TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 2006 * PALAIS OMNISPORTS DE PARIS-BERCY * PARIS, FRANCE

Back from break, the camera takes us ringside to a live shot of Victor Troy and Scott Hosemann.

Troy: Alright folks, still to come, it’s Jackie Baccaro and Briggs against Jason Calysto and Briggs. Tonight, we’ve already seen a new Women’s Champion crowned tonight, and we’ve heard the blockbuster announcement that Kerry Cox and Bryan Conroy will do battle at Animosity in a winner-takes-all match, with Cox putting the PWA itself on the line against Conroy’s wrestler contract and ownership rights to the Golden Ring tournament. Speaking of, let’s fill you in on what’s taken place thus far in the Golden Ring tournament. The tournament continued this past weekend, with the culmination of the first round on Friday and Saturday night, and there were definitely some shockers. You can all the results from this tournament as of the end of this past weekend
HERE. After those matches, the brackets now look like THIS.

Hosemann: You know, Troy, there were some shocking things, as you said, that took place in the tournament that took place this past weekend, but to me, the most surprising of all was to see Henry Swanson, who hasn’t been seen in the PWA for years, defeat SCYTHE of all people, in the first round. Granted, the win only happened due to extensive interference of the Army of the Damned, but it’s still shocking and still probably messed up a bunch of peoples’ brackets to have Scythe out in the first round.

Troy: Absolutely. Also, thankfully, Jaguar won his first round match against Jeff Knakal, as he keeps the dream alive at least one more week. Jaguar is scheduled to face reigning PWA Progressive Champion Dex Wellington this Sunday in round two. We wish him the best of luck. We also saw, in two straight nights, John Wolfe and Soaring Phoenix accidentally screw each other out of the tournament. Those two guys, whether they like each other or they don’t, we’ll never tell, but they have a way of always fouling things up for each other.

Hosemann: Well Troy, former PWA star Vladimir Vydrina advanced over Soaring Phoenix due to botched help from John Wolfe trying to counteract the interference of his wife Natasha and promoter Rodney King, and then, the next night, during a ref bump, Phoenix “returned the favor,” and I use that term loosely, by “inadvertently” costing Wolfe his match against former FSW Champion Zach Beriloff, a name that hasn’t been heard in this company, for sure, since FSW went out of business. To me, it is inevitable that they will square off one-on-one someday, and given the events of this past weekend, I think it could be sooner rather than later.

Troy: Also Scott, we learned that the final three rounds of this tournament will now take place on Frequency, on May 9, 16, 23, and the finals on our 200th episode, May 30 in Rockefeller Center, New York City.

Hosemann: That just adds a whole new dimension to it, and I am extra psyched! Plus, the fact that if Cox wins against Conroy at Animosity, a future PWA title shot is also at stake? Troy, I am beyond pumped for the rest of this tournament.

Troy: As well you should be, Scott. Best of luck to you in round two this weekend. Folks, the Golden Ring tournament continues this Friday and Saturday night at
New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom with the entire second round, the round of 32. We’ll be sure to update you on all that took place right here next week.

The camera then travels backstage, where we catch up with Paul Epton and John Wolfe.

Epton: Did you hear that? John, everyone knows it. It’s inevitable. You and
Phoenix need to get in the ring and find out who the better man is. You guys are the reasons the other guy is gone from the Golden Ring. You screwed each other out of the Progressive title at Requiem. He screwed you out of a Progressive title shot last week.

Wolfe: No Paul. You did that.

Epton: Alright alright, maybe I did. But I’m trying to earn a living here too. The point here is that you need to challenge Soaring
Phoenix to a beat so that you can beat his arse, and we can all move on.

Wolfe: Let him win a title first, and then I’ll have a reason to.

Epton: Well, you’re going to get a chance next week. That’s what I wanted to talk to you about.

Wolfe: What do you mean?

Epton: I got us a match next week, John. You and I will be squaring off against Dexter Wellington and Soaring
Phoenix. They’re gonna have to be partners less than a week before Animosity, and it’ll be against us!

Wolfe: What do I have to gain from this?

