MELLON ARENA
SEGMENT 1: INTRODUCTION:
A video package airs, highlighting the press conference
that concluded last week’s show, with Jaguar being named number one contender
to Scythe’s PWA Championship, with a title match scheduled for September 25 at
Walking Wounded. We see the clip of
Jaguar being attacked by TFU at the close of the announcement, only for Scythe
himself to run out for the save. The
opening credits then roll as
Ferrara: That will be an absolutely
MONSTROUS match Troy, but that isn’t all we have tonight. Two championships will be on the line, as
Dynamite Dean Nash gives former Progressive Champion Showtime Damon Savage his
rematch, and Paul Dawkins and Jackie Baccaro will defend the tag straps against
Infernus and Tony Annetta!
SEGMENT 2: MATCH
1: PWA PROGRESSIVE CHAMPIONSHIP: DYNAMITE DEAN NASH © VS. SHOWTIME DAMON
SAVAGE:
Referee:
Billy Vargas
G-Unit’s “Footprints” is the first to play, and the crowd
responds vehemently to the former Progressive Champion, Showtime Damon Savage.
He appears from behind the curtain with “Not That” Rodney King following
closely behind. King is offering last minute tips, pumping up Showtime for his
return as the Champion again. Showtime climbs into the ring and poses for the
crowd while King stays on the outside. The sounds of “Spitfire” by The Prodigy
bring out the new Progressive Champion, Dean Nash, to a welcome ovation. Nash
heads down the aisle to cheers of the Mellon Arena audience. After sliding into
the ring, Nash removes the belt from around his waist and holds it high for the
crowd to see. Nash hands the Progressive belt to the referee and stares at
Showtime, who is anxious to get this match started.
Ferrara: I think Showtime can win it here,
Showtime is quick to attack, starting things off with a big knee to the gut
that doubles Nash over. Showtime wraps an arm around the back of Nash’s head
and goes for a DDT, but Nash pushes Showtime hard enough to bounce him into the
ropes. Nash swings hard as Showtime returns, but the former Progressive
Champion ducks it and bounces against the opposite ropes. This proves futile
though, as Nash replies with a shoulder block that sends Showtime to the mat.
Nash gains momentum by bouncing off the ropes. He leaps into the air and scores
with a big leg drop that makes Showtime writhe on the mat. Nash lifts up
Showtime by the head and tucks his arms around Showtime’s torso for a back
suplex, but Showtime counters with an elbow to the gut to escape his clutches.
Showtime turns and latches onto Nash, and in once swift move, plants Nash into
the mat with a side suplex.
Showtime raises his arms and the crowd boos. He continues his assault on
Nash by lifting him up as King shouts his orders from the outside. Showtime
swings Nash over his shoulder to go for a shoulder breaker, but before Showtime
can pull off the move, Nash slips out behind Showtime and shoves him hard into
the corner. Showtime hits it hard and stumbles backwards while clutching his
chest. Nash seizes the opportunity and goes down, rolling Showtime up tight!
Showtime flails, and the referee hits the mat three times!
Showtime rolls out of the ring in disbelief as King goes to console him.
Dean Nash is given his belt, and the crowd cheers for him as The Prodigy’s
“Spitfire” plays for the Progressive Champion. He lifts the belt up over his
head, but he is knocked down hard by Superstar Scott Hosemann! Hosemann
continues to attack Nash and the referee tries desperately to pry Hosemann off.
The camera fades on this despicable scene as we go to a commercial.

SEGMENT 3: BACKSTAGE:
The camera is taken backstage and into Bryan Conroy and Kerry Cox’s
office, where it finally settles on Mike Grieco, who is sitting at ease in the
sofa and relaxing.
Conroy: Mike, we called you in here because-
Grieco: Oh, I know why you called me in.
Conroy: ... You do, huh?
Grieco: Yeah! With Failla suspended from the PWA, there’s no number one
contender to my belt! Not that it matters, because I can kick his ass any day.
Cox: (Muttering off to the side) That’s partially true...
Grieco: So with no number one contender, I have the night off for Walking
Wounded, right?
Conroy: Actually-
Grieco: Thanks guys, I can use the small break. Maybe I’ll just kick back at
the hotel room for a little while.
