Back from commercial, Scythe is walking through the backstage area when he
comes across Commissioner Ferrara.
Scythe: Hey Paul.
Scythe: Wait, what? What are you talking about?
Scythe: Hear what?
Scythe: And who is my partner?
Scythe: What?! No! I can’t team with him!
-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --
Back from
break, “Quake 1” by Nine Inch Nails overtakes the speakers, and the fans begin
booing rabidly as Walter Gindin leads the unit of Jonathan Brett and Keiko
Ishida to the ring for this next mixed tag team match.
Troy: This is quite the
assuming combination, huh Scott?
Hosemann: Absolutely. I hope Morgan Day really has a good mystery partner in
mind for tonight, because if she doesn’t, I have a feeling she is going to be
in a fair amount of trouble.
Brett and Ishida enter the ring, readying themselves,
as Gindin takes his place on the outside.

BREAK --
Back from break, “Dead Promises” by The Rasmus overtakes the speakers, and the
Hosemann: What a coup! Brett, Ishida, and Gindin don’t look so happy now!
Solomon meets Morgan at the foot of the ramp, and
the two roll into the ring, clearing it. Both Morgan’s and Solomon’s pyro go
off in the ring simultaneously, eliciting a huge pop from the capacity crowd.
Finally, the bell sounds, and Solomon demands to start the match off with
Jonathan Brett!
Hosemann: And he certainly picked a good vehicle to take care of that in!
* MIXED TAG
TEAM MATCH: SOLOMON & PWA WOMEN’S CHAMPION MORGAN DAY VS. JONATHAN BRETT
& KEIKO ISHIDA *
Referee: Tom Stevens
Brett gets into the ring and immediately commences
a heated staredown with his former stablemate. Brett shoves Solomon first, but Solomon shoves
him right back. Brett then rears back and slaps Solomon hard in the face, but
this just prompts Solomon to level Brett with a huge right hand to the jaw and
get this match rolling! Solomon nails Brett with repeated shots to the jaw,
staggering him, before whipping him hard into the corner and following him in
with a huge splash! Brett staggers out of the corner, and Solomon grabs him,
whips him into the opposite corner, and does the same, nailing him with a hard
splash! Solomon goes to grab him for a gorilla press slam, but Brett quickly
slips away and tags in Keiko Ishida.
Hosemann: Would you?
With Keiko in the ring, she points to Morgan Day,
demanding that Solomon tag the Women’s Champion into the ring. Solomon obliges,
and Morgan enters the ring, locking up with Keiko. Keiko establishes the
initial advantage from the lockup, cinching in a tight headlock on the
champion. However, Morgan is able to power out of it, downing Keiko with a hard
back suplex that energizes the crowd! Keiko springs back up, but Morgan
immediately downs her with a hard shining wizard! Morgan goes for the cover…
one, two, and Keiko just narrowly kicks out! Keiko then quickly retreats to the
corner and tags in Jonathan Brett, which prompts Morgan to tag in Solomon.
However, Gindin quickly calls off his troops, and Brett and Keiko leave the
ring to a chorus of hate-filled boos!
Hosemann: I think they’re leaving, Troy! I think Gindin has just taken Brett
and Ishida out of this match!
The boos resonate throughout the Staples Center as
the referee reaches the count of 10, and Morgan Day and Solomon are declared
winners via count-out. However, just as Gindin, Brett, and Ishida are almost
out of the arena, Solomon grabs a microphone.
Solomon: You know what, you three can
tuck your tails and run tonight, that’s fine. But there will be nowhere to run
at Salvation. Because Keiko Ishida, you will have nowhere to run when Morgan
Day kicks your ass again and retains her Women’s Championship. And Jonathan Brett,
I’ve got a little surprise for you. Right before this match, I stopped off at
Kerry Cox’s office and he granted me exactly what I want, and that’s a
one-on-one match with you March 11 at Salvation! And Brett, at Salvation, in
Hosemann: That’s huge!
The fans cheer thunderously as “Hear Me” replays on
the speakers and Solomon and Morgan are happy inside the ring. Meanwhile, Brett
has a look of shock on his face, Keiko has one of willingness to brawl, and
Gindin is noticeably scared and nervous of his squad’s prospects come
Salvation. The five commence a long staredown as we
head to commercial.

BREAK --
Lacuna Coil’s
“Our Truth” hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that
reads "PWA Salvation Report." From there, the shot takes us to
a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O'Brien, who is standing in front of a
backdrop featuring the Salvation logo.
O'Brien: Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Ron O'Brien and this is
the Salvation report. The Progressive Wrestling
The centerpiece of Salvation will be an eight-man single-elimination tournament
for the vacant PWA World Heavyweight Championship! We know that Jackie Baccaro,
Jaguar, Greg Tantalus, GI Jew, The Miracle Mike Troha, Hollywood Mike Griffin,
The Iceman Jason Calysto, and Da Playboi
Romeo comprise the field of eight, and there will be 15-minute time limits in
the first round, 30-minute caps in the second, and no limit in the finals, but
that’s about all we know! Brackets and opening round matches will be announced
as soon as the pay-per-view goes on the air! It’s sure to be unpredictable and
wild, but it’s also sure to crown a brand new PWA heavyweight champion of the
world!
In a ladder match for the International Championship, Showtime Damon Savage
puts his gold on the line against the Progressive Champion Dexter P.
Wellington! The Progressive title will NOT be on the line in this exciting
encounter!
The Tag Team Champions Paul Dawkins and Renegade will defend their belts
against the team of Army of the Damned leader Bishop Cross and his
less-than-enthusiastic partner Scythe. How will the two work
together? It’s sure to be an interesting match!
For the Women’s Championship, Morgan Day will defend the gold against
arch-rival Keiko Ishida!
And, Walter Gindin’s newest client Jonathan Brett
will try to snuff out his former client Solomon!
All this and more coming your way Saturday, March 11 from
Back at
ringside, “F*ckin in the Bushes” by Oasis blares onto
the speakers, and The Iceman Jason Calysto makes his way to the ring to a
thunderous ovation!
Troy: Alright folks, our eight-man
confrontation is up next! Stay with us, we’ll be right back!

BREAK --
As we return
from break, we see Jason Calysto, GI Jew, Romeo, Hollywood Mike Griffin, his
manager Justin Schenck, The Miracle Mike Troha, Jaguar, and Greg Tantalus
standing in the ring, with mediator Nick Cade, as “Things Done Changed” by
Notorious BIG thumps onto the speakers and the former PWA Champion Jackie
Baccaro makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Vulture. The two enter the
ring, and the attention turns to Cade.
Cade: Alright ladies and gentlemen, we
are just 11 days away from crowning a brand-new PWA Champion, as these eight
men will compete in a single-elimination tournament for the gold. Each of these
eight men have been granted time to speak, and give their thoughts on the
tournament to come, and tonight, we will provide that forum. First up…
The crowd boos as Baccaro yanks the microphone from Cade’s
hand and heaves him from the ring!
Baccaro: This is bullshit! You all know this
is bullshit! The seven of you are battling for one thing, and one thing only,
and that’s the right to steal my belt! And it doesn’t matter, because it’s not
going to happen! None of you can touch me, and anyone that steps into the ring
with me is going to find that out firsthand! I can’t be defeated! And all of
you are jokes! You don’t belong in the same ring with me! You don’t…
Baccaro finally shuts up as Tantalus pops him in the jaw with a right hand
to the joy of the crowd! However,
Hosemann: These eight men certainly don’t like each other, and certainly can’t
wait for Salvation!
