PALAIS OMNISPORTS DE PARIS-BERCY

PARIS, FRANCE

SEGMENT 8:  BACKSTAGE:
A camera is set in the locker room of The Legacy, where the six men are conversing when their door opens. Everything stops when they look up and see that the man responsible for it is Smooth Greg Tantalus.

Schenck: Can we help you?

Tantalus: Don't speak another word to me or I'll kick your nuts into your stomach. I'm here for you Mike. Get up. (Long Pause) Get your ass up!

Griffin stands up and instructs his comrades to remain seated as he comes face to face with his biggest rival.

Griffin: What do you want Greg? Are you here to tell me that since you won some little battle royal that you're coming after my title now? You know you cannot beat me Greg, what makes anything different now that you have come back from crying your eyes out back in Denver?

Tantalus: I'll tell you what makes it different Mike. I'm different now. Last week, I came back and won that battle royal. Tonight, I'll win against Scythe, then I'll win against Romeo and then I'll win against Jaguar so I can win against you. I'm back, refocused and better than ever, and once I win this thing, I'm coming for you at The Symphony of Destruction. I will take that title from you in San Francisco and there isn't a damn thing that you, or any of you other assholes can do about it!

Tantalus turns his back to The Legacy and exits the room, leaving all men speechless in their reactions to his comments.

SEGMENT 9:  BACKSTAGE:

The camera settles upon Renegade, Paul Dawkins, and Liz Rush. The crowd cheers for the trio, who are walking through the hallways.

Renegade: Man, there is no stopping us now! The way you took out The Legacy at Animosity was beautiful!

Rush: We’re glad to have you back, Paul. I really missed you.

Dawkins: Oh, I missed you too. And Renegade is right, because now that I’m back, we can really do some damage.

Rush: Speaking of, I have a match coming up that I have to get ready for.

Dawkins: Want us to come out with you?

Rush: Thanks, but I got this one. Just make sure that you’re cheering for me!

Dawkins: You got it.

Rush leaves and Dawkins looks on. Renegade nudges his arm.

Renegade: I haven’t seen her that happy for a while.

Wellington: Of course you haven’t, you simpleton.

The cocky superstar, Dexter P. Wellington and his butler Winston walk up to Renegade and Dawkins, who don’t care for his vulgarity.

Renegade: What’s that supposed to mean?

Wellington: It should be quite obvious, except to a simpleton. You’re merely a half-man. What could someone like you possibly do to have made her show her happiness? Why if she was with me during the time that her friend was away, she would have forgotten all about Dawkins here. Isn’t that right, Winston?

Winston: Yes, sir.

Dawkins: You lousy son of a-

Renegade: Sorry, but let me take this, Paul. I don’t know where you get the nerve to insult us, but it’s going to stop.

Wellington: And just what do you intend to do about it?

Renegade: I’m going to do what I came to this company to do. I’m gonna wrestle, and you’re next on my list.

Wellington: Oh, spare me. Winston!

Winston: Sir?

Wellington: Have I already faced this peon?

Winston: You have, sir.

Wellington: And has he defeated me?

Winston: Not to my recollection, sir. It was you, in fact, who won.

Wellington: There you have it. So you see, it would be a waste of my time to have to go and defeat you again, unless of course...you put your Progressive title on the line.

Renegade: Hah! If that’s all it’s going to take, then it’ll be pleasure to take you down.

Wellington: I hope you don’t regret those words.

Renegade: The only thing I regret is that I wasn’t the first one to pin you and end your streak. But I’ll be more than happy to be the second.

Wellington’s confident smile fades away. He instead stares coldly into Renegade’s eyes.

Wellington: We’ll see about that. Winston!

The cocky superstar leaves the scene, and is followed by Winston. Renegade sneers at Wellington as he leaves, and Dawkins pats him on the back

SEGMENT 10:  MATCH 3:  LIZ RUSH VS. JADE VS. CAMIEKO VS. DANA CHAPMAN:
Referee:  Billy Vargas
“Hot Like Fire” by the late Aaliyah plays in the background, and the crowd cheers for the Hot Girl, Camieko! She walks down to the ring, where Dana Chapman already stands inside, awaiting the rest of her competition. Camieko steps into the ring and nods to Chapman before posing for the crowd. Shortly after, "Thick Skin" by Joydrop suddenly hits, and Liz Rush makes her way onto the stage to a huge ovation! Camieko and Chapman are soon joined by Rush, who enters the ring energetically. Moments later, “Zerospace” by Kidneythieves hits, and cheers from the audience rush to greet Jade! She heads down the aisle and slides into the ring with her opponents.

Ferrara: We have four women in there at the same time. Billy Vargas is a referee.

Troy: Maybe, but all of them will be facing each other at the same time! That’s just a recipe for chaos!

Ferrara: That’s right, Troy. It’s an elimination match, and the last one standing will have a Women’s title shot at the Symphony of Destruction!

Troy: And it all starts right here, right now!

