The FBI warning flashes onto the
screen, before fading into a video, set to “Counterfeit Life” by Starsailor,
that highlights the PWA Championship match between champion Jackie Baccaro and
challenger Jason Calysto, along with the high stakes contest between PWA
President Bryan Conroy and Jaguar, the House of Horrors nightmare between
Briggs and Solomon and the return of TFU against Alpha Omega. As the
video package concludes, "Its Goin’ Down" by Yung Joc hits and we are
taken inside the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, where we catch sight of an
elaborate forest green set, featuring a long aisle connected at both ends by a
giant steel beam in the shape of an arch, a giant Jumbotron extending down from
the center and a Meltdown logo adorning each of the two sides. From there,
an amazing pyrotechnics display ensues, with fireworks shooting from the stage
and lighting up the home of The Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers! As the
exhibition concludes and the fans go berserk, we are taken to our commentators,
Victor Troy and Paul Ferrara!
Hosemann: It absolutely will! We’ve
got Jason Calysto challenging Jackie Baccaro for the PWA Championship, and if
he doesn’t win, he must retire due to a pre-match agreement with Bryan Conroy.
Troy: And speaking of the devil,
he’s gotta go one-on-one for the first time against Jaguar, and if Jaguar
doesn’t win, he’s got to retire as well!
Hosemann: Hopefully
they get it done, but I’m really excited to see the return of TFU as they
challenge for tag team gold, and how abut Keiko Ishida and Morgan Day settling
the score in a ladder match?!
The action is set to get underway
as "Still Ballin" by 2Pac and Trick Daddy bursts through the
speakers. Boos rise from the crowd as former two-time International Champion
James Biamonte is the first to enter the arena.
Hosemann: That's
true, Grieco did help cost Biamonte the belt, and we know they both despise
each other, but Biamonte needs Grieco and Grieco needs Biamonte if either wants
to regain that title.
As Biamonte enters the ring,
"Da Repercussions" by 50 Cent hits and another former two-time
champion, Mike Grieco, makes his way to the ring. Grieco doesn't get wrapped up
in his favorable crowd reaction, instead keeping his eyes locked on Biamonte,
who needs to be physically restrained by referee Matt Hansen once he sees his
partner.
"Black" by Sevendust
starts next, and Paul Dawkins comes through the curtain, alongside Liz Rush.
Dawkins looks very determined on leaving with International gold once more as he
steps into the ring and "Marriage of Figaro" by Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart plays to an eruption of boos. Dexter P. Wellington walks out, alongside
Winston, onto the long aisle and immediately catches Rush's eyes before she
scoffs and takes a position behind her man.
Hosemann: Well she
has said that she only wants Paul, but Dex is a very wealthy guy too. We know
ladies love money.
Troy: Well she loves
Paul and he's gonna need to restrain himself as much as possible from
clobbering Dex and perhaps costing them their chance at the title.
With the five challengers in the
ring, 50 Cent's "Piggy Bank" hits, and a big ovation greets Renegade
as the brand new International Champion begins his walk to the ring.
Hosemann: Renegade is
walking into a very tough situation tonight.
* THREE-WAY TAG TEAM ELIMINATION BOUT:
SHOWTIME DAMON SAVAGE & PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION RENEGADE VS. PAUL
DAWKINS & DEXTER P. WELLINGTON VS. JAMES BIAMONTE & MIKE GRIECO *
Referee: Matt Hansen
The champion climbs into the ring
and hands his belt from his waist to Hansen. He folds it and holds it high
before calling for the bell to take on what will be a very tough task. Grieco
remains in the ring to start the match opposite
Hosemann: If they win
both of their matches, he can beat him for it to have the title himself.
The champion jumps into the ring
and dizzies Grieco with some rights and lefts before whipping him to the ropes
and flooring him with a back elbow to the face. Grieco gets up and Renegade
scoop slams him back down. Grieco tries to shake it off, but is slow in getting
back up. Renegade waits for him to rise, but Grieco sees him coming and levels
him with a tremendous running forearm shot!
Hosemann: He could
use a tag, as could Renegade right now.
Both men make their ways to their
corners slowly, but Renegade reaches first to bring in Showtime. Grieco crawls
over to receive a hard tag from Biamonte, who rushes in to take on the man he
defeated for his second International Title.
Savage greets Biamonte with a combo
of right hands before attempting a big left hook, but Biamonte ducks underneath
and kicks him hard in the midsection. Biamonte goes for broke by pulling Savage
backwards for The Buzzkill, but Showtime manages to push him backwards.
