AMERICA WEST ARENA

PHOENIX, ARIZONA

SEGMENT 8:  BACKSTAGE:
The scene opens backstage as the camera follows Jonathan Brett wheeling Mike Troha through the halls. Troha has his hands clasped together and is wearing a bitter look.

Troha: I can’t wait to get out of this stupid wheelchair. Then I could find Romeo and beat him over the head with it. But as long as I’m sitting here, I’ll need you to handle him for me. I want you to cripple him, Brett. Get Romeo and put him out of action for good!

Brett: I’ll take care of him, so relax a little. Look, we just passed the refreshments stand, so I’ll go back and get you a beer or something, alright?

Troha does not say anything, so Brett decides to head back. The camera closes in on Troha’s pensive face.

Troha: ... I could I drink anything at a time like this. The only thing I want is to get out of this damn chair and find Romeo!

Romeo: Well, you won’t have to get out of the chair to do that.

Troha’s eyes widen and the camera pulls back, revealing Romeo standing behind Troha! Romeo wears an ear-to-ear grin as Troha struggles to look behind himself.

Troha: BRETT! BRETT!!

Romeo: What do you need him for when you got me for company? And besides... That’s a pretty nice ride. Mind if I take it for a spin?

Romeo grabs the wheelchair and abducts Troha, who is screaming bloody murder. Romeo makes it a point to “accidentally” run into walls with the wheelchair as Troha struggles to latch onto anything in an attempt to stop himself, but to no avail. As they turn a corner, Romeo plows into several garbage cans and Troha flails his arms wildly to protect himself from the flying debris as several people jump out of the way of the runaway wheelchair. They run into crates and boxes that fall over, and all the while the air is mixed with Troha’s screams for help and Romeo’s laughter. Romeo takes the wheelchair down a long corridor and picks up speed.

Romeo: This thing is pretty fast! But how is it on the brakes?!

Romeo stops suddenly with a firm grip still on the chair. Troha, however, has nothing to hold onto and is sent flying fifteen feet away from the chair with a blood curdling cry. He slides against the cold ground and Romeo can’t stop laughing. This is, of course, until Brett charges in and tackles Romeo into the wall. The two break out into a furious battle until several officials barge in and stop the fight. The camera closes in on Romeo, who is breathing heavily but is still wearing an elated grin as we head to a commercial break.

SEGMENT 9:  MATCH 4:  THE NATURALS VS. SUPERSTAR SCOTT HOSEMANN & BRIGGS:
Referee:  Billy Vargas

Back from commercial, "Control" by Earshot hits over the speakers and the team of Superstar Scott Hosemann and Briggs makes its way to the ring accompanied by Justin Schenck, Darrin Giles, and a large chorus of boos.

Ferrara:  Troy, Darrin Giles pinned the Progressive Champion Dean Nash earlier tonight in a non-title match, but he did that in spite of that dope Briggs.  He almost blew it.

Troy:  First off, Paul, Briggs had no business even trying to interfere in the match.

Ferrara:  Yeah, well, if you're gonna do something, then do  it right.  Briggs had a job to do, and that was to help soften Nash up for Hosemann at Walking Wounded.  He didn't do his part, and he had better make up for it here and now.

Moments later, Tom Petty's "All or Nothin" hits and Greg Price and Kris Anthony, The Naturals, make their way to the ring to a largely mixed reaction.  The Naturals are not liked by the crowd, but they are seen as the lesser of two evils in this one, and thus some of the
Phoenix crowd is behind them.

As Price and Anthony step into the ring, the bell sounds.  Hosemann requests that Briggs start the match and he obliges.  Price will start for the former Tag Team Champions.  Price and Briggs lock up in the center of the ring, and Briggs quickly shoves him to the mat, so hard that Price slides out of the ring.  Frustrated, Price grabs a chair and enters the ring with it.  At this, Hosemann gets into the ring, standing in his path.  Kris Anthony now gets into the ring as well.  At this, Justin Schenck and Darrin Giles also get inside.  Referee Billy Vargas shouts for order to be restored, but he is ignored.  Price raises the chair, and Briggs says to bring it on, but before that can happen, Scott Hosemann grabs Briggs arms and holds him in place!  Then, with Briggs prone, Price smacks him in the skull with the steel chair!

Troy:  What the hell was that?!

