streak and the PWA Championship on the line against
Jacksonville’s own Jaguar.

Ferrara:  Well it’s no secret who the fans are supporting tonight, and you can’t blame them.  From what I’ve heard, all the boys in the back are behind Jaguar as well.  Nobody wants to face Solomon, and as long as the big man has the world championship, everyone back there is going to be a bit uneasy.

Troy:  The one possible exception, however, is Romeo, Jaguar’s tag team partner, who feels that he could defeat Solomon if given another opportunity.

Ferrara:  You could even say that he’s become obsessed with it.

Troy:  It will be interesting to see what role, if any, Romeo will play in tonight’s main event.

Ferrara:  We’ve also got other great matches tonight, like Hollywood Mike Griffin against Greg Tantalus, Bishop Cross against Scythe, Jason Calysto against Infernus in a submission match, plus much more!

Troy:  In fact, let’s head right down to the ring for our opening contest!

SEGMENT 2:  MATCH 1:  PAUL DAWKINS VS. JACKIE BACCARO:
Referee:  Matt Hansen

As the fans sit in their seats, waiting anxiously for the show to begin, “Nightfall” by Akrobatik his, and the fans are momentarily confused.  However, when Jackie Baccaro emerges from behind the curtain, the Jacksonville Arena erupts into a chorus of jeers.  Smirking, Jackie Baccaro begins the walk down the aisle, headed to the ring for his first pay-per-view singles match since splitting with his longtime tag team partner.  Baccaro enters the ring and stretches out on the ropes, awaiting his familiar opposition.  Moments later, “Black” by Sevendust hits and the fans cheer as Paul Dawkins wastes no time heading down to the ring.  Dawkins gets right in there and immediately begins slugging it out with his former partner as the bell sounds.

Troy:  Alright, here we go!

Ferrara:  This is going to be heated!

Dawkins and Baccaro exchange blows as the match begins, with Dawkins gaining the early advantage in the battle.  Dawkins uses this advantage to shove Baccaro into the corner, where he pounds away on his with continued blows to the face, pounding him down into the ground.  Baccaro, however, gets back up and quickly shoves Dawkins back, creating space.  With this space, Baccaro comes out and blasts Dawkins down with a clothesline.  Dawkins begins to reel on the ground and Baccaro moves in, blasting his former partner with several stiff kicks to the back.  Dawkins gets to his feet, but Baccaro shoves him into the corner and begins unloading with furious knife-edge chops.  Dawkins reels, but soon regains his composure, grabs Baccaro, tosses him into the corner, and begins unloading with knife-edge chops of his own.  Baccaro then stumbles forward, but Dawkins hits him with a big belly-to-belly suplex, downing him.  Dawkins covers… one, two, and Baccaro gets a shoulder up.

Troy:  A back and forth match to this point.

Ferrara:  Yeah Troy, these are two pretty evenly matched stars.

Dawkins tries to stay on the offensive, but Baccaro makes a comeback, downing Dawkins with a big stiff clothesline.  Dawkins hits the mat with a thud and Baccaro goes back to work.  Baccaro tries to keep Dawkins grounded, and does a good job of it, pounding away on him with vicious knees and elbows, keeping his former tag team partner at bay.  Baccaro then, as Dawkins rises, whips him hard into the corner before hitting him with multiple shoulders to the midsection, sending Dawkins through intense pain.  As Dawkins stumbles forward, Baccaro grabs him in a hard bearhug, wrenching in tightly, trying to break Dawkins’ ribs.

Troy:  Dawkins needs to be careful here, Baccaro can just put him away.

Ferrara:  It’s really true.

As Baccaro keeps Dawkins locked in the bearhug, the camera momentarily shifts to the audience, where Dexter P. Wellington and his butler arrive on the scene, heading for a ringside seat.  The butler places a velvet towel on the seat so that Mr. Wellington can sit down and Wellington, disgust on his face, sits down to observe some PWA action.

Troy:  Looks like Dexter Wellington wants a bird’s-eye view of the world he’s getting himself into starting this Tuesday.

Ferrara:  Not a bad idea at all.

