Segment 1 – Backstage

The PWA logo flashes across the screen and the shot opens in the parking lot, where a small crowd has formed. After loud revving sounds are heard, the group parts like the Red Sea as GI Jew speeds past them on his customer motorcycle. After pulling to a stop, Jew unhooks his bag from the bike and tosses his over his shoulder before heading inside the FleetCenter for what is undoubtedly the biggest matchup of his career.

Segment 2 – Opening

The opening montage for Overdrive begins and we are taken inside the fantastic FleetCenter, where an amazing pyrotechnics display lights up the Animosity set. As Sevendust’s “Enemy” blares, we are taken to the announce table.

Cade: Hello everybody and welcome to Overdrive! I’m Nick Cade, alongside Rick Madsen, and it sure feels good to be back home in the United States Rick!

Madsen: We had a great time in Europe, but I’m not so sure I like coming here to Boston first. They don’t like Yankee fans like myself up here.

Cade: Well besides all that, we’ve got a tremendous event coming up tonight. Animosity is going to be one of the most electric events ever witnessed, and we just saw one competitor for tonight’s main event, GI Jew.

Madsen: GI Jew and Vulture will get it on right here tonight, but only one man will walk out of Boston as the PWA Champion. Everyone, especially Lauren Tantalus, has kept a close eye on the condition of Vulture’s neck. Will that be a factor tonight?

Cade:  It very well could be Rick. We’re also going to witness Mike Tortorici and The Machine in a rematch from last year’s Animosity, The Hot Boy$ against Solomon, Infernus and Tony Annetta, and Mike Troha against Greg Tantalus, with so much more. But for now, let’s send things over to Traci Reed, who is with the International Champion.

Segment 3 – Backstage

We are taken to the interview area, where Traci Reed is with Dee Licious and Mike Grieco.

Reed: Mike, Dee, last month we saw you culminate your plan in order to win the International Title from Romeo in a ladder match. Now you are about to defend the title for the first time on pay-per-view TV against Rudy Montenora. What are your thoughts Mike?

Grieco: Traci, my confidence is through the roof right now. Just look at myself and Rudy. Last month, I beat Romeo to win the International Title. I’ve been powerbombing guys all over the world since. I’m on fire right now. But let’s look at Rudy. This guy came in last August with a ton of hype and what has he amounted to? A big zero! Rudy Montenora is a joke, and tonight, I’m going to expose him for the sham that he is. Come on Dee.

Grieco and Dee leave the set as we go to our first commercial break.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 4 – Backstage

We are taken into a locker room, where Walter Gindin is talking to all four of his clients.

Gindin: Alright guys, you the deal. Just like last month, we go out there, we dominate, we go home. Jade, you know exactly what to do tonight. As for you guys, no two men can beat you three. I don’t care how many tag team titles they’ve won, you go out there and destroy the Hot Boy$ tonight. Got it?

All four yell excitedly, fired up about their upcoming matches this evening.

Segment 5 – Backstage

We head back to the interview area, where Traci Reed is with Camieko.

Reed: Camieko, we have just seen Walter Gindin lay out his gameplan tonight. You are moments away from going one-on-one with Jade for the Women’s Title. How are you feeling?

Camieko: Two words Traci: PISSED OFF! For months, I have sat back with Walter and his gang, waiting to have my moment in the sun. Yet what did I get for my hard work? I got Jade coming from out of nowhere to steal the glory. The last time we talked, she jumped me from behind. Well tonight, there will be no blindside attacks. Tonight, I will leave here as the brand new PWA Women’s Champion!

Segment 6 – Backstage

The camera cuts to a backstage hallway, where Jonathan Brett is in search of his locker room. He is halfway down the hall when he bumps into Greg Tantalus.

Tantalus: What’s up Jon?

Brett: (Nodding) Greg.

Tantalus: Listen; I know you’ve got a huge match with Scythe tonight. He’s a tough competitor, I know all about that. But I also have a high-profile match tonight. You know, me and Troha.

Brett: Yeah.

Tantalus: Well I know you and I go back a long way my friend, and I just wanted to know if you had my back out there tonight.

Troha: (Walking up behind Brett) Did I hear you right Greg? You want to know if he has your back? Let me make one thing real clear to you. This match wouldn’t even be happening if you and Griffin got the job done last month at Requiem. You blew the 2-on-1 advantage, not me. So with that said, Jon, you should have MY back.

Troha and Tantalus bicker until Brett loudly breaks up the noise.

Brett: Alright guys, enough! I am so fed up with this whole saving TFU thing. Face it, we got beat. Both of you want me in your corner tonight, but neither of you has given me any advice about my match tonight. It’s all about you guys, and during your match, it’ll say that way. I’ve already picked my side, and that side…is my side. Good luck.

Brett storms off, leaving Troha and Tantalus perplexed and angered in his wake.

Segment 7 – Backstage

We head back out to the parking lot, where a long, stretch Hummer pulls to a halt. The driver quickly hops out and opens the back door, producing “Not That” Rodney King, Showtime Damon Savage and Da Banditz. All carry looks of focus as they unruffled their clothes and quietly walk into the FleetCenter.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Segment 8 – Jumbotron

We are shown a clip from last year’s Animosity event; featuring a brutal no holds barred matchup between The Machine and Mike Tortorici.

Machine and Tortorici begin to stir at roughly the same time, with each of them getting to a vertical base.  However, it is Tortorici that shows the first signs of offense, grabbing Machine in position for the Crucifix Powerbomb.  He sets up Machine, and lands his finisher with unprecedented impact as Jose Soares crawls back into the ring!  Tortorici covers as Soares gets into position.  One…………… Two…………… Three!

Segment 9 – Backstage

The camera goes to a tight shot outside of Mike Tortorici’s locker room, where Scott Cornelius is with the former PWA and CAW Champion.

Cornelius: Mike, this is a very important evening for you. Since you arrived in the PWA, there has been no enemy bitterer for you than The Machine. We just saw a clip from last year’s Animosity event, in which you defeated The Machine. Will you be able to repeat that feat tonight?

Tortorici: Scott, just run down all the things that The Machine has done to me in recent weeks. He’s gotten involved in my matches repeatedly, and he even cost me a shot at the PWA Title last week in Italy against Vulture. Now I’m sure I’ll win the PWA Title back, but tonight my focus remains solely on The Machine. The answer to your question is simple Scott. The answer is yes.

Segment 10 – Backstage

We head back to the interview area, where Traci Reed is with Justin Schenck, Scott Hosemann and Briggs.

Traci: Justin, your team has a huge opportunity to win the PWA Tag Team Championship tonight. However, they do not need to be beaten to lose the match. Does that worry you at all?

Schenck: Of course it doesn’t Traci. Have you even seen this team before? Look at The Superstar. This man knows all about Animosity Traci. Two years ago, he beat 5 other men to retain the CAW Title, all in one match! And look at his partner. 6’6”, 320 pounds of brute force. With Scott Hosemann and Briggs, Dawkins, Baccaro and those mangy Banditz don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell.

Segment 11 – Backstage

We head back out to the parking lot, where a shiny, black Lexus pulls to a stop. As usual, its rims continue to twirl as Romeo and Jaguar step out of the car. The indoor crowd cheers loudly as The Hot Boy$ walk into the arena with a huge challenge awaiting them.

Cade: Overdrive wouldn’t be Overdrive without a typical fashionably late arrival from the Hot Boy$!

Madsen: Well I hope they’re ready for the fight they have tonight.

Cade: If any team can pull that win off, we’re looking at them right now. We’re out of time folks; let’s send it over to Victory Troy and Paul Ferrara. Enjoy the show!
