A
video package airs, highlighting events that took place last week, with new PWA
Champion Solomon addressing the fans after his victory over Greg Tantalus at
Fallen Souls, only to be put into a title defense against Jason Calysto later
in the night. It also shows the Solomon-Calysto match take place, with Romeo
interfering and attacking Calysto viciously to end the show. As the package
concludes, “By_Myslf” by
Hosemann: It’s gonna be wild,
Hosemann: You know Troy,
what Scythe said actually made sense to me, but these fans are another story.
Troy: Also tonight, of
course, we’re going to see an intergender match with
explosive implications. Morgan Day must put her Women’s Title shot on the line
tonight, as she squares off with Walter Gindin client Infernus.
Hosemann: Gindin is a tricky
bastard,
Troy: And
folks, we’re gonna kick things off big tonight, with a Tag Team Championship
match! It’s a rematch from Hellbent, and it’s right
now!
Suddenly,
“Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse blasts onto the speakers and the fans begin
cheering loudly as the British sensations Paul Epton and John Wolfe begin
making their way down to the ring.
Troy: We haven’t seen much
of Epton and Wolfe lately, Scott, but they have exercised their rematch clause
tonight and will be attempting to win back the tag straps.
Hosemann: They certainly
have a tough road ahead of them. The Army has been nearly unstoppable lately.
You saw what happened to Speed Demon at Fallen Souls. And of course Renegade last week.
Hosemann: Maybe Renegade
would have had a better chance had Paul Dawkins been anywhere in sight. I still
have no idea where Dawkins is.
Troy: None of us do,
especially with Liz Rush also on the shelf.
Moments
later, “We Who Are Not As Others” by Sepultura hits
the speakers and the fans begin booing loudly as Loki and Reaper, the Tag Team
Champions representing Army of the Damned, make their way to the ring. As Epton
and Wolfe wait patiently in the ring, Loki and Reaper stalk their way to the ring,
finally getting inside and prompting the bell to sound.
* PWA TAG TEAM
CHAMPIONSHIP: ARMY OF THE DAMNED © VS. PAUL EPTON & JOHN WOLFE *
Referee: Jason Church
Loki and
Epton start the match off, and Loki immediately shoves Epton down to the mat,
exhibiting his power. Epton gets right back up and takes note of what just
happened, beginning to use his speed to get around Loki. Epton is able to go
behind Loki and trip him up, prompting the fans to cheer. Epton then locks Loki
in a headlock, but Loki maneuvers himself back to a vertical base and begins
pounding at his midsection to loosen the grip. Loki lifts Epton up, looking for
a back suplex, but Epton retains his grip and rolls Loki through, keeping the
headlock on. Loki gets up again and shoves Epton into the ropes, breaking the
grip. Epton hits the opposite ropes, and Loki looks for a spinebuster on the
return, but Epton downs Loki with a big shining wizard!
Hosemann: This is a big opportunity for the Brits! Epton needs to make a tag
and bring in the big man!
Loki goes
to his corner, looking for a tag, and Epton does the same. Loki is able to
reach his corner first, tagging Reaper into the match. Reaper charges at Epton,
but not before Epton tags John Wolfe into the fray! Wolfe enters the ring on
fire, booting Reaper down to the mat, and clotheslining
Loki over the top and out of the ring! Wolfe then lifts Reaper up and tosses
him across the ring! Loki gets onto the apron and Wolfe knocks him off! However,
on the distraction, Reaper gets back up and attacks Wolfe from behind, sending
him down to one knee. Reaper then grabs Wolfe and tosses him into the corner,
following it up with a big splash. Wolfe stumbles forward, and Reaper downs him
with a belly-to-belly suplex. Reaper covers… one, two, and Wolfe gets the
shoulder up. Reaper then tags Loki back into the match and the two begin
stomping away on Wolfe viciously. Epton enters the ring, trying to get the
referee to break up the double-team, but once he does,
Reaper takes out the tag rope and begins choking Wolfe with it behind Church’s
back!
Troy: C’mon, ref!