Dawkins stays alive in the bearhug, ultimately raking Baccaro’s eyes, forcing the hold to be broken.  Dawkins regroups on one knee and the referee checks on him, allowing Baccaro time to rip the top turnbuckle pad off.  However, as soon as he does this, Dawkins shoves him back into the corner and nails him with the running stinger splash, leaving Baccaro dazed!  As Baccaro stumbles forward, Dawkins bends him over and nails him with the MOAB!  The fans cheer loudly as Dawkins covers… one, two, and the referee stops counting when he notices Baccaro’s foot underneath the bottom rope!

Ferrara:  Good call, ref!

Dawkins argues with the official, allowing Baccaro time to regroup and get back to his feet.  When Dawkins turns around and tries to grab Baccaro for another MOAB, Baccaro whips Dawkins hard into the exposed turnbuckle.  As Dawkins staggers forward, Baccaro lifts him into his shoulder and destroys him with a spinning faceplant!

Ferrara:  That’s his new finisher, the Baccaro Bomb!

Troy:  And it looks like it has just finished Paul Dawkins!

Smirking, Baccaro turns Dawkins over and hooks the leg… one, two, three.  The fans boo loudly as “Nightfall” hits the speakers and Jackie Baccaro is announced the winner.  Arrogantly, Baccaro slides out of the ring and heads backstage, as Dawkins reels in the center of the ring, beaten.

WINNER VIA PINFALL AT 8:38:  JACKIE BACCARO

SEGMENT 3:  MATCH 2:  PWA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP:
KEIKO ISHIDA © VS. CAMIEKO:

Referee:  Tom Stevens

Moments later, after the ring clears, “Hot Like Fire” by Aaliyah overtakes the speakers and the fans cheer for the former women’s champion.  Camieko, looking to be all business tonight, comes down the aisle and stands in the ring, awaiting the champion.  She doesn’t have to wait long, as “Samurai” by Juno Reaction soon hits and the Jacksonville Arena is overcome with boos as the PWA Women’s Champion Keiko Ishida begins to make her way to the ring.  The ever-intimidating Ishida stalks her way down to the ring, eventually getting in the face of the challenger Camieko as the bell sounds.

Troy:  This is going to be an intense match, Paul.

Ferrara:  I’ll say.  It looks like the intensity has already begun!

Camieko starts the match off hot, pounding away viciously on Keiko, staggering her back into the corner.  She then whips Ishida all the way to the opposite corner, following her in with a big clothesline!  As Keiko staggers forward, Camieko hits her with a nice suplex!  Camieko then beckons Ishida to her feet, and when the champion rises, she hits her with a spinning forearm!  Camieko looks for one more, but this time, Ishida sidesteps her and Camieko hits the mat with a crash.  Keiko then stands in position and, as soon as Camieko turns around, Ishida nails her with a vicious running STO, Camieko’s head smacking against the mat!  Effortlessly, Ishida covers… one, two, three.

Troy:  I don’t believe it!  Just like that, this match is over!

Ferrara:  I can believe it, Troy!  Keiko Ishida is deadly, and that running STO she does is even deadlier!  It was all she needed to put this match away!

The fans sit in stunned silence as “Samurai” hits and Ishida exits to the back, victorious.
WINNER VIA PINFALL AT 2:29 AND STILL WOMEN’S CHAMPION:  KEIKO ISHIDA

SEGMENT 4:  BACKSTAGE:

The camera shot cuts backstage to Scott Cornelius, who is standing by with The Iceman Jason Calysto.

Cornelius: Jason, you are now moments away from heading to the ring to face Infernus in a submission match that you challenged him to and he accepted. What are you thinking right now?

Calysto: It was one year ago Scott. One year ago, December 30th, 2003 in my hometown at Madison Square Garden. I had just lost to The Machine a few nights earlier in New Jersey and my career was over. So on what was meant to be my final night in the PWA, The Machine, Tony Annetta and Infernus all came out and tossed me out the door. I never forgot that night Scott. No one does that to me. No one disrespects the good name of Jason Calysto like that Scott. So when I returned, I made The Machine tap out and retired his ass. And then, I made Tony tap out and put him on the shelf with no sign of a fathomable return. And now that leaves Infernus; the same guy who ruined my night a year ago and then found a way to cost me the World Heavyweight Championship. He jumped me from behind a few weeks ago and made me tap out to my own move. That was fine and good, but now we're going to see how he does things when he has to face me man-to-man. When it's all said and done, I'll make him tap out as well like the bitch he is. Infernus, the time for talking is over. Shut up...and wrestle.

