CONTINENTAL AIRLINES ARENA

EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY

SEGMENT 9:  BACKSTAGE:

The camera is backstage, where Traci Reed is standing by with Lauren Tantalus.

Traci:  I’m here with the Women’s Champion Lauren Tantalus, and Lauren, it is now official.  In 18 days at Everlasting Epic, you will defend that Women’s Championship against Camieko.  How do you feel about that?

Lauren:  Well Traci, of course, I have a great deal of respect for Camieko.  She’s put me through a lot of punishment in the matches we’ve had against each other already, and I expect just as tough a fight from her at Everlasting Epic.  But make no mistake about it.  I will win.  I didn’t get to this point by…

Lauren then trails off as Greg Tantalus and Hollywood Mike Griffin walk onto the interview set, smiling.

Tantalus:  Traci, why are you wasting your time interviewing her?  Everyone knows the women’s division is a joke.  If you want to interview her about anything, ask her the only question that matters tonight.  In fact, I’ll do it for you.  Lauren, where is Vulture?  I heard you three weeks ago.  You said Vulture would be here tonight at the Meadowlands.  And I want to deal with this now, not in the middle of my damn world title match tonight.

Lauren:  I bet you’d love for me to tell you, wouldn’t you?

Griffin:  Lauren, I suggest you do what he says, he’s not in the best of moods right now.

Lauren:  And I suggest you stay the hell out of my business Griffin.  For your information, both of you, Vulture is not here… yet.  But he will be.  That’s a guarantee.  And if I were you, I wouldn’t piss me off.  I don’t think Vulture would appreciate that too much.

Tantalus:  Well Lauren, have it your way.  But know this:  if Vulture gets involved in my match tonight, I’m going to cripple him at Everlasting Epic.

Lauren:  As you wish.  If you’re so sure you can pull it off, be my guest.  But I wouldn’t count on it.

Tantalus:  What’s that supposed to mean?

Lauren:  You’ll see.

With that, Lauren walks off, and Griffin and Tantalus are left pondering the situation.

Griffin:  Is she serious?

Tantalus:  Nah.  That’s a total bluff.

Griffin:  Are you sure.

Tantalus: … No.

SEGMENT 10:  BACKSTAGE:
A camera cuts backstage, where Rudy Montenora is preparing for his upcoming match when Anthony Failla walks in. A long staredown commences between the two until Montenora breaks the silence.

Montenora: Any reason you came in here?

Failla: Look Rudy, you and me, we've got a long history. We ain't never gonna be friends.

Montenora: After all the time I spent fighting against you in CAW a few years ago, you can bet that.

Failla: But the reason I'm here right now is to make sure we're on the same page tonight. We've got Mike Grieco and Jon Brett and we have got to get this done if we're gonna beat them at Everlasting Epic. So do you have my back tonight or not?

Montenora: As long as you've got my back out there, I've got yours.

The two nod to each other and head out the door for the ring as we head to a commercial break.

SEGMENT 11:  MATCH 4:  ANTHONY FAILLA & RUDY MONTENORA VS. JONATHAN BRETT & INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION MIKE GRIECO:
Referee:  Billy Vargas

Jonathan Brett steps out onto the ramp, and begins his long usual stalk toward the ring.  He is unaware of the crowd's intensely negative reaction to him, as his only focus tonight is to quench his thirst for causing pain.  PWA International Champion Mike Grieco comes out next, and joins Brett in the ring with Dee Licious on his arm, multiplying the fervor of the boos from the fans.  "Lose Yourself" then hits, and Rudy Montenora steps out onto the stage for a raucous ovation.  He makes his way to the ring, and eagerly waits at the bottom of the ramp.

Ferrara:  Wow, not even hotshot Montenora is dumb enough to go it alone against those two.

Troy:  Yeah, but it's not like he has much of a help on the way.

Anthony Failla then makes his entrance, and receives a raucous ovation as he takes his time getting down the ramp.  However, halfway to the ring, he does something extremely uncharacteristic, and breaks into a run.  He blows past his partner Montenora, completely ignoring him in an obviously deliberate way, as he rushes the ring, and commences switching off blows at both Brett and Grieco.  Failla is successful for a few moments, until Brett kicks him in the gut, and throws him out of the ring.  Montenora then enters the ring and the bell rings.

Montenora and Grieco run at each other, and Grieco is about to throw a forearm, but Montenora slides right through Grieco's legs, and leaps up into a huge drop kick as Grieco turns around.  However, Grieco manages to sidestep it, and Montenora lands belly down on the mat.  Grieco attempts to capitalize, but Montenora springs off the momentum of the landing and mule kicks Grieco in the face!  Grieco stumbles back into the corner, and Montenora quickly capitalizes with a big splash in the corner!  Montenora then hits a small package!