Conroy: Speed Demon and Infernus will be having a match next week.
Grieco: A couple of beers, maybe a visit to some of the bars...
Conroy: The winner will be named the new number one contender to challenge for
your belt at Walking Wounded.
Grieco: And... what?
Conroy: ... Just come to Walking Wounded.
Cox snickers as the crowd cheers for this announcement. The scene fades on
Grieco’s puzzled face.
SEGMENT 4: MATCH 2:
DAMIEN FIELDS VS. JON DULBERG:
Referee:
Jason Church
The camera cuts back to ringside, where "Come With
Me" by P. Diddy blasts onto the speakers and the
Troy: You know Paul, ever since Dulberg went down with that injury
several months back, his entire attitude has changed.
Dulberg settles in the ring, awaiting his opposition. He doesn't wait
long, however, as Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" quickly overtakes
the speakers and hot young rookie Damien Fields makes his way to the ring to a
very positive reaction. Fields, knowing that he has a tremendous
opportunity in front of him, wastes little time getting into the ring, and immediately
takes the fight to Jon Dulberg, prompting the bell to sound.
Troy: This is
a big match for both competitors, Paul.
Fields gets the hot start on Dulberg, pounding him back into the ropes. With Dulberg back there, Fields lets loose with some furious knife-edge chops that sting Dulberg. Dulberg, however, doesn't allow Fields to keep the advantage for long, quickly reversing the momentum and sending Fields into the corner. Dulberg then hits Fields with an array of his own brand of chops, stinging the newcomer hard. Fields stumbles away from the corner, and Dulberg responds, hitting him with a big belly-to-belly suplex.
With Fields on the mat, Dulberg begins stomping him furiously, not letting him get to his feet. Dulberg locks Fields in a leg grapevine, and the rookie screams in pain, but the Human Highlight cinches the hold in tightly. Finally, Fields gets to the ropes, forcing Dulberg to break the hold.
Fields then gets to his feet, and Dulberg pounds away with
furious rights and lefts, but Fields begins making a comeback, blocking
Dulberg's shots and nailing his own! Fields shoves Dulberg against the
ropes, but as Dulberg comes back, he stops short and lifts Fields for the Play
of the Day! However, Fields slips out and goes for the Diamond
Cutter! Fields nearly lands the move, but Dulberg backs out of it, lets
Fields crash down to the mat, and then pounces on him, locking in the 7th
Inning Stretch!
Fields struggles mightily in the hold, reaching down with everything he's got, trying desperately to make it to the ropes. However, after about 20 seconds, Fields can stand no more and taps out.
The fans boo as "Come With Me" plays again and Dulberg is declared
the winner. However, after the match, Dulberg continues pounding on
Fields, just for good measure. Dulberg shoves referee Jason Church to the
mat and looks to lock on the stretch again, but before he can do so, The Omega
Steve Beovich rushes down to the ring with a steel chair! Beovich darts
into the ring and swings the chair at Dulberg, but the Human Highlight quickly
bails! With the crowd cheering, Beovich picks up a mic.
Beovich: You
like to beat on people when they can't defend themselves? Well try doing
that to me in a fair fight. Dulberg, you wanna make me the scapegoat for
your injury? Then do something about it. You and me, one-on-one at
Walking Wounded.
As the fans continue cheering, Dulberg nods his head, in acceptance of the challenge. The two then commence a staredown as we cut to commercial.

SEGMENT 5: BACKSTAGE:
Back from commercial, we are taken backstage to a dressing room containing superagent Walter Gindin and his associates Solomon, Tony Annetta, Infernus, and Jade. Solomon is standing in the corner of the room, silent, and Jade is lurking in the background as Gindin gives Annetta and Infernus a pep talk.
Gindin:
Gentlemen, tonight is your night. Tonight, you two step into the ring
against Paul Dawkins and Jackie Baccaro, and tonight, when all is said and
done, you will be the new Tag Team Champions. Infernus, we already found
out that next week, it's going to be you against Speed Demon for the
Walking Wounded International title shot, but tonight, it's all about the tag
titles. Tonight, it's all about Dawkins and Baccaro. And gentlemen,
tonight, it's all about bringing gold to this camp. It's time.
Let's go.