Calysto abruptly walks off the set and Cornelius turns to watch him leave as he starts his march to the ring.

SEGMENT 5:  BACKSTAGE:

The camera now cuts to another portion of the backstage area, where Traci Reed is standing with Infernus and Walter Gindin.

Reed:  Infernus, in just…

Infernus:  Save it, toots.  You see, this match is about one thing:  humiliation.  I’m out here tonight to ruin Calysto’s quest to gain complete revenge for what happened to him on December 30, 2003.  I’m out here tonight to make sure that Revival remains the one pay-per-view where Jason Calysto simply cannot gain a victory.  And apart from that, I’m here to do to Jason Calysto exactly what happened to him last year at Revival:  I’m going to beat him with his own finishing move, right here at Revival.  But this time, he’s gonna tap out in front of the whole world.  Now Walter, I’m gonna need a favor from you.

Gindin:  What’s that?

Infernus:  I need you to stay back here tonight.  Not only do I want to humiliate Calysto, but I want him to not even have one excuse when I do.  So, I need to do this alone.

Gindin:  Whatever you say.

Infernus:  Alright.  The time has come.  Jason Calysto, the only thing that you’re going to revive tonight… is the feeling of being beaten by your own move.  And you’re gonna feel it for a long, long time.  This is my night to make a name for myself, to finally become a star.  And I don’t plan on letting myself down.

With that, Infernus exits the scene, headed for the ring.

SEGMENT 6:  MATCH 3:  SUBMISSION MATCH:
THE ICEMAN JASON CALYSTO VS. INFERNUS:

Referee:  Tom Stevens

The slow beginnings of "Smash Sumthin" by Redman and Adam F. booms through the speakers, bringing boos from the crowd as Infernus steps out onto the stage. He scoffs at the crowd before focusing completely on the ring for what could be the biggest match of his career.

Troy: You know Paul, Infernus has been a Tag Team Champion, a Progressive Champion and an International Champion, but I think that this match right here could be his biggest one to date.

Ferrara: Winning titles is exceptional, but if he can make Jason Calysto submit right here tonight in Jacksonville, I could say without a doubt that Infernus' career will be made right there in that ring. I don't even think I know a guy who has made Jason Calysto tap out, but if Infernus wants to win bad enough tonight, we'll see that happen.

"F*ckin' In the Bushes" by Oasis plays next, and an immense ovation greets The Iceman Jason Calysto as he steps out onto the ramp. He walks down steadily, but definitely with a purpose as he never takes his eyes off of Infernus. He climbs into the ring and Infernus immediately goes after him, catching him with shots in between the ropes and them forcing Calysto back into a corner.

Infernus tries to take the advantage with a hard chop to the chest, but it only sets Calysto off as he reverses their positioning and lights Infernus' chest up with stinging chops of his own. He then shoots Infernus to the ropes and sends him high in the air with a big back body drop.

Calysto goes after Infernus on the ground, but Infernus manages to grab his light blue trunks and pull him in fast, banging Calysto's head hard across the turnbuckles. Infernus almost tries a rollup, but realizes the only way to win is via submission, so he locks on a leg vice.

Troy: I don't think Calysto is going to tap out here, but Infernus is off to a good start.

Ferrara: He needs to single out a body part and work on it, and right now it looks like that is the leg of The Iceman.

Infernus digs into the hold, but Calysto manages to stand up in it and break it with a boot to the face. He grabs Infernus in a tight front facelock, but Infernus finds a way to stand up and score with a Northern Lights Suplex!

Infernus then heads up to the middle rope, looking for The Ho Down DDT. Calysto gets to his feet and Infernus jumps off, nailing The Ho Down with tremendous impact! Calysto lands right on his head and Infernus might be able to score a pinfall, but knowing he needs a submission, he turns Calysto over onto his abdomen and locks on The Crossface!