Ferrara:  I think Briggs just got what was coming to him!

Briggs falls to the mat like a tree, but the assault has just begun.  Scott Hosemann, Darrin Giles, Justin Schenck, the Naturals, and a steel chair beat the living hell out of the gargantuan Canadian Briggs, splitting him open and rendering him unable to defend himself.  Billy Vargas tries to stop the assault, but that gets him tossed over the top rope... by Justin Schenck.  Schenck gets a few kicks in on Briggs when he's down and unable to move, and Hosemann, Giles and the Naturals continue to pour it on.

Finally, the Naturals load Briggs' leg into the chair, and Scott Hosemann and Darrin Giles each jump up, both crashing their feet down on the chair, shattering Briggs' leg!  The fans boo raucously as officials hit the ring, and Schenck tells his men to stop.  Schenck, Hosemann, Giles, and the Naturals then all raise each other's hands as "Control" hits and the fans boo intensely.

Ferrara:  I think we have just seen the dawning of a new era, Troy.

Troy:  Paul, this is absolutely despicable!  Damn them all to hell!  (disgusted) We'll be right back!
WINNERS AT 0:36:  NO CONTEST

 SEGMENT 10:  JUMBOTRON:
The Tea Party’s “Walking Wounded” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Walking Wounded Report.”  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O’Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Walking Wounded logo.

O’Brien:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O’Brien and this is the Walking Wounded report.  On Saturday night, September 25th, the PWA will return to pay-per-view with our September pay-per-view spectacular, Walking Wounded.  The event will emanate from the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California, and is sure to be a scorcher!  With just four days to go until the broadcast, as of this morning, all eight matches for the show have been announced, and they are as follows:

SEGMENT 11:  BACKSTAGE:
A camera cuts up to a skybox in The America West Arena, where Natasha Vydrina is sitting at a table, flanked by a team of 3 lawyers, each with a briefcase. As they wait, the door opens and “Not That” Rodney King enters, followed closely by Showtime Damon Savage and holding a briefcase of his own. Both men take seats across the table and stare intently at Vydrina.

Vydrina: Well gentlemen, I have given you two weeks to ponder my ultimatum. What will it be?

King: Listen here-

Savage: (Cuts him off) I got this Rod. I thought about your offer and…I accept the deal. Your payment is in the briefcase.

King: Showtime, why –

Savage: Rodney, I got this man!

Vydrina: Excellent. Mr. Savage, I knew you were a smart business man. It was a pleasure to…what is this?!

The camera swirls around quickly as Natasha pulls out a sheet of paper, which is revealed as an autographed 8”x10” picture of Showtime!

Vydrina: I asked for $10 million!

Savage: I know, that there is a collector’s item. That’s a picture of Showtime baby, they don’t come cheap. It’s worth at least $20 million on the black market!

Vydrina: Is this your idea of a joke?! Let’s go! You two will be very sorry for this!

Vydrina storms out of the room and her lawyers follow

Savage: Oh well, can’t say I didn’t offer.

SEGMENT 12:  MATCH 5:  PWA CHAMPION SCYTHE, JAGUAR, AND GI JEW VS. SOLOMON, TONY ANNETTA, AND INFERNUS:
Referee:  Matt Hansen

The crowd is buzzing for main event action as Slipknot’s “Opium of The People” booms through the arena. With a huge ovation to greet him, GI Jew rides his custom motorcycle down to the ring and rolls inside. As he salutes the crowd and prepares for combat, “I Got That Fire” by Juvenile and Mannie Fresh begins and an even bigger pop comes for Jaguar as he steps out from the curtain. He poses in front of his fiery fireworks as they explode and climbs into the ring to give a pound to Jew before posing on the turnbuckles. It doesn’t take long for Linkin Park’s “With You” to take over and the biggest ovation of the three to welcome Scythe into the arena. The World Heavyweight Champion looks pumped up and ready for action as he poses in front of his huge fire cannons and hops into the ring.

Troy: This is an interesting team. Jaguar has been longtime friends with each of these men, so if he leads this team, things should go along fine between the three.

Ferrara: Maybe, but their opponents have been a tandem for almost a year now and they are very smooth in the ring. If you as me, these guys are the underdogs here, even if the World Champ is on their team.

As the trio waits in the ring and talk strategy, Darkseed’s “Hear Me” booms through the building and boos pour in for Solomon, Tony Annetta and Infernus as Walter Gindin leads them down the ramp and to the ring.

