SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2005 * PEPSI CENTER * DENVER, COLORADO

A graphic reading "earlier today" is shown as we are shown a look of the sunny Pepsi Center parking lot. Within moments, a metallic red Cadillac Escalade pulls into the lot and stops. The door opens and the few fans outside give their own special greetings to Romeo, who ignores them as he approaches the arena and Nick Cade approaches him.

Cade: Romeo, you've just arrived here to the Pepsi Center, where you will take on Greg Tantalus for the PWA Title later tonight. The champion has been on a white-hot streak lately and he is heavily favored here in his hometown. What do you think your chances are?

Romeo: My chances? Let me tell you somethin' stupid. The only reason Greg is "favored" is because this is his hometown. They don't like young black studs like myself around these parts. Just ask Kobe Bryant. But anyway, I don't need the approval of this crowd or any other crowd. They all saw me dominate him in The Elimination Chamber and I just pinned that cat a few weeks back on Frequency. I've got Greg Tantalus' number, and tonight, I'm gonna whup his scrawny ass, take the title back, get back into my car and get the hell outta here. So move out of my way before I use you as a tune-up little man.

Cade steps aside and the number-one contender exits.

The crowd is anxiously awaiting the next match, and "Still Ballin" by 2Pac and Trick Daddy begins to play over the speakers. The fans proceed to jeer for James Biamonte, who ignores the people as he makes his way to the ring. Once Biamonte is settled inside, Palmer proceeds to announce the International Champion, as "Piggy Bank" by 50 Cent hits to bring out Renegade! The confident superstar spares no moments as he marches towards the ring with the belt wrapped firmly around his waist. As soon as he steps into the ring, Renegade climbs onto the turnbuckles and unhooks the belt, showing it off to the crowd. He proceeds to do the same on the other turnbuckles before finally handing it over to the referee, fully intent on getting it back after the match. As soon as the referee is out of the way though, Biamonte blindsides Renegade and pounds him into the corner!

Troy: There's already mayhem in there and the match didn't even start yet!

Ferrara: Biamonte is hungry for that gold, so it's natural that he's going to pull out all the stops against Renegade.

* PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP:  RENEGADE © VS. JAMES BIAMONTE:
Referee:  Jason Church

Renegade is stuffed into the corner with his back facing Biamonte, who tries to lift him for a german suplex, but Renegade clings onto the ropes to prevent that from happening. Biamonte tries once more, but only for the same results. Not to be outdone, Biamonte grabs Renegade by the legs and tears him out of the corner by throwing him high, allowing him to fall flat onto the mat with a thud. Not allowing him a moment to rest, Biamonte peels Renegade off the mat and throws him into the ropes. He swings hard with a huge forearm, but Renegade ducks beneath it and bounces off the opposite side! Biamonte turns around, and he is speared to the ground by Renegade, who begins to pound away at his unprotected face! The fans cheer, but despite that, the International Champion is forced to stop by the referee.

Troy: It's been one huge melee so far.

Ferrara: But with so much on the line, you can bet that it's going up hill from here!

Both men reach their feet at the same time, but it is Renegade who makes the first move. He punches at Biamonte's face with an open fist, but the challenger battles back as well. They trade blows until Renegade blocks a punch and gains the upper hand! However, Biamonte rakes his eyes, and with Renegade left wide open, Biamonte lets loose with an Atomic Drop! Renegade hits the mat, but Biamonte quickly pulls him back up. He launches him into the ropes, this time connecting with a clothesline. The fans boo, and they only increase in volume when Biamonte goes for the pin! One, two, and Renegade quickly kicks out!

Troy: Renegade is still in this!

Biamonte begins to show frustration, and he yanks Renegade off the mat to continuing his onslaught. However, the International Champion will have none of it and breaks out of his grip! Biamonte is stunned as Renegade chops away at his chest, before topping it all off with a vile DDT! Biamonte is furious though, and at length, he rises to his feet. With a running start, Biamonte charges forward, but Renegade takes him off his feet with an arm drag, followed by a second! The challenger goes in for a third, but Renegade lifts him high using his legs before catapulting him hard back down into the mat! Renegade smells blood, and the fans cheer him on!

Troy: Biamonte is out, and Renegade is still standing!

Ferrara: Come on, get up Biamonte!