Troy:  Montenora, absolutely lighting up the PWA International Champion!

Dee screams on the outside as the brawl between Failla and Brett rages toward her.  Meanwhile in the ring, the referee counts one, barely a two, and Grieco kicks out in a fury, launching Montenora into the corner.  Montenora bounces out of it, and lunges forth with the Superkick out of nowhere!  However, Grieco catches Montenora's foot, spins him around, and then both men clothesline each other!  Failla and Brett meanwhile finally find their places on the apron, as Grieco and Montenora are both sent slowly crawling toward their corners.

The tags are simultaneously made, and the earlier brawl on the outside continues in the middle of the ring, as both massive men mercilessly maul one another.  At great length, neither man gains the advantage, and the crowd begins a chant for Failla.  Out of nowhere Failla ducks a swing, and lifts Brett into position for the Almighty Sacrifice!  Brett quickly pushes off of it, and scoops Failla up for the tombstone!  However, Failla slips behind Brett, catches his neck on the way down, and then snaps him down to the mat with a tremendous inverted DDT!

Troy:  This may be the beginning of the end!

Ferrara:  What?!  For who?!

Failla locks in a tight cover and the referee counts one, two, but then Grieco rushes into the ring to break the count!  Montenora is there to meet him, but he gets leveled by a vicious Grieco clothesline!  Failla gets off of Brett, breaking the count, and then sets up Grieco for the Almighty Sacrifice!  Failla has Grieco in position, but then Brett gets up off the mat and smashes Failla in the back with a double axe handle!  Grieco slumps off to safety, as Brett turns Failla around, and blasts him with the Samoan Driver!  He covers, and the referee counts one, two, yes three!

Troy:  What?!  What?!  How can this be!  That damn Grieco!

Ferrara:  What?!  Grieco didn't tell Failla to get up off of Brett and try to give him the Almighty Sacrifice!  What do you mean, that damn Grieco?  Besides, Montenora offset him.

Troy:  Oh yeah, like Montenora was really looking to help out his partner Failla, because you know, they're just best friends aren't they.

Brett and Grieco quickly retreat as Montenora and Failla share a bitter staredown with each other, the crowd booing fervently around them.
WINNERS VIA PINFALL AT 6:01:  JONATHAN BRETT & MIKE GRIECO

SEGMENT 12:  JUMBOTRON:
A video vignette airs, showing The Iceman Jason Calysto training in the Netherlands.  Calysto appears to be unshaven and drenched in sweat as his trainer stands by him, Calysto performing every physical task asked of him.  The minute-long training montage, set to Calysto’s theme music, concludes with a video graphic reading “Calysto vs. Machine, The Final War, Philadelphia Street Fight, Everlasting Epic III – Something’s Gotta Give.”

SEGMENT 13:  RINGSIDE:

Bon Jovi’s “Bounce” leads Justin Schenck to the ring, followed by Scott Hosemann, briggs, and Reaper. Schenck is looking particularly disturbed. The four men enter the ring while the crowd attempts to boo them out of it. Schenck grabs a microphone from the side and doesn’t bother to wait of the crowd to quiet down.

Schenck: Alright, shut up! I’m only here to address one man tonight, and that man is you, Reaper!

Hosemann and Briggs take their spots and stand behind Schenck, leaving Reaper alone on the other side. He stares at Schenck with unwavering eyes.

Schenck: You’re an embarrassment to this group! Last week, you lost your match to Damien Fields, and he should’ve been an easy stepping stone on our path to greatness! You don’t even realize how far this puts us back!

Reaper goes and grabs another microphone. He stares at Schenck for a few moments before speaking.

Reaper: The kid just got lucky. It was just ONE match, and it won’t-

Schenck: Save it, Reaper! I don’t even want to hear it. Just apologize for that embarrassment and I might forgive you.

Reaper: ...You want me to apologize?

Schenck: That’s right.

Reaper offers a long, cold stare before getting into Schenck’s face. Reaper towers over Schenck and looks down at him.

Reaper: And what are you going to do if I don’t?

Schenck: If you won’t apologize, then you leave me no choice. You’re fired from this group!

A three-on-one beat down follows, and Hosemann, Briggs, and Schenck all kick Reaper as he’s down. The audience is quick to boo at this display of betrayal, but it changes to cheers when Damien Fields rushes out from the back! He slides into the ring and briefly holds his own, but is no match for three men. Fields is soon overpowered and all seems lost, but Dulberg and Beovich race to the ring! Briggs and Hosemann take a swing at the incoming duo, but they easily dodge it and clothesline Schenck’s group out of the ring! Schenck makes a hasty retreat and flees up the ramp and Dulberg and Beovich stand tall in the ring as the audience offers a hero’s welcome.

