As we
return, we see Morgan Day walking through the backstage area. She comes to a
sudden pause when she encounters Keiko Ishida in the hall, the woman that she
will meet in a ladder match this Saturday night at Meltdown to determine the
Everlasting Epic women’s championship challenger. The two lethal ladies stare each
other down, not making a sudden movement, before Morgan begins to speak.
Morgan: Keiko.
Keiko: Morgan.
Morgan: Well, now that we’re here, face to face, I might as well wish you good
luck on Saturday night in our ladder match. And I also wanted to thank you for
standing your ground to help make this match a reality. We have had a long and
storied rivalry, you and I, and this Saturday night at Meltdown, we are finally
going to end it. I know we both would like nothing more than to finish our PWA
careers as the last Women’s Champion, but only one of us is going to have the
opportunity to do so. And I say, let the best woman win at Meltdown.
Keiko: I couldn’t have said it better myself. Good luck to you.
The two then shake hands. However, as their handshake concludes, the
commissioner Helen Summers walks over, laughing.
Morgan: What in the bloody hell is your problem?
Helen: Oh nothing. It’s just that I just overheard your little exchange, and I
don’t know if I’ve ever heard anything more pathetic in my entire life. I
didn’t book this match because you two “respect” each other; I booked it
because people have enjoyed watching you two tear each other limb from limb in
the past, and they would again at Meltdown.
Morgan: Helen, you made the match because we didn’t leave you any other choice,
not because you wanted to make it by any means. You know you can’t stand the
fact that I negotiated my way into this, and that your plan of simply giving
Keiko the shot wasn’t going to fly with any of us.
Helen: Maybe at first I was a little upset about it, but then I realized you’re
nothing but a stupid overrated whore, so it didn’t bother me much anymore.
Morgan: Excuse me, what did you just call me?
Helen: I called you a stupid overrated whore, you bitch, and I stand by it. You
know, ever since I’ve returned to the PWA, all I’ve heard in the women’s
division is Morgan Day this, Morgan Day that, and I’m sick of it. You’re a
leech who only got ahead in your career by getting boned by an eight-time world
champion, who is now a worthless cripple, I might add. Without him, you never
would have been anything. That’s why I gave the shot to Keiko initially,
Morgan. Because she actually deserves her spot.
Morgan is enraged by the false and unfathomable accusations, and looks ready
to lash out and attack Helen, which puts a smile on the commissioner’s face.
Helen: What’s the matter, you want to hit me? Go right ahead then, take your
best shot!
Morgan: Oh with pleasure.
Morgan then attempts to strike Helen, but Keiko holds her back!
Keiko: No! It’s a trap! She wants you to lose your temper so that she can
suspend you and cancel our match Saturday! Just calm down, Morgan, and let’s
get the hell out of here!
Morgan is barely able to control herself as Keiko leads her away. Keiko
stares down Helen as she does.
Keiko: You’ve got some nerve, Helen, you really do.
Once Keiko and Morgan are gone, the smug smile on Summers’
face dissipates.
Helen: Dammit!
Summers kicks the wall in frustration, but only hurts her toe in the process!
A video package then airs on the Jumbotron, highlighting the immense brutality
of the House of Horrors match. Still black-and-white clips of the structure,
including the glass casings, the weapons, and the flaming tables, are flashed
onto the screen in a rhythmic manner, fused with short clips of the sheer
horror of the first and only time this match was ever contested, between
Anthony Failla and Mike Grieco on
“Some feuds must be settled, at any cost. The House
of Horrors returns, this Saturday night! Solomon vs. Briggs, live on
pay-per-view at PWA Meltdown from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia!”
From there, we fade out, into another commercial break.

BREAK --
As we return, “Piggy Bank” by 50 Cent is blaring
over the speakers, and a focused Renegade is standing in the ring, preparing
for his opportunity to become a two-time International Champion. His tag team
partner Paul Dawkins, and Dawkins’girlfriend
Liz Rush are at ringside to support him. Moments later, “Still Ballin” by 2Pac hits the speakers, and the fans begin
booing loudly as the reigning International Champion James Biamonte makes his
way to the ring. Biamonte glares at Paul Dawkins and Liz Rush as he enters,
before focusing completely on Renegade and retaining his title as the bell
sounds.