Biamonte stumbles back against the ropes, where Mike Grieco sticks a hard knee
into his back! Biamonte staggers forward and Savage hooks him up before
drilling him to the canvas with Its Showtime! Savage covers for one…two….three!
Hosemann: Grieco just
sacrificed his spot in this match to take Biamonte out of it! Oh man!
Dawkins climbs into the ring and
immediately mows Showtime down with a clothesline. Savage pops back up and
receives another before getting up and slumping back into a corner. Dawkins
rushes over and grabs his arm to sling him to the opposite end for a Stinger
Splash, but Showtime sidesteps it and drops Dawkins down with a big back
suplex! He covers for 1---2---and Dawkins kicks out.
Looking to work Dawkins over,
Showtime stretches his arm and backs up to bring in Renegade. Renegade measures
Dawkins up before delivering a stiff kick into his arm. Liz Rush cringes as
Renegade wraps Dawkins’ arm behind his back and then scoop slams the man who
helped him taste PWA Tag Team Championship gold. Renegade covers now, but still
Dawkins kicks out before three.
Hosemann: Renegade
and Showtime are working well as a team right here.
Renegade looks out to the crowd and
signals for The F-U, causing Rush to scream a warning to her man. Renegade
ducks down to lift Dawkins, but he slips out and shoves him. Dawkins charges at
him, but Renegade sidesteps him and he crashes into a corner.
Renegade runs up for a Stinger
Splash, but doesn’t notice Showtime holding Dawkins in the corner. Dawkins
breaks free and Renegade crashes into the turnbuckles, but also into Savage’s
head! The champion stumbles backwards and Dawkins rolls him up for 1---2---3!
Hosemann: Dawkins
pinned him!
Hosemann: And he is
livid Vic!
Renegade pounds the mat in
frustration before exiting in a huge huff. He rips the top layer off the
security wall surrounding the ring and Showtime tries to apologize as they
exit.
* WINNERS: PAUL DAWKINS & DEXTER P.
WELLINGTON *
* PWA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: PAUL DAWKINS VS. DEXTER P. WELLINGTON *
Referee: Matt Hansen
Back in the ring, Wellington runs in and
gets all over Dawkins, pounding him with punches, kicks and stomps. He then
applies a blatant chokehold which Hansen forces him to break by a count of
five. Liz Rush screams for Dawkins to get up, but
Dawkins gets him up quickly and
batters him with three hard punches before whipping him into a corner. Dawkins
backs up and charges for a Stinger Splash, but
Hosemann: And he’s
looking to end it, but the ref is down!
Dawkins signals for The M.O.A.B.,
but stops as Winston hops up on the ring apron with his usual glass of brandy
in his hand. Rush hops up on the apron to stop him, and Winston grabs her by
the hair! As they scuffle, Rush manages to remove the glass from his hand. Dawkins
runs over to break it up, but Rush turns quickly and smashes the glass over his
head! Dawkins turns around, holding his head, and
Hosemann: We’ve got a
new champion!
“Marriage of Figaro” replays and
the crowd boos mercilessly as
Hosemann: She went
where the money was Vic; I had a feeling!
* WINNER VIA PINFALL AND NEW
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: DEXTER P. WELLINGTON *
The opening chords of
Hosemann: It is. We all saw Justice
return to assist his friend GI Jew a few weeks ago, and Scythe was given the
opportunity to have any partner of his choice, and he chose the man he won his
only Tag Team Championship with, Billy Chan.
As Scythe and Chan stretch out in
the ring, Slipknot's "Opium of The People" booms out, and the crowd's
boos accompany it as Justice and GI Jew make their way to the ring. The burly
New Yorkers carry menacing looks on their faces as they slide into the ring to
go right after their opponents.
* SCYTHE & BILLY CHAN VS. GI JEW
& JUSTICE *
Referee: Jose Soares
Justice and Jew batter Scythe and
Chan back into different corners. They then try to Irish whip them into each
other, but the Asian Sensations hook arms to avoid the collision and use that
momentum to barrel into their opponents with successive front dropkicks that
send them tumbling through the ropes and onto the floor! Before GI Jew and
Justice can rise, Scythe and Chan grab onto the top rope before pulling
themselves over it to land on top of their opponents with planchas in stereo!
Hosemann: They need to keep the
pace quickened in order to have success in this match.