The International Champion signals out to the crowd, who responds with wild cheers! He patiently waits behind Biamonte, who uses the ropes to pull himself back up to a vertical base. Once Biamonte turns around though, Renegade launches a boot into his stomach! Biamonte doubles over, and Renegade gets him into perfect position for the F-U! Before he can hit it though, he spots a person quickly running down the aisle!

Troy: Who's that?!

Ferrara: That looks like Jade! What's she doing out here?!

Jade quickly gets herself onto the apron, drawing the attention of the referee, and eventually, Renegade, who is unsure of her presence here as is everybody else. However, this allows ample time for Biamonte to escape from Renegade's grasp and land behind the International Champion. Biamonte goes to a knee and hits an unsuspecting Renegade with a low blow that the ref never sees! Renegade hunches over, but Biamonte spins Renegade around and boots him in the stomach, following it up with a perfect Buzzkill! Jade hops off the apron as Biamonte makes the cover, and the referee counts! One! Two! Three!

Troy: No, dammit! Biamonte just stole this one! He hit Renegade with a low blow!

Ferrara: The ref never saw it, Troy! But what we all saw was that Jade came out here!

"Still Ballin" plays once again over the speakers as the crowd boos vehemently. After the referee awards Biamonte the International title, Jade climbs into the ring with him and they celebrate with a kiss! The jeers grow even louder as they stand over a fallen Renegade.

Ferrara: I knew it! James Biamonte and Jade are together now!

Troy: And she just screwed Renegade out of his title!

Ferrara: And more to the point, Biamonte will be a very dangerous Champion with Jade at his side!

 * WINNER VIA PINFALL AND NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION:  JAMES BIAMONTE *

We are taken backstage to the interview area, where Rick Madsen is standing by with Scythe.

Madsen: Scythe, it has been almost a year to the day since you waged a war against Solomon in New York City in your loss of The PWA Championship at Hellbent of 2004. Now, we're here one year later and you are facing the same man. How will you make sure the result isn't the same?

Scythe: That's the big question Rick. Last October, I suffered the biggest loss of my career to Solomon and haven't gotten to reclaim that title since. Right now, I'm focused on regaining the championship and in order to do that, I must go through Solomon here tonight. I understand he has only two losses and is the most dominant competitor to enter a wrestling ring, but none of that renders in my mind tonight. I have only one goal and one focus, and that is to beat Solomon here tonight. Now I could stand here and try to tell the world why I feel I can do it, but that's not my style. I'm Scythe. I don't talk about things. I just do them. So the time for talking is over Rick, its time to put up or shut up, and I have no plans of shutting up, if you know what I mean.

Madsen: I definitely do. Good luck to you.

"Hear Me" by Darkseed suddenly begins to play, and the crowd boos for one of the most hated superstars in Solomon. With the arena in a dark blue light, blue and white pyro fires off from the stage. With Walter Gindin following behind, Solomon appears at the entrance and ominously trudges down the ramp at a steady pace. At length, he climbs onto the apron before stepping into the ring over the top rope. Gindin takes his place outside while Solomon looks out into the crowd, fully prepared to face his adversary for tonight. He does not have to wait long, as Linkin Park's "With You" takes over, and the fans burst into cheers for Scythe! The Modern Day Samurai looks ready to go as he points out to the crowd from the entrance. He swiftly makes his way towards the ring, keeping his eyes on Solomon the entire time.

Troy: We're about to see another battle between Solomon and Scythe!

Ferrara: That's right, Troy. Last year, they tore the house down in New York, only to have Solomon come out on top as the new PWA Champion.

Troy: Solomon said some harsh, but truthful things on Tuesday. Scythe had an hour to beat Solomon at Hellbent last year, and he didn't make one pinfall. I'm not so sure about the comment that Scythe was at the top of his game or not, though.

Ferrara: Well, a win here would put him back on track, but this is Solomon that we're talking about.

* SCYTHE VS. SOLOMON*
Referee:  Jose Soares

Scythe quickly enters the ring and proceeds to remove his ring garb. Once prepared, each man standing in opposite corners stare off at each other, as the referee calls for the bell. It sounds throughout the arena, and both Solomon and Scythe go head first into each other! It initially starts out as a brawl, but they eventually lock up. Solomon shoves Scythe into his corner, and the Samurai pushes himself back up with fire in his eyes. He charges back in and Solomon tries to grab him, but Scythe slips around the monstrous Alaskan and drives him into the mat with a back body drop! Scythe rises to his feet, but is shocked when Solomon does just the same with little effort!