Troy: This is going to be an interesting battle for this
championship, just days before it is defended in the most unique of
circumstances. Helen Summers has paired three sets of guys who
don’t get along – Renegade with Showtime, Biamonte with Mike Grieco, and
Dawkins with Dex Wellington – to battle in a triple
threat tag team match, with the winning duo battling each other for the
International title immediately after the match concludes.
Hosemann: That should definitely be real interesting, Troy.
Troy: This title match here has no bearing on that particular match, but it
will definitely be interesting nonetheless, because it’s quite possible that Biamonte
could enter Meltdown challenging for the title, instead of holding it, not that
the champion has any advantage whatsoever in a match of that nature.

Referee: Matt Hansen
Biamonte and Renegade lock up in the center of the ring, and
Biamonte gains the initial advantage, grabbing Renegade in a hard headlock.
Biamonte cinches it in tightly, trying to press his upper hand, but Renegade is
able to shove his way out of it, shoving Biamonte off the ropes, nailing him
with a hard back body drop as he returns! Biamonte then gets up, and Renegade
downs him with a hard clothesline! Renegade stalks in on Biamonte from there,
but the International Champion is able to grab him moving in, and yank him into
the corner. With Renegade momentarily dazed, Biamonte gets up, grabs Renegade
from behind, and nails him with a belly-to-back suplex.
Hosemann: He did. Now he just has to follow up on it.
Biamonte nails Renegade with several hard stomps,
but Renegade digs deep and works his way back to a vertical base. Biamonte
tries nailing Renegade with stiff rights, but Renegade keeps blocking them, and
coming back with hard rights of his own! Finally, Biamonte has had enough and
swings a clothesline at his challenger, but Renegade ducks under it, spins
around, and clocks Biamonte in the skull with the kick of death! Biamonte goes
down hard, and Renegade signals for the F-U! However,
on the outside of the ring, Renegade notices that Dexter P. Wellington has come
to ringside to hit on Liz Rush! Renegade alerts Dawkins, who is not far away,
and immediately, Dawkins and
Hosemann: This is incredible! It won’t make much of a difference come Meltdown
this Saturday, but this is incredible nonetheless!
The fans cheer loudly as “Piggy Bank” hits and
Renegade is awarded the championship belt, but on the outside, Dawkins brawls
with
Hosemann: It certainly will,

As we return from break, “Control” by Earshot hits
the speakers, and the fans boo loudly as Justin Schenck leads the Legacy to the
ring. Schenck, with a microphone in hand, is followed to the ring by the Tag
Team Champions Alpha Omega, Infernus, and Darrin Giles, and the fans continue
to give the Legacy one of the most negative reactions of the night. Finally,
all are in the ring, and Schenck begins speaking.
Schenck: Alright, I’m not going to screw around now. You all know what we’re
out here for right now, and we’re going to get right to it. Mike Griffin, tonight is your deadline. We all have our
expectations on who you are going to name as your partner, and quite frankly, I
have my doubts with it as well. Not that it will happen, though, because that
seems beyond obvious at this point. I have my doubts that it will even matter,
however. Let me remind you all that it’s
been a long time, two years in fact, since TFU was even remotely on the same
page. They have both evolved immensely as singles performers in that span of
time, and to go back and think they can be a team again, especially against the
likes of a cohesive, well-oiled, veteran duo like Alpha Omega, well, it’s a
little ridiculous. But
Moments later, “Parabola” by TOOL hits the
speakers, and the fans begin cheering as Hollywood Mike Griffin makes his way
to the ring!
Griffin: You’re right, Justin. There have been cameras in the back, and
there is a wide consensus over just who I’m going to bring into
Hosemann: This is unbelievable!
Schenck: Cheer now, fans. Cheer while you still can, because believe me, this reunion of TFU that is headed our way on Saturday
is going to be a MAJOR letdown. Griffin, what in the world makes you think that
you and Tantalus can all of a sudden, after two years, pick up right where you
left off and be a dominant team again? It actually amuses me that you’re going
down this road, but it’s your funeral.
The fans cheer wildly at this statement!
Schenck: Oh is that so? Well if that’s the case, then we’d better get a head
start.
With that, the entire Legacy jumps Mike Griffin!