Ferrara: The Crossface! Infernus has just put The Crossface on Jason Calysto!

Troy: Jay might tap out here!

Calysto tries to prop himself up with his free arm, but Infernus wrenches back tightly. Calysto props up and pushes off to roll out of the move, but Infernus holds on and pulls back even harder! The crowd is cheering loudly for Calysto, but the Iceman has nowhere to go! Calysto raises his hand up seemingly to tap out and he slaps the mat, but its only to push himself into another roll that ties him and Infernus up in the ropes, forcing Infernus to break the hold!

Troy: Calysto has reached the ropes; Infernus has to break the hold now!

Ferrara: He does, but he's not. He's risking disqualification here too. Even though it’s a submission match, you can be disqualified, and the senior referee will not be afraid to do it.

Tom Stevens counts all the way to four before Infernus finally breaks the hold, and the two share words long enough for Calysto to pull himself up to his feet. Infernus turns back to him, but The Iceman connects with a spinning heel kick from nowhere!

Ferrara: Where did that spinning heel kick come from?!

Troy: From the boot of The Iceman, and that means this match is almost over!

Ferrara: Calysto is still feeling the effects of The Crossface, I'm not sold on that yet Troy.

Both men get to their feet and wipe out the cobwebs slowly. Infernus runs at Calysto for a clothesline, but The Iceman ducks it, hits the ropes and lays Infernus out with a mafia kick to the chin! Calysto then pounds his chest and yells at Infernus, pumping himself up and bringing the crowd back into the match.

Troy: The Iceman is feeling it now. He's heading up to the top rope!

Calysto perches himself on the top rope and drags a finger side to side in a straight line, signaling for The Bottom Line. Infernus gets up slowly and walks right into the Calysto clothesline that sends him right back on the canvas! Calysto doesn't let up one bit, picking Infernus up onto his shoulders and drilling him with The Icebreaker!

Troy: Icebreaker! We know what The Iceman is looking for next!

Ferrara: Infernus is looking down and out right now!

Infernus fights to get to his hands and knees, but that just makes it easier for Calysto to clamp on The Crossface! He wrenches back and Infernus clearly has no alternative other than to tap out! The bell sounds and "F*ckin In The Bushes" replays as Lee Palmer announces Calysto as the winner.

Troy: After one year, Jason Calysto has now defeated all three of the men that ruined what was meant to be his last night in the PWA. He took out The Machine, he took out Tony Annetta, and now Infernus has been beaten right there in the middle of the ring here at Revival.

Ferrara: He gave it a great effort, but The Iceman just was not going to be denied. He beat Infernus from pillar to post and made him give it up.

Calysto stands over the fallen Infernus and rubs his hands together three times, signifying that he is officially done with the task he set out to do so many months ago.

WINNER VIA SUBMISSION AT 12:11:  JASON CALYSTO

SEGMENT 7:  MATCH 4:  ROMEO VS. RENEGADE:
Referee:  Jose Soares

After the ring clears, “Renegade” by Jay-Z and Eminem hits and the crowd erupts into jeers for the recently-returned Renegade, who has a hefty challenge in front of him here tonight.  Renegade, looking as cocky and confident as ever, strolls his way to the ring, perhaps underestimating exactly what it is that he has to accomplish tonight.  As Renegade waits in the ring, “Hottest of the Hot” by B.G. hits and the crowd pops huge for Romeo as three D-bombs drop and he makes his way to the ring.  Romeo wastes absolutely no time hitting the ring, sliding right in and immediately going to work on Renegade as the bell sounds.

Ferrara:  Romeo has a lot of frustration that he wants to take out here.  I don’t think this is a very good situation for Renegade.

Troy:  You know Paul, I’m gonna have to agree with you.

Romeo pounds Renegade into oblivion, with Renegade largely unable to even get a move off.  Romeo then tosses Renegade into the corner and begins pummeling him with hard rights, until Renegade can barely get to his feet.  Finally, Renegade does make it to his feet and begins throwing desperation kicks and punches in Romeo’s direction, trying, fleetingly, to make something happen.  It works, to a degree, as Romeo is a little staggered when Renegade sets forth with a huge kick.  However, Romeo ducks under it, grabs him, sets him up for Dre Day, and nails it in the center of the ring with sickening impact.  Da Playboi doesn’t even go down to make the cover, instead planting a boot on his chest as the referee counts… one, two, three!