Troy: Solomon's was not even fazed by that!

Ferrara: Even Scythe has to know that it's going to take a lot more than that to keep Solomon down though.

Before Scythe can react, Solomon stampedes forward and runs into Scythe with the whole of his body! Scythe flies back and tumbles out of the ring from the bottom rope. The fans will him on, but things look bleak when Solomon goes on the attack and leaves the ring as well.

Troy: Oh no, it's just like last time!

Ferrara: They're going to tear this place down!

Solomon grabs Scythe by the hair and pulls him off the ground. He gains momentum and tries to whip him into the turnbuckle, but the Modern Day Samurai reverses it and sends Solomon hurling into the steel post! Hitting it with full force, Solomon leans against the post, but he isn't given a moment to breath as a tenacious Scythe drags Solomon by the arm and sends him crashing into the barricade! The referee is counting inside the ring, but Scythe quickly enters and exits to break the count. With Solomon leaning against the barricade, Scythe pummels his exposed head with several punches before pushing the Alaskan back into the ring. Scythe takes a different approach and climbs onto the turnbuckle!

Troy: Scythe looks a little more brutal than normal.

Ferrara: I think it's working! It's that kind of drive that could get him a victory!

Scythe sits atop his perch until Solomon slowly reaches a vertical base. As soon as he turns around, Scythe takes flight with a flying crossbody, but Solomon catches him in midair! Scythe thinks fast, and reverses it by hooking a leg around Solomon's head, before bringing him down with a hurricanrana! Solomon tumbles to the mat, and Scythe scrambles over to hook the leg! One! Two! Solomon launches him off like a rocket!

Ferrara: With authority!

Troy: Scythe will have to do a little better than that!

The Modern Day Samurai sits in utter shock before he pounds the mat, realizing that it will take much more to defeat his rival. Scythe gets Solomon back to his feet, but the Alaskan comes to life and kicks him in the stomach, following it up with a DDT! Solomon is not done though, and he begins to choke the life out of Scythe while he's still on the mat! Half the crowd is booing for this scene, and the other half is trying to cheer Scythe on. The referee forces Solomon to break the hold, so instead, Solomon decides to put him to rest.

Troy: Get up, Scythe! Get up!

Ferrara: If Solomon hits the Deep Freeze, it's all over!

The monstrous Alaskan gets Scythe back up before hoisting him onto his shoulders, but the Samurai uses the momentum to slip out from his grasp! Solomon turns around, but he receives a boot to the stomach, followed by a Flying Dragon from out of nowhere! The fans cheer with excitement!

Troy: Flying Dragon! Solomon never saw it coming!

Ferrara: He hit that with full impact!

Scythe hooks the leg once again! One! Two! Thr-Solomon gets the shoulder up! Scythe looks noticeably agitated, but a gleam in his eye tells the audience what's coming. He drags Solomon to a corner and violently stomps away at his body, before climbing onto the turnbuckles for a second time!

Troy: Scythe is ready to put Solomon away!

Scythe waists no time and takes into the air, allowing his body to smash into Solomon with full impact, completing the Diving Blade! Scythe hooks the leg! One! Two! Yes! Thr-NO! Solomon gets his arm up at the last second!

Ferrara: Unbelievable! What does he have to do to beat Solomon?!

Scythe clutches his head in frustration. He tries to pin Solomon again, but he only receives a two count this time! Running out of patience, Scythe climbs up the turnbuckle once more! However, Solomon is back on his feet before Scythe can take off! Solomon rushes to trap an off guard Scythe on his shoulders! The Modern Day Samurai can't escape, and Solomon hits the Deep Freeze with pure power! Solomon makes the cover! One! Two! Three!

Ferrara: That was a crazy ride, but Solomon picks up the win.

Troy: Take nothing away from Scythe though. He put up one hell of a show, and I'm sure that these fans appreciate it.

Ferrara: But after that performance, Solomon might be next in line for a shot at the PWA Championship.

"Hear Me" booms over the speaker as Solomon takes his leave. He never looks over his shoulder as he walks up the ramp. Scythe, who gets to his knees in the ring, watches as Solomon leaves. The fans cheer for the Modern Day Samurai, but he pounds the mat in fury before leaving the ring himself. With a disgusted look on his face, he doesn't even turn back to acknowledge the audience.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL:  SOLOMON *

The shot cuts backstage to the interview area, where Scott Cornelius is standing by with The PWA Champion.