Hosemann: It’s a five-on-one beatdown,
The beatdown continues,
and the fans boo loudly, until Greg Tantalus storms down the aisle with a steel
chair! The fans go ballistic as Tantalus charges into the ring and begins
swinging the chair wildly, connecting with Infernus and Giles, and clearing the
ring of the rest of the Legacy! The fans cheer thunderously as Schenck calls
off his troops and retreats to the back!
With the fans still cheering,
Troy: I smell a setup here, Scott!
Hosemann: It certainly does appear that way! Troha and Bodycount were in
position, and they have just softened up TFU, days before they will challenge
Alpha Omega for the gold at Meltdown!
With the fans booing thunderously, “Inertiatic
ESP” by The Mars Volta blares over the speakers as Bodycount and Troha stand
victoriously over the fallen TFU, the Legacy looks on in admiration and
appreciation, and we take a commercial break.

Starsailor’s “Counterfeit Life” hits the speakers and we
see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Meltdown Report.” From
there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O’Brien, who
is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Meltdown logo.
O’Brien: Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O’Brien and this is
the Meltdown report. Folks, we’re just four days away from the
second-to-last pay-per-view spectacular in the history of the PWA, Symphony of
Destruction, live from Phillips Arena in
In the main event, with the PWA Championship on the line, Jackie Baccaro
defends his crown against The Iceman Jason Calysto, a match that will prove to
be the final one of Calysto’s career should he not
capture the gold!
Jaguar will return to action in the PWA to defend his Everlasting Epic PWA
title match against Bryan Conroy! Jaguar will have Romeo and Kerry Cox as his
lumberjacks, and Conroy will field Anthony Failla and a lumberjack to be
revealed next in this turbo-charged contest!
Alpha Omega will defend the Tag Team Championship against
In a House of Horrors match to end their feud once and for all, Solomon goes
one-on-one with Walter Gindin’s Canadian Destroyer,
Briggs!
Two careers will be at stake when Speed Demon battles Army of the Damned member
Loki in a barbed wire steel cage match!
Magnifica will defend the Women’s Championship against three-time former
champion Lauren Tantalus!
Morgan Day and Keiko Ishida will square off one last time, in a ladder match,
to determine the number one contender to the Women’s Championship for
Everlasting Epic!
Scythe will team with former partner Billy Chan to meet GI Jew and Justice!
And, in a match signed by Commissioner Helen Summers, we will see a triple
threat tag team match, with some rather odd pairings. Based on events that took
place last week, Helen Summers has decided to make teams out of Showtime Damon
Savage and the new International Champion Renegade, Mike Grieco and James
Biamonte, and Dexter P. Wellington and Paul Dawkins! The three teams will
battle it out, elimination style, and when just one team remains, the two
teammates will battle it out in a singles match for the International
Championship! With all the bad blood that will be in the ring with these six
men, and with these unconventional rules at play, anything can happen, and
anyone can leave the International Champion!
That’s all for this week, folks. For the Meltdown report, I’m Ron
O’Brien, saying see you next week!

Back from commercial, “Things Done Changed” by
Notorious BIG blasts onto the speakers, and the PWA Champion Jackie Baccaro and
the Women’s Champion Magnifica make their way to the ring, ready for the main
event, just four days away from Meltdown, live on pay-per-view. Amidst the
raucous jeering of the capacity crowd, Baccaro and Magnifica enter the ring,
awaiting their opposition. Moments later, “Free” by VAST thumps onto the
speakers, and Lauren Tantalus arrives to a response of predominant cheers!
Lauren makes her way to the foot of the ramp and pauses there, waiting on her
partner. Then, seconds after, “F*ckin in the Bushes”
by Oasis explodes onto the speakers, and the fans go insane as The Iceman Jason
Calysto emerges! Calysto meets Lauren at the ramp, and the two slide into the ring, immediately taking the fight to Baccaro
and Magnifica, prompting the bell to sound!
Troy: Alright folks, it’s main event time!
Hosemann: We’re about to get two big time previews of two big time championship
matches taking place on Saturday!
* MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH: PWA CHAMPION JACKIE BACCARO & PWA WOMEN’S
CHAMPION MAGNIFICA VS. JASON CALYSTO & LAUREN TANTALUS *
Referee: Tom Stevens
Lauren clotheslines Magnifica over the top rope and out of the ring to
start the match, which the fans cheer loudly, and Baccaro and Calysto are left
in the ring slugging it out. On adrenaline, Calysto takes the early advantage
in the match, staggering Baccaro with hard lefts and rights. Calysto
capitalizes on this advantage, whipping Baccaro against the ropes and downing
him with a hard, stinging back body drop! Baccaro gets up, and Calysto
clotheslines him down hard to the mat! Baccaro gets up and sees Calysto
charging at him again, so he wisely slides under the ring for a momentary
breather. However, Calysto launches himself over the top rope and crashes down
onto Baccaro with a vicious plancha!
