TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2006 * TOYOTA CENTER * HOUSTON, TEXAS

As we return from break, “Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse is blaring over the speakers and John Wolfe is making his way to the ring, accompanied by his tag team partner Paul Epton, to a sizeable ovation. Once Wolfe is inside, “Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart hits and the fans boo loudly at the arrival of Progressive Champion Dexter P. Wellington, alongside Winston.
Wellington steps into the ring and the bell sounds.

Troy: Alright, we’ve got the Progressive Championship up for grabs here.

Hosemann: Yeah Troy, and with the roll Wolfe has been on lately, we just may see a new champion tonight.

* PWA PROGRESSIVE CHAMPIONSHIP: DEXTER P.
WELLINGTON © VS. JOHN WOLFE *
Referee: Matt Hansen
The bell sounds, and Wolfe immediately goes after Wellington, taking the fight right to him. Wolfe pounds on Wellington viciously, tossing him all around the right, to the delight of the crowd. Wellington begs for mercy, but as soon as he has Wolfe suckered in, he lets loose with a thumb to the eye. Wolfe is stunned, and Wellington bounces up and downs Wolfe with a big bulldog.

Troy: What blatant chicanery!

Hosemann: Chicanery or not,
Wellington does what he has to do to get the job done on a nightly basis.

Wellington stomps away on Wolfe viciously and rips the turnbuckle pad off one of the turnbuckles. Paul Epton notices this and jumps onto the apron to point this out to the official. However, when Epton hops onto the apron, Wellington sucker punches him with a huge right hand to the face, knocking him off the apron, to the floor! Wellington now lifts Wolfe up, looking to do some damage with that exposed buckle, but Soaring Phoenix appears at the top of the ramp.

Troy: Soaring Phoenix! What the hell is he doing out here?!

Hosemann: I don’t know Troy, has he come to HELP John Wolfe?!

Phoenix makes his way to the ring stoically, and Wellington is wary of his presence. However, the distraction caused by Phoenix allows Wolfe to get back to his feet, spin Wellington around, and destroy him with a huge sideslam! Wolfe then signals for the chokeslam, grabbing Wellington by the throat! However, Winston jumps onto the apron… but Phoenix yanks him down! This, however, distracts the official, and Wellington uses this distraction to nail Wolfe with a low blow, and then, using a drop toehold, send Wolfe’s head crashing into the exposed buckle! The fans boo this, but when Phoenix sees it, he grabs the glass of brandy from Winston, enters the ring, and cracks it over the skull of Wellington, prompting an immediate disqualification!

Troy: What the hell did he do that for?!

Hosemann: I don’t know,
Troy! Did he intend to get Wolfe disqualified, or was he trying to spare Wolfe the pinfall loss? Because Troy, it looks like Wolfe is out cold!

Troy: He is, but so is Wellington, and Epton and Winston are barely moving! This is carnage out here and Soaring Phoenix is the only man standing!

The fans erupt with a mixed reaction as “Dance of the Warrior” hits the speakers and an emotionless Soaring Phoenix momentarily stands amidst the carnage before exiting to the back as we take another commercial break.
* WINNER VIA DISQUALIFICATION AND STILL PROGRESSIVE CHAMPION: DEXTER P. WELLINGTON *

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

Back from break, Rick Madsen is standing at the interview set with The Miracle Mike Troha.

Madsen: Mike Troha, just four days away from Temptation, what is going through your mind, knowing you will have a chance to become PWA Champion?

Troha: The same sort of stuff that goes through your head any time you have a chance to be champion, Rick. But believe me, I’m far from there. I have to win a tag team match, then win a battle royal, then beat the champion. I’ve left this pay-per-view as PWA Champion before, but only when I went in as champion. It’s going to be quite the hill to climb, for sure. But Rick, somehow, some way, I won’t let my fans down. At Temptation, I’m going to get the job done.

Madsen: Good luck to you.

Troha: Thanks.

The camera shifts backstage, where the PWA Champion Jackie Baccaro is stretching out, with his manager Vulture, Romeo, Keiko Ishida, and her manager Walter Gindin all in the backstage dressing room.

Vulture: Alright gentlemen, Keiko, the time is upon us. Let’s go do this. Rome, take out Calysto just like you did last week. Keiko, you neutralize Morgan, and Jackie, Tantalus is all yours. We all on the same page?