Cornelius: Greg, you can hear the crowd going crazy for you already. They love you here in Denver, but there is a greater task at hand for you tonight when you put your gold on the line against Da Playboi Romeo. Are you ready?

Tantalus: I have never been more ready for a match in my life Scott. Never before have I been shown this much love by a crowd and a city before. My hometown of Denver is an amazing place to be, and there is definitely no place I would rather be right now. I will go out there and I will not disappoint my hometown crowd. I will not let these fans down. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to put Romeo down and out and make sure that I leave this building still reigning as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Cornelius: Okay Greg, good luck. Guys, take it away.

A video package airs, detailing the events that have transpired between PWA World Heavyweight Champion Greg Tantalus and Da Playboi Romeo, which have led us to tonight's championship battle in the champion's hometown of
Denver, Colorado.

Back at ringside, the attention turns to Lee Palmer.

Palmer: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is scheduled for ONE fall and is for.. the PWA.. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!

At the announcement, the fans begin cheering thunderously. Then, the cheers turn to boos as three D-bombs go off as "And Then What" by Young Jeezy and Mannie Fresh blasts onto the speakers and Da Playboi Romeo begins making his way to the ring.

Palmer: First, coming down the aisle, the challenger, from Atlanta, Georgia, weighing in at 257 pounds, Da Playboi... ROOOOMEOOOO!

Romeo makes his way to the ring with a look of grit and determination on his face as he prepares to challenge for the biggest title in the PWA, a title he has held before.

Troy: Look at the look on Romeo's face, Paul. He's been the PWA Champion before, and tonight, he wants to get to the top of the mountain again.

Ferrara: Of course he does, Troy. Anyone that doesn't want to be the champion is in the wrong business, but Romeo especially wants to get there again. He feels that he wasn't pinned by Tantalus in the Elimination Chamber last month, and he's out tonight to right a wrong.

As Romeo, prepares himself in the ring, the lights go out and "Hey You" by Simon Says explodes onto the speakers, prompting the crowd to let loose with furious cheers!

Palmer: And his opponent, the PWA WORLD.. HEAVYWEIGHT.. CHAMPION... weighing 210 pounds,
Denver, Colorado's own... GREG... TANNNNNTALUSSSSSS!

With that, the champion emerges from behind the curtain and the fans can't help but go absolutely nuts. Tantalus heads into the ring and poses with the belt, taking in the cheers and adulation of the crowd, but Romeo has other ideas, clubbing him down from behind and getting this match started!

Troy: Romeo is ready! Romeo has gone right after the champion!

Ferrara: And that's exactly what he should have done, Troy!

* PWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:  GREG TANTALUS © VS. ROMEO *
Referee:  Tom Stevens

Romeo pounds Tantalus down to the mat early, stomping away on him with vicious boots as the match gets underway. Tantalus tries hard to get to a vertical base, and the fans do their part to rally the champion as well, but Romeo knows exactly what needs to be done and makes things difficult for the champion to do just that. Romeo grabs Tantalus and whips him into the corner, stinging him with repeated knife-edge chops to the chest, chops so hard that the capacity crowd here in Denver looking to root on their favorite son cringes at the impact. After several hard shots, Tantalus staggers forward and Romeo whips him across the ring, into the opposite corner. When Tantalus smashes into the corner, Romeo charges forward and nails him with a hard clothesline. Tantalus stumbles forward, but Romeo uses this opportunity to clothesline him down hard to the mat. While on the ground, Tantalus gets stomped profusely by Romeo, looking to beat him down hard enough that it will be very tough for him to come back later in the match.

Troy: Romeo is being very physical thus far in this match.

Ferrara: He is, Troy, and that's just what he's going to need to be in order to take control of this match. Tantalus is the type of wrestler that can't be put away and is always a risk for a late-match comeback, but if you can take control early and take some of his offensive weapons away, you have a good chance to beat him, at least a better chance than you did.

Romeo locks Tantalus in a leg grapevine, squeezing hard on the leg as Tantalus winces in pain. Romeo then, close to the ropes, takes Tantalus' leg, drapes it over the bottom rope, and comes crashing down hard on it. Romeo then does it again, sending Tantalus through even more excruciating pain. Romeo then drags Tantalus into the middle of the ring and locks him in a figure-four leglock, which puts the world champion in a very precarious position. Tantalus writhes in pain on the mat, trying desperately to reach the ropes to break the hold. Romeo keeps the hold locked in tightly, and Tantalus pounds the mat in frustration. Romeo remains undaunted by the cheering of the crowd, and Tantalus' attempts to reach the ropes. However, as more and more time passes, Tantalus is able to gain more and more momentum and, finally, Tantalus reverses the hold, putting all the pressure on Romeo!