Ferrara: It’s Dulberg! What’s he doing back?!

Troy: It looks Dulberg is back to wrestle in the PWA! He seems perfectly ready to team up with Steve Beovich and face Scott Hosemann and Briggs at Everlasting Epic 3!

Ferrara: This is NOT good news for Hosemann and Briggs!

Troy: But coming up next is Scythe and Greg Tantalus going head to head for the PWA World Heavyweight Championship! We’ll be right back!

SEGMENT 14:  MATCH 5:  PWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:  SCYTHE © VS. GREG TANTALUS:
 Referee:  Tom Stevens

The "Smooth" Greg Tantalus that most fans have known over the course his career is nowhere to be seen tonight.  He brushes through the curtain, and the momentum of his walk indicates that he has walked with this kind of determination all the way from his dressing room door.  His head hangs low, and the usual smirk is absent from his face.  He is once again serious about the PWA World Heavyweight Championship that he had once held before.  Tantalus ignores the reaction of the crowd, climbs into the ring, and stands at the ready for the world champion.

"With You" by Linkin Park then explodes over the Continental Airlines Arena sound system, as the East Rutherford crowd goes berserk for the arrival of the PWA World Heavyweight Champion, the modern day samurai, Scythe.  Scythe has donned his most extravagant entrance regalia, as it is clear that he takes his challenger as dead seriously as his challenger takes this opportunity tonight.  Scythe climbs into the ring, and quickly sheds his entrance attire, eager to put an end to his opponent's anticipation.  The referee calls for the bell.

Troy:  You know, I think of what Scythe was like the first time I saw him in PWA.

Ferrara:  He's a different man now, TroyHe's about to have a dead even legit contest with the likes of Greg Tantalus, in which Tantalus is his challenger.

Tantalus and Scythe circle about briefly, before locking up hard in the center of the ring.  Tantalus quickly takes Scythe over into a headlock on the mat, but Scythe just as quickly scissors his legs around Tantalus's head and presses his shoulders down to the mat.  Tantalus kicks up and out onto his feet before the referee can even get into position.  Scythe closes in but Tantalus catches him for a hip toss.  Scythe attempts to counter by jumping through to a hip toss of his own, but Tantalus blocks it, and turns Scythe's head like a screw.

Tantalus attempts a neckbreaker counter here, but Scythe scouts the momentum and continues turning until both men are back into a neutral position.  However, Tantalus catches him here with a kick to the gut, and immediately locks him into position for the Big O!  The crowd gasps as he elevates Scythe, but Scythe lands behind him, and on the way down locks his legs under Tantalus's arms, rolling him up!  The referee counts one, barely a two, and Tantalus kicks out so hard it launches Scythe over the top rope and onto the arena floor.

Ferrara:  If this were another battle royal, Tantalus would have won again.

Troy:  Yes, but it's not.

Scythe rises, but Tantalus then slingshots himself over the top rope, tackling Scythe down to the concrete!  Tantalus then tosses Scythe headlong towards the steel steps, and the impact is fierce.  The crowd boos as Tantalus calmly then peels Scythe off of the steel and rolls him into the ring.  With Scythe in pain on the mat, Tantalus takes to the top rope for the 450 Splash, pulling no punches.  However, Scythe springs to his feet, and awkwardly launches Tantalus off of his perch in desperation!  Tantalus blindly ends up leveling the referee by accident!

Tantalus's impact with the mat brings out the presence of Mike Griffin, whose appearance yields much loathing from the fans.  Scythe climbs to the top for the Diving Blade, but
Griffin shoves him off of his perch.  Griffin then climbs into the ring, and he and Tantalus commence with the Hart Attack.  The Hart Attack receives a mixed reaction of sorts, but before Tantalus can even cover, the lights go out.  The crowd goes wild, as they come up, on Vulture in the ring with a bat.  Vulture takes the bat to Griffin and lays him out.  He then swings it at Tantalus.

Ferrara:  What?!

Troy:  Right, like that situation didn't need an equalizer.

Tantalus ducks it, kicks him in the gut, and sets him up for the Big O, but Vulture reverses into the Crimson Sunset in one fluid motion!  Griffin rolls out of the ring, as Vulture escapes through the crowd.  Scythe comes to, having no idea what has just happened, and instinctively climbs to the top for the Diving Blade!  He performs the move, and as the referee comes to, he covers for the one, two, yes three!  Scythe retains his title!  "With You" hits, and a slightly confused, but grateful celebration commences.  With TFU still down, the camera fades to black.