Epton: Do I have to spell it out for you? We take out the guys fighting for the Progressive title at Animosity, then when Animosity’s over and they need new challengers, where do you think they’ll look?

Wolfe: You’ve got a point.

Epton: Of course I do.

Epton and Wolfe then exit, and we take a commercial break.

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Back from commercial, “More Human Than Human” by White Zombie blares onto the speakers, and the fans begin booing as Justin Schenck leads The Omega Steve Beovich to the ring. Schenck takes his position on the outside and Beovich loosens up in the ring, and then “Smash Sumthin” by Redman hits, and the fans continue their booing as another Schenck client, Infernus, makes his way to the ring. Infernus walks into the ring, taking his place next to Beovich, and the two await their final opposition in this triple threat match. That opposition comes in the form of PWA Tag Team Champion Paul Dawkins, who emerges to a huge ovation, and accompanied by his girlfriend Liz Rush, as “Black” by Sevendust blares throughout the arena. Dawkins takes his place in the ring, and as soon as the bell sounds, Beovich and Infernus storm Dawkins and attack him in a double-team assault!

Troy: Oh come on! How fair is this?!

Hosemann: How naïve ARE you,
Troy? This is going to be the same thing that’s in store for the champions at Animosity. All three of their partners are banned from ringside tonight, but come Animosity, it’s going to be the same deal, just with full teams. It’s two Legacy teams that will be working together to allow SOMEONE to get the titles off Dawkins and Renegade, and that’s all there is to it.

* TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: PWA TAG TEAM CHAMPION PAUL DAWKINS VS. INFERNUS VS. THE OMEGA STEVE BEOVICH *
Referee: Matt Hansen

Dawkins is quickly floored, as Infernus and Beovich proceed to do a violent and vicious number on him. Infernus downs Dawkins with a wild spinning heel kick, and Beovich follows it up with several stiff elbows to the gut. Beovich then lifts Dawkins up and whips him hard into the corner. With Dawkins dazed in the corner, Beovich grabs Infernus and whips him hard across the ring into Dawkins, and then follows it up with a huge running splash of his own! Dawkins crumbles to the mat in a heap, and the fans boo loudly at the predicament.

Troy: These fans are voicing their displeasure and I don’t blame them!

Hosemann: They can be displeased all the want, but this is the situation the champs have now found themselves in, thanks to the victory by Mike Griffin and Infernus last week.

Beovich locks Dawkins in a hard grapevine and Infernus pounds away on the tag team champion for good measure simultaneously. However, Dawkins is able to power himself to the ropes. Beovich and Infernus continue the double-team, until Dawkins springs up out of nowhere and floors them both hard with a double clothesline! The fans cheer loudly, trying to energize Dawkins and pull him through this endeavor, and he seems to respond. Infernus gets up, and Dawkins immediately hiptosses him to the mat! Beovich gets up, and Dawkins floors him with a hard dropkick! Schenck then jumps onto the apron, trying to cause a distraction, but Liz Rush walks over and yanks Schenck down from the apron to a huge ovation! However, the sequence takes just long enough for Infernus and Beovich to get back to their feet, turn around a partially distracted Dawkins, and nail him with a double flapjack! From there, Beovich whips Dawkins against the ropes, and torpedoes him with a furious spinebuster! Now, Beovich goes to the top rope, and nails his impressive Extreme Precision frog splash! Beovich hooks the leg… one, two, three.

Troy: I don’t believe this! What a sham!

Hosemann: It’s hardly a sham,
Troy. Beovich won this match exactly according to the rules of this contest.

Troy: Scott, this was nothing but a damn handicapped match!

Hosemann: Well Troy, the champions have 11 days to figure out a way to counteract this, because if they don’t, those belts will be going to the Legacy one way or another.

The fans boo loudly as “More Human Than Human” replays. Beovich celebrates his victory, but exits right alongside Schenck and Infernus. In the ring, Dawkins glares angrily at the Legacy, with Liz Rush standing over him, concerned, as we take a commercial break.