Everyone nods their heads approvingly.

Vulture: Alright then, let’s go!

Romeo, Keiko, and Walter exit first, and Baccaro and Vulture linger. They then exit together, a few steps behind Baccaro’s partners.

Vulture: You got this tonight, Giacomo?

Baccaro: As always.

Vulture: Tantalus is yours.

Baccaro: Oh he is. But I’m telling you now. If that bitch Morgan gets in my way, I’m chopping her ass down too.

A look of worry briefly fills Vulture’s face, but it escapes as soon as Baccaro looks back at him. Vulture doesn’t say another word, continuing to lead Baccaro to the ring as we take another break.

Troy: Our big six-person mixed tag team match is still to come tonight, folks! Stay with us!

Hosemann: I can’t wait!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

VAST's "Temptation" hits the speakers and we see a graphic appear on the screen that reads "PWA Temptation Report."  From there, the shot takes us to a backstage set and PWA reporter Ron O'Brien, who is standing in front of a backdrop featuring the Temptation logo.

New Orleans!

-- COMMERCIAL BREAK --

We return from break ready for our main event, as “The Stone Monkey” by Kazu Matsui overtakes the speakers and Keiko Ishida makes her way to the ring, alongside Walter Gindin. Keiko settles herself in the ring as “And Then What” by Young Jeezy hits and the fans boo loudly for the arrival of Da Playboi Romeo. Romeo, fresh off a submission victory over Jason Calysto last week, joins Keiko in the ring, and “Things Done Changed” by Notorious BIG thumps onto the speakers, and the fans boo loudest for the reigning PWA World Heavyweight Champion Jackie Baccaro, as he is led to the ring by his manager Vulture. Vulture takes his place on the outside and Baccaro stands in the ring with his partners.

Seconds later, “Dead Promises” by The Rasmus blares onto the speakers, and the fans begin cheering thunderously for the PWA Women’s Champion Morgan Day! Morgan looks at Baccaro with a glare of rage and fury as she stands at the foot of the ramp. Next, “F*ckin in the Bushes” by Oasis hits, and the fans go wild as The Iceman Jason Calysto makes his way down the aisle! Calysto joins Morgan on the ramp, and “Hey You” by Simon Says overtakes the speakers, and Greg Tantalus is met with a wave of approval as he emerges from behind the curtain. Tantalus joins his partners at the bottom of the ramp, and the three enter the ring to the cheers of the crowd. The heels exit the ring as the crowd continues to cheer. Once everyone settles down, Romeo and Jason Calysto meet in the ring and the bell sounds, ready for this one to get underway.

Troy: Alright, here we go! This should be one hell of a main event tonight!

Hosemann: And we’ll start it out with a rematch of last week’s main event right here. Certainly can’t see these two go at it enough.

* SIX-PERSON MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH: PWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JACKIE BACCARO, ROMEO & KEIKO ISHIDA VS. GREG TANTALUS, JASON CALYSTO & PWA WOMEN’S CHAMPION MORGAN DAY *
Referee: Tom Stevens
Calysto and Romeo lock up in the center of the ring, and Romeo gets the initial advantage, muscling Calysto down to the mat, prompting the fans to boo. Calysto gets up and the two lock up again, this time with Calysto shoving Romeo off, creating some distance, allowing him to let loose with some furious knife-edge chops which energize the capacity crowd! With Romeo at a distance, Calysto takes him down with a big armdrag, and the fans cheer loudly! Romeo then gets up, and Calysto runs and clotheslines him over the top rope! Then, Calysto bounces off the opposite ropes and dives over, nailing Romeo with a suicide plancha that leaves the fans stunned and stoked!

Troy: What a maneuver!

Hosemann: Jason Calysto has never been afraid to let it all hang out when necessary, and tonight is certainly no exception!

Calysto makes it back to his feet first and grabs Romeo, rolling him back into the ring before sliding back in himself. Calysto waits for Romeo to get back to his feet and picks him up, looking for the Icebreaker to put this match away early! However, Romeo slips out, boots Calysto in the stomach, and looks for the Dre Day powerbomb! Calysto, however, slips out, and when Romeo turns around, he floors him with a stiff enziguri! The fans cheer loudly at the move, and Calysto tags in Tantalus! Romeo, however, backpedals to his corner, immediately tagging Baccaro in.