Troy:  That was a pure massacre!

Ferrara:  With the mood Romeo is in, did you expect any less?

The fans cheer loudly as “Hottest of the Hot” hits the speakers and Romeo exits the ring, feeling somewhat accomplished.
WINNER VIA PINFALL AT 2:49:  ROMEO

SEGMENT 8:  BACKSTAGE:

The camera immediately shifts to the parking lot, where we see a crowd of officials around Jonathan Brett, who is completely unconscious and bleeding from the side of the head.  As he is being tended to, in the distance, we see a smirking Greg Tantalus with a tire iron.  He is then approached by PWA Commissioner Kerry Cox.

Cox:  What the hell was that?!

Tantalus:  (smirking) Equalizer.  Listen, it’s gonna be bad enough competing with
Griffin with just my sister in his corner.  But to have Brett there as well… wasn’t gonna be pretty.  So I took care of it.  What are you gonna do?  Fine me?  Suspend me?

Cox:  No… (smiling) I’m gonna wish you luck tonight.

Tantalus smirks back at Cox and walks off as we head back to the ring.

SEGMENT 9:  MATCH 5:  PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: TRIPLE THREAT BEDLAM MATCH:
DEAN NASH & DAMIEN FIELDS © VS. THE NATURALS VS. THE LOST SOULS:

Referee:  Matt Hansen

The crowd is ready for tag team action once "A Violent Reaction" by American Head Charge hits. With the crowd booing profusely, The Lost Souls emerge through the curtain and look intensely focused on regaining the PWA Tag Team titles as they get closer to the ring. Reaper and Speed Demon step inside the squared circle and wait like caged animals as "All or Nothin" by Tom Petty begins next. The boos stay constant, if not louder as Justin Schenck brings The Naturals down to the ring. Also former Tag Team Champions, Kris Anthony and Greg Price don't carry their normally smug looks as they make their way to the ring ready to reclaim the gold. As those four men wait in the ring, The Prodigy's "Spitfire" begins, making the crowd cheer as Dynamite Dean Nash and Damien Fields step out. The Tag Team Champions look ready for their first pay-per-view title defense and look to not make it their last as they drop the belts on the ramp and burst right into the ring!

Troy: Remember the rules of this match, first fall wins.

Ferrara: Rules? It's just that, there are no rules in this match. Everything, and I do mean everything is legal.

The bell sounds and Reaper quickly pounces on Fields as he slides into the ring, just as Demon does the same to Nash. The Naturals stand back and watch until running up and clubbing The Lost Souls from behind. they stomp Reaper and Demon into the mat before doing the same to Nash and Fields. Looking for an even bigger advantage, each hops out of the ring and flip up the ring apron to find a weapon.

The Naturals come up with a table from under the ring and look to slide it in, but all they receive are two baseball slides courtesy of The Naturals that splits it right back into their faces! The Lost Souls then step out to further their attack with blows to the head, but all four are taken out by planchas in stereo by the champions!

Troy: Fields and Nash are flying high tonight and this crowd is loving it!

The referee knows not to make a count and simply stands in the ring as all six men struggle to get up. Once they do, all continue to tear into one another with punches and kicks. Reaper knocks Greg Price down with a huge punch to the face and then tries a clothesline, but he ducks and Reaper's arm connects with the iron ringpost with full force! Fields begins to charge at the other Natural, but Anthony quickly ducks down and sends him into the steel ring steps with a back body drop!

Ferrara: This is just a car wreck right now!

Troy: Its utter chaos in the ring and out of it!

The Naturals slide into the ring, with Nash and Speed Demon close behind. Each begin to trade blows with the former champions until knocking them down with simultaneous dropkicks. Demon tells Nash to team up with him briefly and the former Progressive Champion complies, but Demon quickly spins him around and nails him with The Demonizer! Demon makes a quick cover for a count of two, but he is pulled out by Fields before Vargas can count to three.