Jose Soares quickly restores order
and calls for the bell as Chan rolls GI Jew into the ring and Justice and
Scythe take their places on the ring apron. Chan doesn't allow GI Jew to reach
a vertical base, and he batters him down in a corner to keep him grounded. With
Jew defenseless, the lightweight Chan makes sure to make an impact as he grabs
onto the top rope to propel himself up before jamming both feet into Jew's
chest with a mushroom stomp on the way down!
Hosemann: What an innovative move
that was!
Jew clutches his chest for a bit as
Chan pulls him out of the corner for a cover, but Justice breaks it up at two.
Chan instinctively goes after the big man, but doesn't touch him as Justice
gives a daring stare. The distraction allows GI Jew to rise and make Chan crumple
to the canvas with a big clothesline to the back of the head!
A tag to Justice follows, and the
crowd groans and moans as the former Progressive Champion goes to work on Billy
Chan. Holding a near ninety-pound weight advantage, Justice then holds Chan up
on his shoulder before dropping him face-first across the top turnbuckle with
snake eyes! Justice covers for one...two...and Chan kicks out. GI Jew
outstretches his arm, allowing a tag from Justice.
Hosemann: This is a big problem for
Billy Chan right now. GI Jew and Justice are making quick tags and keeping the
fresh man in the ring in order to isolate the smaller guy.
Justice grabs Chan by the arm and
holds it out, allowing GI Jew to enter the ring and deliver a punishing kick to
the ribs. Chan drops down to one knee, and GI Jew hits the ropes to connect
with a vile kick to the head to send him back down. Jew cockily spits in the
direction of Scythe before dropping down on Chan for a cover. Soares makes a
count for 1----2----and Chan gets a shoulder up still!
GI Jew shrugs it off and glares
again at Scythe as he lifts a battered Chan off the mat. Chan uses the
distraction to hit Jew in the gut. He then blocks a punch before springing to
his feet and connecting with a spinning kick to the chin that puts him down
flat! Both men are on the canvas and the crowd is screaming for Chan to make a
tag!
Hosemann: He needs a tag in the
worst way too!
Chan inches his way closer and
closer to Scythe, who uses his lanky frame to stretch out as much as possible.
Just when Chan gets within reach, Justice rumbles into the ring. Soares diverts
his attention to the big man, just as Chan tags Scythe to a big pop! Scythe
enters the ring on fire, and immediately goes after GI Jew, but Justice points
out the illegal tag, and the crowd boos in disappointment as Soares orders him
out of the ring!
Hosemann: Guess not, his back was
turned and the crowd exploded once the tag was made. It's not legal, and that
hurts Scythe and Chan tremendously.
As Scythe protests the call,
Justice runs forward and connects with a cheap shot by planting his huge boot
in his face! Scythe stumbles out of the ring and Justice escapes quickly to
avoid Soares' reprimanding. Chan uses the ropes to pull himself up, but Scythe
is no longer on the apron as he is instead writhing on the arena floor. Chan
turns around and GI Jew immediately barges into him, dissecting his midsection
with a thunderous Gore! Jew makes a cover and gets one...two...and three!
"Opium of The People"
hits and GI Jew and Justice are announced as the winner. Shortly after the bell
sounds, GI Jew points at Justice, and he immediately drops from the ring apron
to grab the bell and hammer away from the timekeeper!
Hosemann: Looks like they wanna
send a message now Vic.
Justice rolls back into the ring,
and waits for Chan to get up before bashing him across the forehead with the
ring bell!
Scythe rushes back into the ring,
but runs right into Justice, who tosses the bell to GI Jew. Justice ties up
Scythe, allowing GI Jew to run forward while holding the bell and drive it
metal-first into Scythe's rib cage with a vicious Gore! Scythe bucks and
writhes on the mat in anguish as Jew shakes off the blow and screams in his
face.
Hosemann: He just used the ring
bell in The Gore!
A swarm of PWA officials and arena
security rush down to the ring, but Justice keeps them at bay as GI Jew grabs
the hammer and places the bell across Billy Chan's head. Without wasting a
second, the vile former Grand Slam Winner drives the hammer into the bell, making
a sickening ring as the bell smashes against the head of a bloodied and
motionless Billy Chan! Security then floods the ring from the other side, but
the damage has been done as both Scythe and Billy Chan are left completely
bloodied and victimized inside the squared circle.