Loki
then continues the advantage on Wolfe, pounding him down in the corner. He then
lifts Wolfe up, whips him against the ropes, and downs him with a big
clothesline. With Wolfe reeling, Loki goes to the top rope and looks to come
down with a sledge. However, Wolfe seems him coming and nails him with a punch
to the stomach! Loki doubles over, and Wolfe downs him with a big boot! Wolfe
then lifts Loki up, whips him against the ropes, and downs him with a
tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Wolfe then tags Epton into the match, who gets on the
top rope, ready to fly! However, before this can happen, Reaper enters the ring
and distracts the referee. Then, Bishop Cross runs out from the back and shoves
Epton off the top rope! Epton smacks against the steel barricade, throat first!
Cross then exits discretely.
Hosemann: The ref needs to open his eyes a bit more,
The
referee turns his attention back to the match, just as Loki blindsides Wolfe,
nailing him in the back of the throat and knocking him down. The referee,
remembering that Epton is the legal man, begins his count as he is unconscious
outside of the ring. Wolfe, now down inside the ring, cannot get to his partner
before Church reaches the count of ten and signals for the bell. The crowd
jeers loudly.
Palmer: Ladies and
gentlemen, the winners of this bout, as a result of a count-out, and STILL PWA
Tag Team Champions… Army of the Damned!
The
fans continue booing raucously as “We Who Are Not As
Others” hits and Loki and Reaper exit victoriously.
Hosemann: They sure have!
Someone needs to do something about these guys, and fast! Speed Demon was taken
out for who knows how long, and Renegade is out a couple weeks after last
week’s assault, so we’ve lost our biggest defenders against them.
Troy: That’s true, Scott,
but in two weeks, GI Jew returns, and we are told that that night, December 13,
GI Jew will go one-on-one with Bishop Cross.
Hosemann: I wish him luck,
but if the numbers game is anything like it was tonight, he’s gonna need a
whole lot of it.

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from
commercial, “F*ckin in the Bushes” by Oasis explodes
onto the speakers, and the fans begin cheering wildly as The Iceman Jason
Calysto makes his way to the ring. Calysto grabs a microphone and steps into
the ring, clearly meaning business.
Calysto: Alright, I’m going to get right
to it, because there’s no sense beating around the bush. Romeo, get your ass
out here right now, I’ve got something to say.
Moments later, “And Then What” by Young Jeezy
hits and Da Playboi Romeo
makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos, standing inside, face-to-face
with Calysto.
Calysto: Last week, Romeo, you took it
upon yourself to come down to the ring when I had a chance to win the PWA
Championship from Solomon, and you ruined that. So, I got to thinking over the
past week. Until this issue between us is settled, neither of us will be free
to pursue that championship. So let’s get it done. New Year’s Eve, Revival, one
of the biggest stages the PWA has to offer. I’m challenging you, Romeo, to go
one-on-one with me, and settle this like men.
Romeo: You want me at Revival, Calysto? I don’t have
much to say to you. You know where I stand on you, and obviously that hasn’t
changed since Fallen Souls. Why do you think I attacked you last week? This
isn’t over between us, not by a long shot. So Calysto, I accept your challenge
for Revival. And believe me, when the match is over, it will be ME with his
hand raised, not you.
Calysto: Oh we’ll see about that.
Calysto and Romeo then get face to face, with the tension building, as the
fans cheer loudly. Romeo and Calysto seemed poised to explode in the ring and
officials pour out from the back to make sure no punches are thrown.
Hosemann: I can’t wait!
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from
commercial, “With You” by
Troy: Alright folks, we’re now going to
see Scythe square off against Dean Nash, in what will be Scythe’s first match
since having a change of heart.
Hosemann: Yeah, it was interesting to see Scythe’s change over the last few
weeks, but now we’ll see if this newfound aggression has carried over to the
ring.
Scythe steps into the ring and sheds his entrance garb as the bell sounds.