Those two trade punches on the outside until the rookie whips Speed Demon violently into the security wall around the ring. He slides back into the ring just as Reaper slides the table in as well. They meet in the middle, with Fields giving Reaper a big DDT. The crowd is fully behind Fields as he gets off the mat, but he is sent down rapidly with a chairshot to the skull from Greg Price!

Troy: What a shot by Price! If he can make a cover, this one will be over!

Price gets into a pin position for one...two..., but he is nailed from behind with a top rope headbutt from Dean Nash that breaks up the pin! Nash rolls away, clutching his head from the blow, but the crafty Kris Anthony sneaks on top of Fields for another Naturals pin attempt. Billy Vargas counts one...two....thr-but Fields gets a shoulder up!

Anthony is shocked at the result and immediately gets up to signal for The Flatliner. Fields gets up slowly and Anthony grabs him, but Fields reverses it and snaps him down with a big Diamond Cutter! He rolls over into a cover, but gets cracked in the back with a chair from Speed Demon!

Demon then turns to take out Nash, but Nash executes a drop toe hold that lands Demon's face right down on the chair. He gets up, but walks into a kick to the midsection from Reaper, who then scoops him up and plants him with The Passed Judgment Piledriver! Reaper makes a cover and Greg Price crawls over to break it up, but he doesn't make it in time as Billy Vargas counts to three and calls for the bell!

Troy: That's it! Reaper just got the pinfall over Dean Nash!

Ferrara: And for the third time, The Lost Souls have become PWA Tag Team Champions!

"A Violent Reaction" hits again and the crowd boos loudly as Demon and Reaper are handed the belts. The opposing teams try to piece themselves back together as Demon and Reaper simply exit the ring victorious.

WINNERS VIA PINFALL AT 8:47 AND NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS:  THE LOST SOULS

SEGMENT 10:  JUMBOTRON:

A video package airs, highlighting events that led us to tonight’s confrontation between Scythe and Bishop Cross.

SEGMENT 11:  MATCH 6:  BISHOP CROSS VS. SCYTHE:
Referee:  Matt Hansen

The camera returns ringside, where “Phantom of the Opera overture” by Andrew Lloyd Weber hits and the mysterious Bishop Cross makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos.  The ever-intimidating Cross makes his way to the ring amidst a bluish glow and fiery torches, making many people in attendance uneasy.  Cross then stands in the ring, awaiting the arrival of his opposition.  He doesn’t have to wait long, however, as “With You” by Linkin Park blasts onto the speakers and the fans erupt in thunderous approval as the Modern-Day Samurai makes his return to the PWA.

Troy:  Alright here he comes!  Scythe is back after nearly a seven-week absence!

Ferrara:  And it’s great to see him back!

Scythe soaks in the response of the crowd before heading into the ring and shedding his entrance attire.  He then stands face to face with the man who tried to end his career on November 9th, the mysterious figure from his past, Bishop Cross.  Cross and Scythe stare intently at one another for some time before Cross asks for a test of strength.  As soon as Scythe obliges, Cross pokes him in the eye, drawing the ire of the crowd.  Cross uses the advantage, chopping Scythe back into the corner, trying to gain a substantial advantage to build on here in the early going.  Cross pounds on Scythe with hard chops, making it hard for the Modern-Day Samurai to see straight.  Scythe stumbles forward, and Cross chops him down to the mat hard.

Troy:  Cross is impressive here so far.

Ferrara:  Yeah, and I think he’ll keep it up the whole match.

Cross continues pounding away on Scythe until the Modern-Day Samurai springs forward and begins taking the match back into his hands.  Scythe backs Cross off with several stiff chops to the chest before taking him down numerous times with deep armdrags.  After four of them, Cross gets up again, but is downed by a big Scythe dropkick!  Cross gets up again, but Scythe clotheslines him down to the mat hard!

Troy:  Scythe is making a comeback!