Vargas calls for the bell to sound, and all four women jump into the fray. Jade takes up the fight with Chapman, while Rush and Camieko take it to each other. Camieko launches Rush into a corner, who hits it hard and stumbles back. Camieko lifts up Rush from behind and goes for a back suplex, but Rush lands on her feet behind Camieko and rolls her up! One! Two! Camieko kicks out! They both get up to a vertical base, and Camieko is shocked that she almost lost so easily.

Troy: Camieko let her guard down for a moment and almost got pinned by Liz Rush!

Ferrara: I don’t think she’ll let that happen again, Troy!

On the other side of the ring Jade and Chapman are locked up hard. Jade manages to push Chapman against the ropes before forcing her to bounce off them. Jade rushes in behind, and when Chapman hits the opposite side, Jade turns her inside out with a sick clothesline! The former Women’s Champion goes for a pin cover, but she only gets a two count. Undaunted, Jade lifts Chapman back up.

Ferrara: Dana Chapman won’t give up that easily.

Jade pulls Chapman in close to go for a suplex, but Chapman counters out by shoving Jade into the ropes! Jade hits the cables and comes back to where Chapman is waiting, but Jade stops short and boots Chapman in the midsection before destroying her with the Side Effect!

Troy: Jade hit that move out of nowhere!

Ferrara: Go for the cover!

Jade hooks the far leg... One! Two! Yes, three!

Troy: And that does it for Dana Chapman, but that was a good effort!

With only Jade, Camieko, and Rush left in the ring, Jade takes a breather while the other two battle it out. Camieko staggers Rush several rights, before sending a boot into her stomach. With Rush hunched over, Camieko grabs her and sends her head first into the mat with a DDT! Camieko heads into a corner and signals out to the crowd, prompting a large amount of cheers! She climbs onto the turnbuckle and takes flight, but the St. Kinard Splash misses when Rush rolls out of the way! Camieko clutches her just as she stumbles back up to her feet, but Rush is right behind her. She goes down and rolls up Camieko! One, two, three!

Troy: And then there were two!

Ferrara: The rollup didn’t work the first time, but Rush managed to get Camieko with it the second time!

Troy: Now it’s between Jade and Rush for a shot at the title!

Rush rises up in momentary victory, but Jade is waiting there patiently. Once she sees her moment, Jade goes in for a second Side Effect! But Rush manages to slip out of it and catches Jade with a sudden Cobra Clutch Bomb! Liz makes the cover! One! Two! Three!

Troy: Oh my god! Rush found her way out of the Side Effect and finished off Jade!

Ferrara: That means that she’s going to get a shot at the title!

“Thick Skin” pumps over the speakers, and Rush raises her arm in triumph, with the crowd cheering behind her! However, out of the corner of her eye, she catches Keiko Ishida standing on the stage. Bearing the Women’s belt on her shoulder, Ishida stares down her challenger, while Rush thinks out loud and motions for the belt. The crowd continues its cheering as we head into a commercial.
WINNER AT 7:02:  LIZ RUSH

SEGMENT 11:  JUMBTRON:
Evanescence’s “Thoughtless” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Symphony of Destruction Report.”  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O’Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Symphony of Destruction logo.

O’Brien:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O’Brien and this is the Symphony of Destruction report.  Folks, we’re just 25 days away from what promises to be one of the biggest pay-per-view spectaculars in the history of the PWA, Symphony of Destruction, live from
SBC Park in San Francisco, California on June 11!  The centerpiece of this incredible event is the third-annual Symphony of Destruction match itself!  The Symphony of Destruction will consist of thirty PWA superstars, each randomly drawing a number from one to thirty.  Numbers one and two will start the match, with a new superstar entering every two minutes thereafter.  Fans from last year will remember the one huge difference that separates the Symphony of Destruction from a Royal Rumble: in a Royal Rumble, elimination can be scored only via tossing your opponent over the top rope and to the arena floor.  In the Symphony of Destruction, fighting on the outside of the ring is completely legal and, often, encouraged.  No one can be eliminated by being tossed over the top rope.  There are only two ways to eliminate an opponent: by pinning them to the mat, 1, 2, 3, or by forcing them to submit.  The Symphony of Destruction gives you all the suspense and intrigue of a Royal Rumble, but the added bonus of having to pin your opponent or make them submit to determine a true and clear winner.  The last man standing on June 11 after all 30 have entered will be declared the winner and will advance straight to Everlasting Epic IV on August 20, emanating from four different countries, to challenge for whichever world championship he chooses!  Thus far, ten superstars have entered the Symphony of Destruction, and they are International Champion Jackie Baccaro, Progressive Champion Renegade, Paul Dawkins, Superstar Scott Hosemann, Darrin Giles, Justin Schenck, Dexter P. Wellington, Vladimir Vydrina, Jon Dulberg, and James Biamonte!  Twenty slots are still open for this incredible match, and we will bring more participants to you next week on Frequency.

Also in store for this spectacular pay-per-view will be a defense of the PWA World Heavyweight Championship by
Hollywood Mike Griffin against the winner of the ongoing tournament for a title shot!  Who will Griffin defend the gold against?

Plus, Evanescence will be in attendance to perform “Thoughtless,” the show’s theme, live!

That’s all for this week, folks.  More to come next week!  For the Symphony of Destruction report, I’m Ron O’Brien, saying see you then!