* WINNERS VIA PINFALL: GI JEW &
JUSTICE *
Hosemann: Like his song says, that
is sad but true. I think it's safe to say that both of these guys could be out
of action indefinitely, if we ever even see them again.
Troy: And we have GI Jew and
Justice to thank, even after they won the match. It's just disgusting! Nick
Cade, take it from here.
The shot cuts backstage, where Nick
Cade is standing by, waiting to talk to Paul Dawkins, who is sweating as he
feverishly packs his bags.
Cade: Paul, I know it's been a
rough night. You came so close to regaining the International Title, I'd just
like a quick word --
Dawkins: (Cutting him off) No
disrespect Nick. Now is not the time.
Dawkins grabs his bags and storms
out of the building as the shot cuts out and heads to the interview area, where
Scott Cornelius is with Lauren Tantalus.
Cornelius: What a terrible night
this has been for Paul Dawkins, Scythe and Billy Chan, but Lauren, you are
looking to put a positive spin on things when you head out in a few moments to
attempt to win your unprecedented fourth PWA Women's Championship. Your
thoughts?
Tantalus: You're right Scott, it
has been an unfortunate night so far, and its a shame because all of those
three are very nice guys, but now it's my time to get what I have wanted for so
long. You mentioned the chance to be the first four-time champion in history,
but it’s about so much more than that. Magnifica has tormented me for too, too
long, and payback still might not be as big of a bitch as she is, but it will
still be pretty damn sweet.
Tantalus then marches off the set,
headed for the ring, which is where the cameras head next.
“Free” by VAST blares out and the
fans give a big pop to Lauren Tantalus as she walks out through the curtain.
The former PWA Women’s Champion looks both focused and excited as she walks to the
ring to take on the woman who has tormented her for so long.
Hosemann: And that’s
the Women’s Championship. And if Lauren wins, she can become the first-ever
four-time champion.
After Lauren enters the ring, “Cuz
I Can” by Pink takes over and massive boos come for the arrival of the
champion. Magnifica emerges in her hot pink and black attire, but gold is the
most important color on her body, namely in the form of the Women’s
Championship belt around her waist.
Hosemann: Without a
doubt. Magnifica just has something in her that causes everyone around her,
with few exceptions, to hate her. Lauren Tantalus is certainly no different,
and I think the slugfest we’re gonna see will support that.
* PWA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP: MAGNIFICA ©
VS. LAUREN TANTALUS *
Referee: Dan Martin
Tantalus waits on the near side of
the ring as Magnifica tries to enter, but the champion will not step in until
referee Dan Martin backs her off. Magnifica then enters the squared circle
cockily, and Tantalus breaks away from Martin to pounce on her before the bell!
Tantalus batters Magnifica with a series of rapid, clubbing blows, and the
champion struggles to get our of her jacket and title belt. Magnifica finally
gets both off, but that gives Lauren the perfect opening to charge and level
her with a clothesline that sends her over the top rope and to the floor!
Tantalus hops from the ring and
gets Magnifica up before delivering a stinging reverse knife-edge chop to the
chest. She then tries to follow up with an Irish whip, but it gets reversed and
Magnifica tosses her into the steel ring steps with intense force! Lauren
winces in pain before crumbing down on the arena floor.
Hosemann: Lauren
began hot, but that one big move just swung things in Magnifica’s favor.
The champion is booed heavily as
she walks over to her opponent and slaps her clean across the face before
rolling her into the ring. Magnifica enters through the middle and bottom ropes
and then begins to unleash an assault on the challenger by stomping her
mercilessly with her shiny black boots.
Martin backs her off for a bit, but
Magnifica does not relent. She gets Tantalus up and drives her back into a
corner, where she executes two stiff shoulder thrusts to the midsection before
Irish whipping her hard into the opposing corner. Tantalus walks out and
Magnifica boots her in the stomach before dropping her with a big DDT!
Magnifica covers for one…two…and Tantalus kicks out.
Hosemann: Looks like
Magnifica is focused in on that head of Lauren Tantalus Vic.
Magnifica gets up and pulls the
challenger up with her by the hair before hooking her into position for a
suplex. The champion nails it beautifully and rises quickly to mount the middle
turnbuckles for another attack. Magnifica jumps off, but Tantalus knows she’s
coming and sticks up her foot, causing Magnifica to land chin-first against her
boot!