Troy: I’ve got an interesting fact Paul. The last time Solomon and GI Jew were in the same ring here at The America West Arena, it was at last year’s Walking Wounded against The Hot Boy$ in a TLC match for the Tag Team Titles. Even though they teamed up that night, Jaguar and GI Jew unhooked the belts on opposite to become the unsuspecting champions in a match of the year candidate. Now here we are a year later and Solomon and GI Jew will now meet at Walking Wounded, in a Hell In A Cell match.

Ferrara: I know I’ve said this before, but look at the difference a year could make. These guys are gonna end up killing each other in there and they were partners a year ago.

Gindin’s group climbs into the ring and stares down their opponents until Matt Hansen separates the trios and calls for the bell. Annetta is left in the ring against GI Jew and they are ready to lock up when “F*ckin’ In The Bushes” by Oasis begins and Jason Calysto appears!

Troy: It’s The Iceman!

Ferrara: What is he doing out here now? He’s not in this match!

Troy:  Paul, we announced he’d be in their corner at the top of the show!

Ferrara:  Oh yeah.

Calysto steps out in street clothes and calmly steps down the ramp and towards the ring. Annetta never takes his eyes off of Calysto as he simply stops at the ring apron, allowing GI Jew to roll him up for a quick 1---2---and Annetta barely escapes in time!

Troy: It looks like Jason Calysto will be in the corner of Jaguar, Scythe and GI Jew, but this match almost ended before it began!

Ferrara: Annetta needs to keep his focus in there!

Both men get up and Jew goes to work on Annetta, sending him down with two clotheslines before irish whipping him to the ropes and nailing a powerslam on his return! Jew covers for a count of two and the crowd pops as he makes a tag to Scythe.

Scythe steps into the ring and kicks Annetta hard in the midsection before connecting with a stiff chop to the chest that sends him down. Annetta tries to regroup as Scythe grabs him and he does so with a rake to the eyes. With Scythe temporarily blinded, Annetta sends him to the mat with a clothesline and tags in Infernus.

The former International Champion quickly climbs up to the top rope and waits on Scythe’s arising. Scythe stumbles as he reaches his feet and Infernus springs off to blast the champion with a bulldog headlock from the top! Infernus quickly covers for one…two…and Scythe gets an arm off the mat as he kicks out.

Troy: That was a big move by Infernus, I’m surprised he didn’t get Scythe right there.

Ferrara: He’s beaten Scythe before and if he stays on him right here, he can do it again.

Scythe seeks refuge in a corner, but Infernus doesn’t let up as he stomps him over and over while still down. Hansen gets in between to break it up, but Infernus shoves the ref aside and charges at Scythe, only to be greeted with two boots to the face! The blow stands up a wobbly Infernus, but he is quickly taken down by a spinning heel kick from the corner that brings a grin to The Iceman’s face!

Troy: Scythe needs to make a tag right now!

The camera catches a look of desperation in the eyes of Scythe as he inches towards the outstretched hand of Jaguar, who is equally wanting of the switch. Scythe is close, but Annetta rushes around the other end to blindside Calysto and sweep Jaguar off the apron to the floor! Jew drops down to battle Annetta, leaving Scythe with nowhere to turn!

Gindin joins in the fray on the outside, stomping Jaguar and Calysto while Annetta and Jew trade fists. Inside the ring, Infernus makes a lunging tag to Solomon, who steps over the top rope and waits on Scythe to rise. Scythe gets to his feet to find his corner empty and turns to catch a boot to the gut and a big Deep Freeze from Solomon! The Alaskan Monster covers for one…two…three!

Troy: Solomon has just beaten Scythe!

Ferrara: With just one move, Solomon has beaten the World Heavyweight Champion again!

Troy: His partners got taken out by that low-life Tony Annetta!

Ferrara: Either way, Jaguar was gonna get the tag from Scythe and he wasn’t there for him when it came, allowing Scythe to be easy prey for Solomon!

Solomon exits the ring and Gindin rounds up his troops to leave while Jaguar looks at the fallen champion, wondering what happened to his partner.

Ferrara: Look, Jaguar has no idea what happened!

Troy: These two are gonna explode this Saturday. We’re outta time folks, we’ll see you at Walking Wounded!