Troy: Look at this! The pressure is on Romeo now!

Ferrara: He needs to get out of this hold right away!

Romeo quickly flees to the ropes and grabs them, causing the hold to be broken. Realizing that Tantalus has the potential to pull off a momentum shift now, Romeo shakes off the pain and immediately springs back to his feet, thrusting a large clothesline at Tantalus. However, the champion ducks under it and begins jabbing Romeo in the jaw with repeated shots! The fans come alive at Tantalus' newfound offense, and the champion doesn't look to disappoint as he rides a wave of momentum.

Troy: I think Tantalus may have just gotten his second-wind!

Ferrara: If he did, Troy, it couldn't have come at a more opportune time!

Tantalus begins pounding away on Romeo, and the fans love it, despite the fact that they are in near disbelief that Tantalus has been able to make the comeback he is making out of seemingly nowhere! Tantalus pounds Romeo in the ropes and whips him against them, taking him down with a monstrous spinebuster as he returns! Tantalus covers... one, two, and Romeo kicks out! Romeo gets to his feet, but Tantalus is ready for him, hitting the ropes and nailing a beautiful high knee! Romeo goes down hard and Tantalus goes to the top rope, which brings the entire arena to its feet!

Troy: He's going up top! My God, Paul, you know what that means!

Ferrara: He's looking for that 450 splash, Troy! If he hits it, this match could be history!

Tantalus goes to the top and leaps off with the 450 splash, and connects with Romeo fully in the center of the ring! The arena comes unglued as Tantalus covers... one, two, thr-but Romeo kicks out!

Troy: He kicked out! He kicked out!

Ferrara: Unbelievable!

The air is let out of the
Pepsi Center as Romeo kicks out, but Tantalus remains undaunted, signaling for the Big O! Tantalus lifts Romeo, looking for the move, but Romeo shoves him off! Then, Romeo lets loose with a savate kick, but Tantalus ducks, forcing the move to connect with the jaw of referee Tom Stevens, who was standing behind Tantalus!

Troy: Oh no! The ref is down!

Ferrara: Business has just picked up now!

Tantalus notices the ref go down, and that distraction is all Romeo needs to land the kick to the side of Tantalus' head, knocking him down. Romeo then exits the ring and grabs the PWA Championship belt, before returning to the ring with it. As the
Denver crowd watches with horror, Romeo plasters Tantalus' head with the title belt, sending him down to the mat in a heap! Romeo tosses the belt aside and signals for Dre Day. He lifts Tantalus up, getting ready to hit the move, but suddenly, The Iceman Jason Calysto storms down to the ring and begins taking the fight to Romeo!

Troy: It's Calysto! It's Jason Calysto!

Ferrara: What the hell is he doing out here?!

Getting revenge for being taken out backstage several weeks ago, Calysto cleans house on Romeo to a huge ovation from the crowd, beating the holy hell out of him with fists of fire, before hitting the ropes and taking him down with a punishing spinning heel kick! Calysto then lifts Romeo up and destroys him with the Icebreaker, before exiting the ring, the fans cheering wildly!

Troy: All three men are down in the ring! It's anyone's match now!

Romeo, Tantalus and the referee all get to their feet at around the same time. Romeo lunges at Tantalus when he rises, but Tantalus blocks his offense, spins him around, boots him in the stomach, and destroys him with the Big O! Tantalus then hooks the leg... one, two, three!

Troy: That's it! Greg Tantalus has done it!

Ferrara: What a victory! Greg Tantalus has retained the PWA Championship!

The
Denver crowd cheers obsessedly as "Hey You" hits the speakers and Tantalus is handed his PWA Championship belt.

Palmer: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and STILL the PWA WORLD.. HEAVYWEIGHT.. CHAMPION... GRRRRRRRREG TANNNNNTAALUSSSSSSSS!

As Romeo leaves in disgust, fireworks boom throughout the
Pepsi Center and confetti falls from the rafters. Tantalus celebrates his ultimate victory with his hometown, raising the belt high amidst the celebration as the cameras fade to black.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL AND STILL PWA CHAMPION:  GREG TANTALUS *