Tantalus gets up and Magnifica
follows, but it is now the challenger’s turn to go on the offensive. She drives
Magnifica back into a corner and lights her up with two more stiff chops before
whipping her to the opposite corner. Tantalus approaches and mounts the middle
turnbuckles before banging her right fist ten times against her cranium as the
crowd counts. Magnifica staggers out a bit, and Lauren hops on the turnbuckles
again before jumping off and driving the champion’s head into the canvas with a
bulldog headlock!
Hosemann: Cover her
Lauren!
Tantalus covers and hooks a leg as
Martin counts 1---2---and Magnifica narrowly kicks out! Martin confirms the
close count for Lauren before she pulls Magnifica off of the canvas. After
calling for her signature Tiger Driver, Lauren kicks Magnifica in the stomach
and doubles her over. As she tries to hook her arms for the move, Magnifica
springs up wildly and sends Tantalus flying backwards until the back of her
head smacks the referee in the face! Both Magnifica and Lauren are down as all
eyes focus on the aisle as Michelle makes her way towards the ring!
Hosemann: It looks
like she wants to return the favor!
As both women try to get up in the
ring, Michelle rips the Women’s Championship belt away from the timekeeper.
Lauren approaches Magnifica, but stops as the champion drops back down to the
mat. Tantalus turns around and Michelle blisters her in the head with the gold!
Magnifica smiles as Michelle hops out of the ring and hides at the foot of the
ring apron, much to the crowd’s displeasure.
Hosemann: I smell a
serious setup Vic!
With Lauren already barely moving,
Magnifica gets off the mat and lifts her up before grabbing her from behind and
spiking her head into the mat with The Breakdown! She covers and Martin
recovers in enough time to log the count of three. “Cuz I Can” replays and the
boos continue to rain down as Magnifica is named the winner.
Hosemann: This Conroy
regime seems to have all the answers Vic.
Troy: Unfortunately,
you may be right.
* WINNER VIA PINFALL AND STILL WOMEN’S CHAMPION: MAGNIFICA *
The crowd buzzes with excitement as
the arena house lights dim down and the steel cage lowers from the ceiling.
"Edge of The Earth" by 30 Seconds to Mars hits and the crowd begins
to jeer as Loki makes his way out onto the aisle. The fans that aren't booing
Loki are still buzzing over what they are about to witness.
Troy: This next match is the next
loser leaves PWA match, the second of Speed Demon's proposed three matches to
eliminate the Army of the Damned.
Hosemann: But he doesn't want to do
it in regular matches. Last month, he broke Reaper's neck and ended his career
by plunging him 15 feet into the pitchers mound in the bullpen at
Hosemann: That's a big assumption.
Even though he is banned from ringside tonight, I don't think there is any fear
whatsoever in his heart.
Loki reaches the ringside area and
walks fully around the cage before grabbing a chair from Lee Palmer and
carrying it into the ring with him. Loki looks focused and ready for a war, and
he knows he's going to get one as Mudvayne's "Determined" begins and
Speed Demon marches out to a favorable reaction, and he also looks ready for
battle as he approaches the barbed wire covered cage.
* CAREER-ENDING BARBED-WIRE STEEL CAGE
MATCH: SPEED DEMON VS. LOKI *
Referee: Billy Vargas
Speed Demon sees Loki armed with
the chair, but he quickly slides into the cage anyway. As the bell sounds, Loki
swings the chair downward, but Demon rolls away and then pops up to his feet to
kick the chair into Loki's face. Loki is staggered by the blow, but has the
wherewithal to sidestep a charging Speed Demon, allowing him to run right into
the side of the cage!
Loki gets Speed Demon off the
canvas before putting him back down on it with a back suplex. He then heads
into a corner and begins to climb up, but thinks twice as he sees the swirling
razor wire wrapped around the cage. Loki turns around on the top rope to jump
on his opponent, but Speed Demon props the chair straight up and Loki
lands on it chest-first!
Hosemann: And he wouldn't mind one
single bit if that stopped his heart!
Demon gets to his feet and grabs
Loki by his shoulder-length blond hair to get him off the mat. One Loki is up,
Demon takes him to the wall of the cage and grinds his face against it, turning
into Hamburger Helper as Loki's forehead is violently sliced open.
Demon leaves Loki to grab the chair
which was still on the canvas. Prepared to inflict serious damage, Demon hits
the ropes while holding the chair. Looking to drive it into the back of Loki's
head, Speed Demon doesn't get the chance. Loki sees him coming and delivers an Atheist
superkick that drives the chair backwards against Demon's head with a blow that
is sure to draw blood!
