A
video package airs, highlightings events that closed last week's broadcast,
with Jaguar defeating GI Jew to conclude the first-ever World Wrestling Classic
and earn a shot at Romeo's ORA Championship at Everlasting Epic IV, only for
Romeo and Bryan Conroy to attack him. Kerry Cox came to his aid, but fell
victim to a hellacious Dre Day powerbomb as the show concluded. From
there, we are sent inside
Ferrara: That's
right,
Ferrara:
And also tonight, we will see the official announcement of who will be
in the Progressive Entertainment Hall of Fame Class of 2005!
Suddenly,
Metallica's "Sad But True" overtakes the
speakers and the fans begin booing loudly as the owner of the PWA, Bryan
Conroy, makes his way out to the ring, accompanied by the vivacious ORA
president Helen Summers and his right-hand man, Lt. Commissioner F. Anthony
Annnetta. Conroy grabs a microphone and
steps into the ring, his posse in tow.
Conroy: First off, let me take this opportunity to
welcome you all to Frequency. I'm sure
you all enjoyed my creation last week, the World Wrestling Classic, as well as
I'm sure that you enjoyed what Romeo and myself did to Jaguar and Kerry Cox
afterwards. It comes with the territory,
gentlemen. Cross us, and pay the
price. Jaguar, you simply have the
unfortunate burden of challenging for a title the administration doesn't want
you to have, and Kerry, Kerry my friend, you were simply put in your
place. I would like nothing more than to
rid you from this company completely and take back full control, so since I
can't, I can put you in your place every chance I get. Now, onto more important
things. Last week, it was
promised that we would have announcements regarding the locations of the
Everlasting Epic IV main events. That is
what I am out here to announce.
Headlining Lokomotiv Stadium in
Suddenly,
"War Machine" by KISS blasts onto the speakers and the fans begin
cheering loudly as PWA Commissioner Kerry Cox makes his way to the ring,
microphone in tow. Cox appears very
serious as he steps into the ring.
Cox: You know
Conroy: Absolutely. I'll accept your resignation effective immediately.
Cox: No
Conroy: Like I said, the door is right there if you
want to leave.
Cox: Face it
Conroy
seems pensive for a minute, looking at Helen Summers and FAA, both of whom look
nervous and don't know quite what to say.
Finally, Conroy turns back to Cox.
Conroy: You know what Kerry? For once, you make sense. I accept.
You and I, one-on-one at Everlasting Epic, winner take all. I always have been the better businessman and
the better athlete. On August 20, I'm
going to outclass you and send you packing from this company.
Cox: If you say so.
Conroy: Oh I do. So train hard Kerry. Because after Everlasting
Epic, this company will never be the same.
Cox: Oh I'm sure of it.
The two
stare each other down hard as the fans buzz with excitement.
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
The
action kicks off as Muse's "Stockholm Syndrome" booms through the
speakers for the arrival of Paul Epton and John Wolfe. The British phenoms make
their way to the ring with a purpose, and carry looks of determination as they
wait on their opponents. Earshot's "Control" hits next, and the boos come in for Alpha Omega, who are led to the ring by
Justin Schenck.
* NON-TITLE MATCH: TAG TEAM
CHAMPIONS ALPHA OMEGA VS. PAUL EPTON & JOHN WOLFE *
Referee: Billy Vargas
Steve
Beovich and Greg Price climb ino the ring and hand their belts over to Billy
Vargas, who calls for the bell before giving them to the timekeeper. The bell
sounds and Price squares off against Epton in the early goings.
They
lock up and Epton grabs on with a side headlock. Price backs him to the ropes
and shoves him off, but Epton comes back and drops him with a shoulder block.
Epton stays on Price with a few right hands before hitting the ropes, but Price
pops up quickly and takes him down with a sharp elbow to the jaw.
Price
tags out to Beovich, and the former International Champion lifts Epton up and
pops him down with a snap suplex. Beovich makes a cover for a quick two count
and gets Epton back up to nail him with a chop. He irish
whips Epton to the ropes and looks for a clothesline. Epton ducks under it, but
Beovich throws him with a belly-to-belly suplex on his return! Beovich covers
again for one...two...but Epton kicks out once more!
Troy: Yeah, Beovich is
beginning to pour it on, Epton needs a tag.
Beovich
gets Epton off the canvas again and plants him with a spinebuster. The champion
then points up, and the crowd boos as they realize what is about to be
attempted. Beovich hops up to the top rope to complete Extreme Precision, but
he has none of it as Epton rolls away and he misses! Epton continues to roll
towards his corner, but Beovich is closer to his.