Troy: Alright, now we’ll see Tantalus and Baccaro go at it!

Hosemann: Tantalus has wanted to get at Baccaro ever since Baccaro screwed him out of the championship at Revival. Now is his chance.

Tantalus and Baccaro lock up in the middle of the ring, and Baccaro quickly muscles Tantalus down to the mat. Baccaro begins to pose, proud of himself, and Tantalus lunges out and clips Baccaro’s leg! Baccaro grabs his shin, and Tantalus gets up, kicking Baccaro’s other leg out from under him! Baccaro goes down, and Tantalus continues kicking Baccaro’s leg, trying to charley horse it. The champion ultimately kicks Tantalus off with the other leg, and gets to his feet. However, Tantalus charges him and tackles him to the mat! The fans cheer, but Keiko Ishida reaches out and tags herself into the match with Baccaro down. Ishida enters the ring, yanks Tantalus off Baccaro, and nails him with a low blow!

Troy: Oh my! That’s not right!

Hosemann: Hey, she’s legal.

Troy: But low blows are still illegal, Scott!

The referee admonishes Keiko and she simply laughs at him. Keiko begins stomping Tantalus viciously, and the Women’s Champion Morgan Day begs for a tag in. Keiko lifts Tantalus up and whips him against the ropes, but Tantalus returns with a high knee to the face, downing Keiko hard! With the opening, Tantalus goes to the corner and tags in Morgan Day!

Troy: Now we’re talking!

Morgan rushes the ring and meets a rising Keiko with a hard clothesline, before mounting her and pummeling her with punishing rights and lefts! Morgan whips Keiko into the ropes, and nails her with a big back body drop as she returns! Then, Morgan goes over to Jackie Baccaro on the apron, spits in his face, and clubs him in the jaw with a forearm! Furious, Baccaro tries to enter the ring, but the referee stops him. Morgan then whips Keiko into the corner and follows her in with a huge splash! However, with Keiko in the corner, Baccaro tags himself in, unbeknownst to Morgan. Baccaro enters the ring, sneaking up behind her, and levels her with a furious clothesline! Then, lightning quick, Baccaro picks Morgan up and absolutely levels her with the Baccaro Bomb! Baccaro covers… one, two, three.

Troy: Oh wow, what a big man he is. He can beat a woman with the Baccaro Bomb. Congratulations, champ.

Hosemann: Hey Troy, not for nothing, she was legal in the match, and she started this.

The fans boo raucously as “Things Done Changed” briefly hits, but the music stops when Calysto and Tantalus storm into the ring as Baccaro looks to lift Morgan up. However, Romeo enters the ring with chairs and lays them both out, Tantalus from the blind side, and Calysto head on. Romeo, Keiko, and Gindin smile accomplished smiles, and Baccaro instructs them to head to the back. Meanwhile, Baccaro lifts Morgan up again, looking for another Baccaro Bomb… but Vulture enters the ring and yanks her down, preventing Baccaro from attacking her, which prompts the fans to cheer!

Troy: Yeah! It’s about time somebody did something!

Vulture stands over Morgan, yelling at Baccaro, telling him to choose his battles, and Baccaro stands in front of him with a look of rage. Vulture ultimately calms Baccaro down, and “Things Done Changed” hits again. Vulture then exits with Baccaro, with Morgan Day left without further damage done in the ring.

Troy: Scott, this situation could have been a lot worse just now.

Hosemann: It could have
Troy, but Vulture stepped in and made sure Baccaro didn’t take this thing too far. But Troy, the bottom line here is that Morgan day may be at a severe disadvantage for her triple threat women’s championship match, and Jackie Baccaro has managed to get another win to head into Temptation this Saturday with all the momentum in the world.

Troy: That’s right, Scott. 24 men, 12 random teams, six random tag team matches, and one 12-man battle royal, but the winner may very well fall to that man, Jackie Baccaro, in his championship match at the end of the night! It’s this Saturday night, it’s pay-per-view, it’s the first event back at the
New Orleans Arena since Hurricane Katrina… it’s Temptation! Goodnight, everybody!
* WINNERS VIA PINFALL: JACKIE BACCARO, ROMEO & KEIKO ISHIDA *