Pumped up, Infernus and Annetta follow Gindin out of the room, leaving Solomon and Jade behind, heading to the ring.

6: MATCH 3: PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: PAUL DAWKINS & JACKIE BACCARO © VS.
INFERNUS & TONY ANNETTA:
Referee: Jose Soares
The shot cuts back to
the ring area, where "The Mirror" by Dream Theater plays Tony Annetta
and Infernus to the ring. Walter Gindin leads the challengers to a loud series of
boos and gives them some last minute words of advice as Sevendust's
"Black" begins. With a huge ovation setting the stage for their
entrance, Paul Dawkins and Jackie Baccaro step onto the stage sporting their
championship belts tightly around their waists.
Gindin:
And it should. Infernus has been a tag champion before and both of these guys
have held the International Championship. These guys can get the job done,
especially with Walter Gindin out there.
The champions climb
into the ring and hand their belts to Jose Soares as he calls for the bell.
Dawkins hits the ropes and locks up with Annetta in the middle of the ring.
Dawkins quickly locks on a side headlock and takes Annetta down to the mat. He
pulls back on it, but Annetta breaks it by using his free leg for a kick to the
back.
Annetta clubs Dawkins in
the same spot before softening up his back with a snap suplex. He floats over
for the ref to count to a quick two and Dawkins kicks out. Annetta makes a tag
to Infernus, who charges in, only to get a stiff clothesline from Dawkins!
A tag to Baccaro follows
and the rookie of the year clubs Infernus in the back before whipping him to
the ropes. Baccaro tosses Infernus up for a flapjack, but the lightweight
superstar shifts his weight and stuns Baccaro with a dropkick to the face!
Infernus tags Annetta
back in just as Baccaro gets to his feet. Annetta dizzies Baccaro with two
right hands and tries an Irish whip, but Baccaro reverses it and blasts him
with a huge belly-to-belly suplex!
Baccaro gets to his
feet and signals for his running forearm smash before setting himself up near
the ropes. Annetta gets up dazed and Baccaro charges, but he's tripped up from
behind by Gindin! Dawkins runs out to chase him as Baccaro gets up and walks
right into The TommyGun Spinebuster!
Annetta makes a cover
and Soares counts to two as Annetta is drilled from behind by a steel chair from
Jason Calysto!
Calysto wallops Annetta
again in the back as Gindin and Infernus hop onto the ring apron. Infernus
tries to climb in, but backs off as Calysto swings the chair in his direction.
Annetta gets to his feet groggy, and Calysto finishes him off by drilling him
right in the head with the steel!
Ferrara:
They started this with Jason Calysto last week, but The Iceman is taking no
prisoners here!
Calysto tosses the
chair to the canvas as a dozen PWA officials storm the ring and The Iceman
points at Gindin and smirks before making his exit to a huge amount of cheers.

7: BACKSTAGE:
The camera quickly cuts backstage, where we see Romeo walking through the halls. As he continues walking, he stops in his tracks and begins laughing. The camera then pans around to show us what Romeo was laughing at, and we see it: The Miracle Mike Troha sitting angrily in a wheelchair, blocking Romeo's path.
Romeo:
Shouldn't you be home recovering? Better yet, shouldn't you be somewhere
with your boy Kenny G?
Troha: Very
funny. Romeo, you put me in this wheelchair, and I'm gonna dedicate the
rest of my life to doing the same to you.
Romeo: Good
luck with that sitting in that chair.
Troha: I
appreciate that, but I won't be needing any luck.
Suddenly, Romeo is attacked from behind by Jonathan Brett! Brett throws Romeo head first into a concrete wall in the backstage area, splitting Romeo open and sending him crumbling to the ground! With Romeo bleeding, Brett repeatedly kicks him hard in the spine, leaving Da Playboi writhing in pain. Officials storm over at this point, trying to get Brett away from Romeo and tend to the fallen Playboi. Amidst all this, Brett stands, face of stone, and Troha smiles, laughing maniacally.
Troha: Romeo,
I'd like to introduce you to my new insurance policy, Jonathan Brett. And
Romeo, while I might not be able to personally confine you to a wheelchair,
this man certainly can.
Ferrara: What
does this mean for tonight's main event?!
Troha and Brett then exit as we take a commercial break.