Beovich
tags Price back in, but Epton makes the tag to Wolfe and brings the crowd to
their feet! The powerhouse runs through Price with one clothesline, and then
another before getting him p and whipping him to the ropes. Price tries to
regain control of his body, but he can't as Wolfe grabs him around the throat!
Wolfe
shouts out to the crowd, but he is hit in the back by Beovich. Price recovers
to double team Wolfe with his partner. Alpha Omega shoots him to the ropes,
looking for a double elbow to the face. Wolfe returns and ducks under it, but
Epton runs up to spear Beovich to the mat. Price can barely react as Wolfe grabs
him around the neck and nails his chokeslam with big impact before covering for
the 1----2---3!
Ferrara: They won't get so
lucky next time, if you ask me.
"Stockholm
Syndrome" replays as Epton and Wolfe exit victorious and leave Alpha Omega
enraged as we head to a break.

EPTON & JOHN WOLFE *

Muse's
"Butterflies and Hurricanes" plays over the
speakers and a video package airs.
A graphic appears on the screen reading "Progressive Entertainment
Hall of Fame Class of 2005." The
next graphic to appear on the screen reads "Bryan Conroy." A highlight video of Conroy's CAW, FSW and
PWA career plays. Another graphic then
airs, reading "To Be Inducted By: Mike Troha." The next graphic to air reads "Kerry
Cox." A Cox highlight video,
featuring CAW and PWA clips plays, before a graphic appears reading "To Be
Inducted By: Scott Hosemann." Then another graphic airs, reading "And, Honorary Inductee -
Allison Kelly." A video reel
plays, showing clips of the late, great three-time Women's Champion in the
PWA. Finally, a graphic reads, "To
Be Inducted By: Vulture." From
there, a final graphic appears, reading "Live! Esther
Boyer Theater - Wednesday, August 17 - PWA Awards Special and Hall of Fame
Inductions. Don't miss it!"
The camera returns ringside, where "F*ckin in the Bushes" by Oasis
hits and the fans cheer loudly as The Iceman Jason Calysto makes his way to the
ring. Calysto, wearing street clothes,
grabs a microphone and steps into the ring.
Calysto: Well, I've finally gotten what I wanted, and I must say, it's about time.
I'm sure you heard the announcement earlier. Main eventing the Cologne,
Germany portion of Everlasting Epic IV, it will be, for the first time ever,
Jason Calysto one-on-one with Scythe.
I have to say, Bryan Conroy doesn't make too many good decisions these
days, but I do have to applaud him on this one.
This is a match that is a long time coming. Arguably the two best wrestlers in this
company. Arguably the
two most popular wrestlers in this company. But two wrestlers who have
quite an issue with one another.
Scythe, I know I'm not your favorite person right now, and you're
certainly not mine, but I'm glad we have this opportunity. I'm glad...
Suddenly,
"With You" by
Scythe: Listen Jay, I don't really want to hear this
right now. We've done a fair share of
screwing each other out of title shots and championships recently, but the
difference is, I've cost you either accidentally or in the context of a match. You have gone out of your way to get even.
Calysto: Scythe, I'm a competitor, and I
have always done what I have to do to get even.
To keep myself on top and everyone else below me. You stood in the way of me earning back
championships that are rightfully mine, and I intended to make you pay for
that. If you have a problem with that,
you can take it up with me August 20 at Everlasting Epic.
Scythe: Jay, don't get me wrong, I have
endless respect for you...
Calysto: Do you? Well let me tell you something, Scythe. My respect for you is conditional. You've done a lot since you've come here to
get a lot of people to respect you, but I haven't exactly jumped on the Scythe
bandwagon just yet. You want my respect? Then earn it in
Scythe: Done. You and me in
Calysto: I can't wait.
The two
then stare each other down as the fans buzz with excitement and we take a
commercial break.

Back from commercial, we see Progressive Champion Dexter P. Wellington
conversing with Bryan Conroy in his office.
Wellington: Honestly Bryan, I really don't think any of
them have any right whatsoever to challenge me for the title at Everlasting
Epic. Take a look at the rankings
sheet. The top five contenders are
Infernus, Darrin Giles, Victor Simon, Dean Nash and Damien Fields. They're all bums! Not one of them deserves a shot!
Conroy: You know Dex,
you might be on to something there.
Conroy: You're right.
Not one of them deserves a one-on-one shot at Everlasting Epic. Which is why it's a great
time for a Progressive Gauntlet.
Conroy: Usually a Salvation tradition,
but we didn't do it this year. Five challengers for the title, one champion. The challengers draw numbers one through
five, one and two face off in a match, then when one
loses, the next guy appears.