Hosemann: Baccaro thought he was getting himself a breather, but that was no
breather at all!
Calysto and Baccaro are slow to their feet, though
it is the Iceman who gets to a vertical base first on the outside. Calysto
rolls Baccaro back into the ring, and follows him back in, looking to press the
advantage. Calysto locks Baccaro in a front face lock, cinching it in tightly, but
Baccaro refuses to stay down. Baccaro fights his way back to a vertical base,
and takes Calysto down with a furious release northern lights suplex! The
impact sends the Iceman crashing into the mat, and produces a sight from the
capacity crowd.
Hosemann: Sure was!
Calysto is slow to his feet, and when he does rise, Baccaro springboards to the top rope, leaps off, turns
in mid-air, and crushes Calysto with a furious clothesline! Baccaro goes for
the cover… one, two, and Calysto kicks out! Calysto is still dazed and out of
it as Baccaro gets to his feet, and Magnifica begs into the match, screaming
that she wants a piece of Calysto. Baccaro is hesitant at first, but ultimately
obliges, tagging Magnifica in. The Women’s Champion enters the ring, and
immediately nails Calysto with a cheap kick to the spine as she does! Magnifica
receives an exorbitant amount of boos as she continues to brutally kick
Calysto, but finally, Calysto gets up, and is able to shove Magnifica down to the
mat hard! The fans cheer, and Magnifica tries to scramble back to the corner,
but can’t get there before Calysto tags in Lauren Tantalus! Lauren then rushes
the ring, and grabs Magnifica, preventing her from making a tag!
Lauren
floors Magnifica with a vicious right hand, and when Magnifica springs back up,
she blasts her down with another! Magnifica gets up again, and Lauren whips her
against the ropes, downing her hard with a huge back body drop! Lauren then
lifts Magnifica up, whips her against the ropes, and crushes her down with a
huge powerslam! As Magnifica struggles to bring
herself back to a vertical base, Lauren signals for the tiger driver, prompting
the fans to cheer loudly! However, as Magnifica rises to her feet, Baccaro
reaches over and tags himself in blindly! Lauren begins to lift Magnifica for
the move, but Baccaro enters the ring and viciously boots her in the stomach!
Magnifica falls out of Lauren’s grip, and Baccaro looks to capitalize, lifting
Lauren in position for the Baccaro Bomb!
Hosemann: That’s the same move Baccaro delivered to Lauren over a year ago when
he sent her out of the PWA the first time!
Baccaro holds Lauren in position, close to the
ropes, but Lauren is able to reach over and tag Calysto back into the match!
The Iceman enters the ring, but Baccaro noticed the tag, and he tosses Lauren
onto the unsuspecting Calysto, flooring them both! Lauren stays down as Calysto
staggers to his feet, and when he does, the PWA Champion boots him in the
stomach and crushes him down hard with the Baccaro Bomb! Baccaro covers… one,
two, three.
Hosemann: It’s over,
The fans boo loudly as “Things Done Changed”
replays over the speakers, and Baccaro and Magnifica celebrate their victory to
a chorus of hate-filled boos.
Hosemann: Troy, Baccaro found a way to pin Jason Calysto tonight, and if he
finds a way to not lose the championship to him this Saturday night, by the
time we get to our nation’s capital for Frequency next week, Calysto will have
been forced into retirement!
Moments later, however, as the pair prepares to
leave, the lights go out and the arena turns pitch black! Suddenly, after
several strikes of lightning, the opening chords of Clint Mansell’s
“Summer Overture” blare onto the speakers, as disturbing black and red blotchy
images overtake the Jumbotron! Several seconds later, a diluted cross appears
on the screen, and the video fades out as quickly as it began! The lights go
back on, and Baccaro and Magnifica are standing in the ring, noticeably
spooked, as the fans cheer relentlessly, chanting “Vul-ture,
Vul-ture!”
Hosemann: I don’t know,