Hosemann: I've been in there with
him, and what a lot of people don't know about Loki is that the guy has
tremendous ring instincts. Speed Demon just found out the hard way. He's
reaching into his tights for something now.
Hosemann: Two pairs of them too!
As Speed Demon's eyes roll all
around his now bloody head, Loki places both sets of handcuffs down near a
corner. He then grabs Speed Demon and bangs his head into the top turnbuckle
before turning him around in the corner so he faces the center of the ring.
Hosemann: He's gonna try to cuff
him in the corner!
Troy: We knew this one wouldn't be
about pinfalls, but this is out of control!
Loki then grabs the handcuffs and
heads towards Speed Demon, but Demon reacts quickly and kicks him right in the
groin! In a match with no rules, Billy Vargas can do nothing about it, and Loki
wishes he could as he falls to his knees. Speed Demon then picks Loki up and
tosses him into the corner, and now he has the handcuffs. He grabs Loki's right
arm and drapes it over the top rope to cuff his arm behind his back by locking
the cuff over the middle rope. Demon does the same with the left arm, and then
the crowd cheers as he turns his attention to the steel chair!
Troy: Oh no, he's not gonna do
this! Speed Demon is eyeing that chair and Loki is handcuffed to the ropes!
Hosemann: This Speed Demon is a
scarred man
Troy: As much as I despise Loki,
Vargas can't let this happen!
Hosemann: There's no rules!
Speed Demon grabs the chair and
waits for Loki to see him with it. Loki's blue eyes widen and he shakes his
head, pleading for Speed Demon to free him and let bygones be bygones. Demon
doesn't even let a grin slip out as he lifts the chair, rears back, and crushes
it across Loki's skull with a thunderous thud! Loki's head drops and Demon lets
out a maniacal scream before he picks it up and hits him again and then again
and then again! Fearing for Loki's life, Billy Vargas steps in and grabs onto
the chair before stopping the match! "Determined" hits again and the
Troy: Thank God for Billy Vargas
calling this thing, because I have no doubt in my mind, Speed Demon would have
killed Loki in that ring.
Hosemann: He would have, and now
security is ready to escort Demon out of the ring, but Loki's career is over.
Hosemann: And in two months, Speed
Demon has broken Reaper's neck, done who knows what to Loki, and he has
splintered The Army of The Damned. Bishop Cross remains alone, and that can't
sit well with him at all.
* WINNER: SPEED DEMON *
As Speed Demon exits victorious
once again, we are taken to the interview area, where Traci Reed is with Greg
Tantalus and Mike Griffin, collectively known as TFU.
Reed: Mike, Greg, it has been a
long time coming. I'm excited, these fans are excited, and the world is excited
to see you guys back together on pay-per-view. In just moments, you attempt to
regain the PWA Tag Team Titles for the third time when your take on some men
you know all about, Alpha Omega of The Legacy.
Griffin: Oh, I know everything
about them. It's funny how Greg Price and Steve Beovich think they're bad news
now, after all they have done in the last year is make my limo arrangements and
make sure my coffee was stirred. When I needed the support of The Legacy, they
turned their backs on me. Even my no-good brother. Well, that's when I confided
in someone I knew I could trust, someone who actually is like a brother to me,
and that's this man right here.
Tantalus: Exactly. I don't care who
Alpha Omega has claimed to have beaten so long ago, but you're playing in a
different league now boys. This is TFU. We were winning tag titles when Beovich
was curtain jerking as a Flying Terrier or something, and when Price was simply
jerking behind the curtain. We've been there, and done that. And now, we're
about to do it again. Let's go Mike.
The shot cuts back out to the ring,
where senior referee Tom Stevens is standing as TOOL’s “Vicarious” hits and,
once the fans realize who the new music belongs to, they burst out with a roaring
ovation as, for the first time in a long time, Mike Griffin and Greg Tantalus
emerge from the curtain to march down to a pay-per-view ring!
Hosemann: And there
they are! And they seem ready, with some brand new music, to launch forward
into a new era! That is a symbol,
Hosemann: But they
will have to go through Alpha Omega to do it, and we know Justin Schenck and
the rest of The Legacy cannot be too far behind.