Conroy: Hold your horses. As champion, you're automatically the last
man out. So you still just have to win
one match. It's not that bad. Plus, it'll generate some interest.
Conroy: Of course you will. Now get moving, I've
got work to do.
The shot cuts backstage to the locker room of The Legacy, where Hollywood Mike
Griffin and Jonathan Brett are talking strategy for tonight's six-man when
Romeo walks into the room. The ORA Champion sits next to The PWA Champion, but
shakes hands with neither man.
Romeo: Yes, but only in the
ring tonight. That's why I'm here, to discuss our plans. I don't like either of
you, and that big ape next to you is the only reason I don't have that
belt you claim right now. But thats okay, I have
my own title, which I will be ready to defend in a few weeks.
Romeo: ...Says the guy who
lost to Jaguar at last year's Everlasting Epic. Listen Mike, I am the man
around here. You own Greg Tantalus, thats fine. But I
own Jaguar. I'll prove it tonight, like I have all along, and I'll do the same
thing at Everlasting Epic on an even bigger stage than you will.
Romeo: Top you? That's
funny. But anyway, this weekend I left Jaguar a message on his home phone
laying down a challenge. Our match is already set, but I wanted to make a
modification. This thing between he and myself has gone on long enough. I
offered him the chance to face me, in a Hell In A Cell
match.
Griffin: Whoa,
that is big man.
Romeo: It is, but the
punk hasn't given me an answer yet for whatever reason.
The
three men all share evil laughs as the shot fades out into a commercial break.
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
We return to the ringside area, where 50 Cent's "Da Repurcussions" is
playing for Mike Grieco's entrance into the arena. Paul Dawkins, James Biamonte
and Briggs stand in the ring as Grieco joins Jackie Baccaro and Vulture on
the outside. The lights go down and two swirls of icy, blue pyro light up the
arena as Darkseed's "Hear Me" begins to play. Walter Gindin leads
Solomon out to an array of boos from the crowd, something they are definitely
used to for their arrivals.
Troy: The Alaskan Monster
is making his way down to the ring, but we have just learned that at Everlasting
Epic IV, he will do the same in the match we have all wanted to see him in,
one-on-one with Briggs.
* SOLOMON, JACKIE BACCARO & MIKE GRIECO
VS. INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION PAUL DAWKINS, BRIGGS & JAMES BIAMONTE *
Referee: Matt Hansen
Solomon
climbs into the ring and focuses solely on Briggs, but Baccaro tells the big
man he will start the contest as Biamonte does the same for his team. The bell
rings and they go in for a lock-up, but Baccaro quickly goes on the offensive
with a knee to the gut and follows up with a stiff forearm shiver. He backs
Biamonte to the ropes and Irish whips him across the ring, but Biamonte ducks
under a clothesline attempt and scores with a cross body block on his return!
Baccaro
gets up and runs into a hip toss before a tag to Dawkins is made. The only
champion in the contest grabs Baccaro and bodyslams him before bouncing up
against the ropes and planting a big elbow across his chest.
Dawkins covers for a two count.
Dawkins
gets Baccaro up and tries to land a suplex, but Baccaro blocks and counters
with one of his own. Instead of inflicting further damage, Baccaro opts to let
Solomon take on the task for him as he tags in The Alaskan Monster. Dawkins
gets to his feet, but he is sent right back down with a crushing big boot to
the face from Solomon! Solomon covers for one...two...and Briggs breaks it up.
Solomon
goes after Briggs, but Hansen gets in between them. Perhaps out of desperation,
Dawkins hits Solomon with a low blow from behind before dropping him with the
Scud Missile Legdrop!
Solomon
slaps Grieco's hand for a tag, but Dawkins does the same to Briggs! Grieco runs
in and Briggs turns him inside out with a booming clothesline! Baccaro runs in
and Briggs gives him the same treatment. Baccaro rolls out of the ring as
Solomon re-enters and tries a big boot, but Briggs ducks and Solomon nearly
takes Grieco's head off his shoulders!
Briggs
turns Solomon around before hitting him with three punches and clotheslining
him over the top rope. Grieco rises slowly and Briggs kicks him in the stomach
before hoisting him up and driving him down with a Sit-out Powerbomb! Briggs
holds it into a cover for one...two...three!
"Trust"
by Sevendust plays through the PA system as Briggs, Biamonte and Dawkins
celebrate their victory in the ring and we head to another break.

DAWKINS, BRIGGS & JAMES BIAMONTE *