SEGMENT 12:  MATCH 4:  TOURNAMENT MATCH – FIRST ROUND:  SCYTHE VS. GREG TANTALUS:
Referee:  Tom Stevens
The crowd is ready for main event action as the entrance begins to cloud with smoke. Linkin Park's "With You" booms through the speakers, amplifying the fans' energy as Scythe begins to make his entrance. The Modern-Day Samurai rushes through the entrance to a huge array of cheers, looking focused on moving forward in the tournament as he walks down the long ramp and slides into the ring.

Troy: Scythe has been focused on regaining the PWA Title for most of the year now. He had a shot against Romeo, but was beaten. He's been trying to get back to that level ever since, and tonight could be a big step in that direction.

Scythe climbs up on the turnbuckles and poses for the crowd until the house lights do down and Lacuna Coil's "Heaven's A Lie" begins to play. The crowd cheers wildly as a silhouette appears at the top of the ramp, but it soon shows the familiar site of Greg Tantalus as he marches down the ramp to the ring.

Troy: Greg Tantalus returned to action to win the 20-man invitational battle royal last week. That secured him this spot in the tournament and according to what he said earlier, he is out to win it all in a big way.

Ferrara: There is no love lost between these two either. Scythe and Tantalus have never gotten along, and I'm positive that they won't tonight because there is a potential title shot on the line.

Tantalus poses against the ropes and then on the turnbuckles before climbing down and turning his attention to Scythe. Their eyes lock, the bell sounds, and the action gets underway.

Both men lock up in the middle of the ring, with Scythe using his power to gain an advantage. Tantalus uses his technical edge to turn into a go-behind and take Scythe down with a leg trip before clamping on a side headlock. Scythe gets to his feet and Tantalus scores with a takedown, but Scythe wraps him in a head scissors.

Tantalus tries to find an escape and does by forcing himself up, but Scythe rolls him into a sunset flip position. Tom Stevens counts 1, 2, but Tantalus reverses for his own two count before Scythe reverses that into another count of two. Both men spring to their feet and the crowd cheers at their display of wrestling expertise.

Troy: Neither man has gotten an advantage thus far.

They lock up again, but this time sees Tantalus deliver a knee to the midsection. He acts quickly enough to take Scythe down with a snap suplex before hitting the ropes and nailing him with an elbow drop to the chest. Tantalus covers and gets a two count.

He gets Scythe up and backs him into the ropes before lacing into his chest with a chop. An Irish whip follows, but Scythe reverses it. He tries a clothesline, but Tantalus ducks under and hits the other side. The Smooth One returns, but cannot avoid the double hand chop that Scythe drills into his chest with huge impact!

Tantalus gets back up, but Scythe blasts him with a dropkick that sends him reeling backwards into a corner. Scythe hops onto the turnbuckles and drills Tantalus with right hands, but Tantalus manages to grab him and nail him with a powerbomb!

Troy: Big powerbomb from Tantalus there!

Ferrara: And now he's going up to the top! This could do it!

Scythe is flat on his back as Tantalus hurries up to the top rope. Cameras flash as Tantalus tries his trademark 450-degree splash, but all he gets is canvas to the chest as Scythe rolls out of the way!

Ferrara: Greg just crashed and burned right there!

Troy: Scythe has a golden opportunity to advance now!

Scythe turns Tantalus onto his back before beginning his climb up to the top rope. Scythe flies off for The Diving Blade, but Tantalus gets his knees up and drives them right into his midsection!

Tantalus reacts quickly by getting up and grabbing Scythe in a front facelock. He lifts him up for The Big O, but Scythe floats over him and escapes the move. He gets in a dropkick to Tantalus' back, which sends him barreling into Stevens!

Ferrara: The referee just went down!

Troy: Both of these men are down too!

As if it were on cue, the crowd boos as Hollywood Mike Griffin sprints out, followed by Jonathan Brett, Steve Beovich, and Greg Price.

Troy: The Legacy is out here to ruin this match!

Ferrara: You can't prove that!

Troy: Give them a second!

Brett lifts Tantalus up, allowing the Tag Champions to pound away on him while Griffin merely looks on in the background. Tantalus is already out of it when Griffin unhooks his PWA Championship belt and cracks him in the face with it! Scythe begins to get up, so Griffin turns around and nails him with the belt as well!

Troy: Mike Griffin has just laid both of these guys out, and now he's leaving!

Ferrara: The Naturals are grabbing Scythe though!

With both men out cold, Beovich and Price grab Scythe by the arm and lay him on top of Tantalus. Brett gets the referee back into position, and Stevens counts to three!

Troy: Wait a minute!

Ferrara: Scythe doesn't even know he's won!

Troy: If he did, he wouldn't take the win. The Legacy just knocked out both of these men and now Greg Tantalus is out of the tournament!

Ferrara: I guess it doesn't pay off to threaten these guys. Tantalus just paid a dear price for that.

Stevens finally realizes that both men are out cold and he calls for help from the back as Justin Schenck and Darrin Giles join the others to admire their handiwork as Frequency comes to a close.