* WINNER VIA PINFALL: THE OMEGA STEVE BEOVICH *

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

As we return, we see the International Champion Showtime Damon Savage walking through the backstage area. As he does so, he is stopped in his tracks by his most recent challenger James Biamonte. Conspicuous by her absence is Biamonte’s manager/girlfriend Jade. Biamonte and Showtime stare each other down for several moments before either says a word. Biamonte is the first to speak.

Biamonte: First off, congratulations on beating me at Requiem. But know now that it will never happen again.

Showtime: Oh it will never happen again, but that’s because your ass is at the back of the line now. I beat you.

Biamonte: Oh is that how it’s gonna be? Showtime, I can beat you any time, any place.

Just then, Romeo, Showtime’s Animosity challenger, walks onto the scene.

Romeo: You CAN, maybe, but you never DID. Biamonte, you lost, your time is up, and you’re through. It’s my time to shine, right Showtime?

Showtime: We’ll see who’s shining when it’s all over.

Biamonte: Oh no, believe me, I’m NOT taking no for an answer. Showtime, I WILL get another crack at that title, and when I do, the belt is coming back home. As for you Romeo, you want to stick your nose in places it don’t belong? I believe you and I have ourselves a little date in the second round of the Golden Ring tournament this Sunday. Then I’ll prove to the world that the wrong man is getting the Animosity shot, and I’ll remedy the situation in due time.

Romeo: You’re living in a fantasy world, Biamonte. You’ll find out Sunday.

Showtime: You’re BOTH living in fantasy worlds if you think this title is going anywhere. Face it, both of you. Biamonte, your ass can’t beat me, and Romeo, your ass can’t touch me. You can argue amongst yourselves over who is better, but it don’t matter, because this title’s mine and that ain’t changing. I’m out.

Showtime then walks away and Romeo and Biamonte glare at him angrily as he exits and we take a break.

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

TOOL’s “Jambi” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads “PWA Animosity Report.”  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O'Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Animosity logo.

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Back from break, the Paris crowd is buzzing and we are ready for our main event. “Trust” by Sevendust blares onto the speakers, and the fans begin booing loudly as Briggs makes his way to the ring, accompanied by his manager Walter Gindin. Gindin settles himself on the outside as Briggs readies himself in the ring.

Troy: Gindin sure is having a good night thus far, Scott. We’ve already seen Keiko Ishida crowned new Women’s Champion tonight.

Hosemann: We have, and he’s not about to stop there. This is a big time tag team match here tonight, and Gindin wants nothing less than a victory.

As Briggs gets situated in the ring, “Things Done Changed” by Notorious BIG hits the speakers, and the fans begin booing raucously as the PWA World Heavyweight Champion Jackie Baccaro makes his way down the aisle, accompanied by manager Magnifica. The two receive hate-filled boos as they head down to the ring, unfazed by the extremely negative reaction they are met with.

Briggs and Baccaro meet up in the ring and begin conversing, and “Hear Me” by Darkseed explodes onto the speakers, sending the fans into a frenzy as the Alaskan Monster Solomon starts down the aisle! Solomon walks down the aisle and pauses at the foot of the ramp, jawing with Briggs from his position as he waits. Then, moments later, “Hey You” by Simon Says blares onto the speakers, and Greg Tantalus, the number one contender to the PWA Championship, emerges to a huge ovation! Tantalus wastes no time heading down to the ring, meeting Solomon at the foot of the ramp, and the two head into the ring, and immediately begin taking it to their respective Animosity competition!

Troy: Here we go!

Hosemann: This match should be something!

* PWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JACKIE BACCARO & BRIGGS VS. GREG TANTALUS & SOLOMON *
Referee: Tom Stevens
Solomon and Briggs quickly battle their way out of the ring, leaving Baccaro and Tantalus to slug it out in the middle of the ring to a huge ovation! Adrenaline pumping, Tantalus gets the advantage in the early going of the fray, nailing Baccaro with repeated rights and lefts and knocking him off balance! Tantalus then whips Baccaro against the ropes and nails him with a huge back body drop upon his return! Baccaro gets up, and Tantalus runs at him and nails him with a hard running knee to the head that knocks him off balance and sends Baccaro tumbling out of the ring to a tremendous ovation! The fans cheer wildly and Tantalus plays to them!