Scythe charges in at a rising Cross, looking for another clothesline, but Cross ducks under it and counters with a hard reverse neckbreaker.  Cross then pounds away on the midsection of Scythe with vicious stomps, battering the former PWA Champion into oblivion.  With each stomp, Cross is able to wear Scythe down further and further, increasing his chances for success as the match wears on.  Cross then grabs Scythe and whips him hard into the corner.  With Scythe reeling in the corner, Cross runs at him and smashes him with a furious splash.  The Modern-Day Samurai stumbles out of the corner and Cross downs him with a big chop to the chest.  With Scythe on the mat, Cross locks in a rear-naked choke, looking to put the former champion away once and for all.  Cross squeezes tightly in the hold, trying to make air escape the lungs of the former PWA Champion, trying to make him pass out.  However, the Samurai will not give in.

Troy:  Scythe is fighting with every ounce of his being!

Ferrara:  He will never say die!

At long last, Scythe is able to maneuver himself close enough to the ropes to reach out and grab them.  The crowd cheers when Scythe grabs the ropes, and Cross is displeased at the fact that he is forced to break the hold.  After brief words with referee Matt Hansen, Bishop Cross turns his attention back to the match, lifting Scythe up and whipping him hard, shoulder-first into the steel barricade.  Scythe winces in pain, but Cross continues to pour on the intensity, hitting Scythe with a jumping armbreaker and wrenching it in.  Again, Scythe is put into a position where he is on the verge of having to tap out, but he refuses to give in.  Scythe fights back to a vertical base and, at length, punishes Cross with left-armed chops to the chest, eventually breaking the hold.  Then, with Cross staggered, Scythe reaches out and nails the Flying Dragon, in one fell swoop!

Troy:  He hit the Flying Dragon!

Ferrara:  Troy, this match might be history!

Scythe then crawls over to Cross and makes a cover… one, two, and Cross kicks out!  The fans gasp, feeling that the match should have been over right there, but Scythe remains undaunted.  Scythe continues pounding away on Cross, looking to set him up for the Diving Blade, but Cross is able to fight back to a vertical base and begin slugging it out with his foe.  Scythe throws a big haymaker right hand at Cross, but Cross ducks under it and swiftly nails Scythe with a variation of the widow’s peak!

Ferrara:  Did you see that, Troy?!  That’s Bishop Cross’ new move!  He calls that the Crossfire!

Troy:  Well it looks like Scythe just got caught in the Crossfire right there!

Cross goes for a cover, but at two, Scythe is able to place his right boot on the bottom rope!  The fans cheer at this, but Cross looks to waste no time and finish him off immediately after this.  He grabs Scythe by the legs, pulls him to the center of the ring, and locks on the Grand Finale.  With his variation of the sharpshooter wrenched in, Cross reaches back with all his might, trying to get his opponent to tap out.  However, Scythe holds strong and, ultimately, manages to thrust himself from the center of the ring to the ropes, grabbing them and forcing Cross to break the hold!

Troy:  Scythe has been given new life in this match!

Ferrara:  Let’s see if he can do something about it before Cross just squashes it again.

Scythe gets to his feet and Cross immediately looks to set him up again for the Crossfire.  However, before this can happen, Scythe slips out and nails him with another Flying Dragon!  The fans cheer as Scythe pulls Cross into position and scales the ropes, perching himself on the top.  Scythe then leaps off, nailing Cross with the Diving Blade!  The Modern-Day Samurai hooks the leg… one, two, thr—and Cross kicks out!

Troy:  I don’t believe it!  Bishop Cross has just kicked out of the Diving Blade!

Ferrara:  This is amazing!

Scythe is stunned at Cross’ ability to kick out of the move, but remains undaunted.  He tries to lift Cross up, but Cross rolls him up in a small package… one, two, and Scythe kicks out!  Scythe gets up and tries to grab him for the Flying Dragon, but Cross shoves him into the corner and charges.  Scythe, however, leapfrogs over, spins around, and rolls Cross up!  One, two, three!

Troy:  Yes!  Scythe has done it!

Ferrara:  What an impressive victory!

The fans cheer loudly as “With You” hits the speakers and Scythe is announced the winner of the match.  Foregoing any celebration, Scythe rolls out of the ring and heads to the back, victorious, as Cross seethes in the ring, knowing that there will be another battle.