TFU enters the ring and poses on
the turnbuckles as they wait on their opposition. They don’t have to wait long
as “More Human Than Human” by White Zombie takes over. Justin Schenck leads The
Alpha Greg Price and The Omega Steve Beovich out, and the trio is showered with
boos, but they walk with determination as they look at two men they despise in
the ring.
The Tag Team Champions take off
their belts and hand them to their manager, who hands them off to the
timekeeper as his team gets into the ring. Both teams are eager to start the
match, and Beovich opts to begin for his team as
* PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: ALPHA OMEGA
© VS. TFU *
Referee: Tom Stevens
The bell sounds and both men lock
up quickly. Beovich has a slight strength advantage, but
Hosemann: Loud and
clear, but Alpha Omega has felt like they have been in Griffin’s shadow for
well over a year, and they have a point to prove tonight.
The five-time World Champion gives
a sharp punch to the midsection before leveling him with a European uppercut.
Price falls back into the ropes and Tantalus Irish whips him, but Price reverses
and gets him in a sleeperhold on his return. Tantalus quickly reverses it and
drops him with a back suplex. He covers, but only gets a two count.
Tantalus tries to get Price up, but
the Alpha delivers an elbow to the midsection and follows it up with a rake of
the eyes. Price barrels Tantalus back into his corner and tags out to Beovich,
who comes in and batters him with a score of punches and kicks. Beovich then
grabs him by the arm before hurling him with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex!
The Omega covers and gets one…two…and a kickout.
Hosemann: They’re
showing why they are the champs. They’re cutting the ring in half and keeping
Tantalus either on the mat or in their corner.
Beovich scoop slams Tantalus to
keep him down a bit as he mounts the middle turnbuckle. The Omega jumps up, but
Tantalus crouches down and Beovich lands right on his knee, punishing himself
with an inverted atomic drop! The champion falls to the mat, and Tantalus
quickly tags in
Hosemann: And here
come the jackals!
Giles is cut off by Tantalus and
Hosemann: I smell new
champs!
Tantalus scoops Beovich up and
crouches as
Hosemann: It’s about
time somebody struck a blow to this Conroy regime! TFU did it!
* WINNERS VIA PINFALL AND NEW PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: TFU *
“Vicarious” hits and the crowd goes
crazy as TFU is handed PWA championship gold for the third time. Tantalus and
Summers: Wait a
minute, wait one minute! Shut up, all of you backyard country bumpkins! (Crowd
boos) TFU, Griffin, Tantalus, I’m actually out here to do two things. First,
I’d like to say congratulations. That’s right, congrats guys. You have done it.
You are the brand new PWA Tag Team Champions. But I’m also out here to inform
you of your first title defense. That’s right, your first title defense will be
against Mike Troha and his partner Bodycount. And one more thing guys, that
title defense…is right now!
“Inertiatic ESP” by The Mars Volta
hits, and the crowd is irate as Michelle leads The Miracle Mike Troha and
Bodycount down the aisle. Summers exits with a smirk as the duo charges into
the ring. Stevens is forced to call for the bell, and the second tag team title

THE MIRACLE MIKE TROHA & BODYCOUNT *
Referee: Tom Stevens
TFU tries to fight off their new
opponents, but Bodycount drops them both with a double clothesline. He then
lifts Tantalus up by his neck and destroys him with The Monster Chokeslam,
while Troha simultaneously dumps Griffin on his dome with Divine Intervention!
They cover each man at the same time and Stevens counts one…two…three, and
calls for the bell.
Hosemann: I can’t
even pretend to be surprised.
Hosemann: I don’t
know, but I can say I really don’t like Jaguar’s or Jason Calysto’s chances
tonight, and they each have their careers on the line!
* WINNERS VIA PINFALL AND NEW PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: MIKE TROHA
& BODYCOUNT *
As they exit, the focus shifts to
the Jumbotron, where a video package begins to play, highlighting the biggest
moments of each of the last four Everlasting Epic events. The package shows The
Hot Boy$ defeating TFU to win the first PWA Tag Team Championship, Hollywood
Mike Griffin defeating Jason Calysto, Greg Tantalus pulling out victories over
Vulture and Griffin, Jaguar defeating Romeo in a Hell In The Cell Match,
Showtime Damon Savage knocking out Vladimir Vydrina, and other great moments.
It concludes with the image of Jason Calysto beating Scott Hosemann to become
the inaugural PWA Champion at the first Everlasting Epic, and shows the words
“Everlasting Epic comes home: Madison Square Garden, August 12, 2006, only on
Pay-Per-View.”