Troy: Listen to this crowd! They are beyond energized!

Hosemann: They want so bad for Tantalus to carry some momentum into Animosity, and it looks like he’s on the fast track right now to doing exactly that!

Baccaro rolls out of the ring, and slows it down, conversing with Magnifica before re-entering the ring. Solomon and Briggs have concluded their brawling, and now stand firmly in their respective corners. Baccaro, at length, climbs back into the ring, and dares Tantalus to lock up with him. Tantalus obliges, and Baccaro quickly breaks up the lockup with a knee to the midsection, followed immediately by a hard, swift bodyslam to the mat. Baccaro then bounces himself off the ropes and nails Tantalus with a hard elbow to the midsection. With Tantalus reeling on the mat, Baccaro tags Briggs into the match. Briggs enters the ring and immediately begins throwing his weight around, lifting Tantalus up by the throat and heaving him halfway across the ring! Briggs then lifts him up again and whips him viciously into the corner, so hard that Tantalus’ back smacks against the buckles and he is violently propelled to the mat!

Troy: My God!

Hosemann: This Briggs is vicious, Troy! Trust me, I know!

Briggs stands Tantalus up and begins pounding him with brutal knife-edge chops to the chest, chops that reverberate throughout the arena. Briggs whips Tantalus against the ropes, but Tantalus ducks under a clothesline attempt, hits off the opposite ropes, and nails Briggs with a running knee to the head! Briggs is stunned, but quickly shakes off the cobwebs and charges at Tantalus. However, Tantalus catches him in a hard spinebuster and lunges at his corner, making the tag in to Solomon!

Troy: He made the tag! Now here comes Solomon!

Hosemann: Business is picking up now!

Solomon enters and Briggs gets to his feet, and the two monsters begin slugging it out right in the center of the ring! Solomon dazes Briggs with a hard right, but Briggs gives it right back to him! The two behemoths continue their brawling until they tumble out of the ring and to the arena floor, still trying to tear each other’s heads off!

Troy: Look at these two go!

Hosemann: They are both here with one goal tonight, Troy, and that is to destroy the other!

Solomon and Briggs brawl furiously on the outside as the referee tries to maintain order. However, with Solomon and Briggs outside, Tantalus and Baccaro make their way into the ring, and continue their own brawling! The fans cheer this, until Magnifica enters the ring and nails Tantalus with a huge low blow, right in front of referee Tom Stevens! Stevens immediately signals for a disqualification, but this only prompts Baccaro and Magnifica to unleash a violent two-on-one assault on the number one contender. Solomon and Briggs, meanwhile, have battled into the crowd and out of sight. Baccaro and Magnifica continue to do a number on Tantalus, and Magnifica calls for Baccaro to deliver the Baccaro Bomb. However, before Baccaro can get the move off, Lauren Tantalus storms down the aisle with a chair in her hand to a huge ovation! Lauren enters the ring and cracks Baccaro in the back with it, prompting the fans to cheer loudly! Lauren then swings at Magnifica, but the she-devil grabs Baccaro, and the two quickly exit the ring. Lauren then checks on her brother, who is clutching the back of his head, as she yells at Baccaro and Magnifica, continuing to fend them off. We then go to ring announcer Lee Palmer.

Palmer: Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners as a result of a disqualification, Solomon and Greg Tantalus!

The fans cheer, and “Hey You” overtakes the speakers once more. The siblings Tantalus glare angrily at Baccaro and Magnifica from the ring, and the champion and his manager backpedal up the ring, smiling smugly as the cameras fade to black.

Troy: Listen to this crowd! Baccaro and Magnifica tried to gain an edge tonight, but thankfully his sister Lauren was around to prevent that!

Hosemann: Absolutely! Lauren Tantalus was able to save her brother tonight, but what’s going to happen next week?!

Troy: Who knows? We’ll find out then! Goodnight, everybody!
* WINNERS VIA DISQUALIFICATION: GREG TANTALUS & SOLOMON *