* SCYTHE VS. DYNAMITE DEAN NASH *
Referee: Billy Vargas
Nash charges at Scythe, but Scythe immediately downs him on the run with a
furious knife-edge chop. Scythe then lifts Nash up and whips him into the
corner, following him in with a huge splash! Nash stumbles forward, and Scythe
destroys him with the Flying Dragon! Nash is virtually out, but Scythe runs his
thumb across his throat, lifts Nash up, and blasts him with another Flying
Dragon! Scythe covers… one, two, three.
Hosemann: That was unbelievable!
The fans
boo loudly as “With You” replays over the speakers and Scythe exits the ring.
Scythe exits without the fanfare we have come accustomed to, but with something
perhaps more important: an absolutely dominant victory.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL: SCYTHE *
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
As we
return from break, we see Scythe walking through the backstage area. However,
he stops in his tracks when he comes across former tag team partner and
perennial rival, Bishop Cross. The two stare each other down for several
moments before either says a word.
Scythe: Cross.
Cross: Scythe.
Scythe: I hear you have GI Jew in two weeks when he returns.
Cross: I do.
Scythe: Crush him. But leave just enough of him for me to dispose of when the
time is right.
Cross: I plan on it.
Scythe then turns to exit, but Cross stops him.
Cross: Ever think about coming over to
our side? We’d love to have you.
Scythe: You don’t understand it, do you? You and I are nothing alike, Cross.
You stand for lunacy, for madness. I stand for a cause. It just so happens
that, for once, our causes align, and we are after the same target. It starts
and ends there.
Scythe then exits, but Cross calls back to him.
Cross: You know, Scythe, we’re more alike
than you think.
Scythe does not acknowledge this statement, and instead walks off screen.
The camera shifts back to ringside, where “Footprints” by G-Unit overtakes the
speakers and Showtime Damon Savage emerges to a raucous ovation from the
Hosemann: Listen to the ovation!
Troy: And he deserves this ovation, Scott! Last week,
Showtime pinned the International Champ James Biamonte in near record time!
Hosemann: Let’s hear what he has to say.
Showtime
is now standing in the ring with a microphone.
Showtime: Ever since last week, I’ve had
people saying, Showtime, when are you gonna challenge James Biamonte for the
International title? Well, to those people, I’ve said it goes back way further
than last week. You see, last January, I was screwed out of the International
title that I had fought long and hard to win last year at Revival. Ever since
then, I’ve been tied up with situation after situation that has prevented me
from going after my belt. Well now, that’s all behind me and, Biamonte, I’m
calling you out! I want you, one-on-one, at Revival for the International belt!
Moments
later, “Still Ballin” by 2Pac hits the speakers and
the fans boo as International Champion James Biamonte makes his way to the
ring, alongside Jade. The two enter the ring and stand face-to-face with
Showtime.
Biamonte: You want a
shot at me, Showtime? I can
understand that. But can you understand this? NO. That’s my answer. No title
shot. Thanks.
Biamonte and Jade turn to leave, and the fans boo loudly, but “Chubby Boy”
by Mannie Fresh hits the speakers and the fans cheer
wildly!
Hosemann: Paul Ferrara is in the house!
Commissioner
Paul Ferrara appears at the top of the ramp, microphone in tow.
With
that, the fans cheer, “Chubby Boy” replays, and
Hosemann: That should be a barnburner!
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back
from break, “Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart is blaring over the speakers, and
Dexter P. Wellington is on his way to the ring, accompanied by Winston. Tony
Annetta is standing in the ring, ready for action.
* DEXTER P.
Referee: Jose Soares
Troy:
Alright everybody, welcome back to Frequency. Victor Troy, here with Scott Hosemann, and we now have Dex
Hosemann: Yeah Troy, and
Troy: Who would be, Scott? He finally got back the Progressive Championship 10
days ago at Fallen Souls, only to have his arch rival, the CEO of this company,
Kerry Cox, literally take it from him last Tuesday.
Hosemann: I definitely would hate to be Annetta right now.
Troy: Oh c’mon, that was uncalled for!
Hosemann: I don’t think
Hosemann: I think it’s inevitable, Troy! And when it happens, I’d pay to see
it!
