1 After a disputed finish in a PWA World Championship match between
Anthony Failla and PWA Champion Jaguar on February 22, 2005, PWA owner Bryan
Conroy, with the Organization of Responsible Advertisers (O.R.A.) created a new
world championship title in order to recognize Failla as world champion, which
O.R.A. president Helen Summers authorized and Conroy sanctioned as an official
PWA championship
2 Three nights after Jaguar won the title inside Hell in a Cell, new
CEO Kerry Cox announced the end of the PWA’s relationship with the ORA, and
announced plans to merge the championship into the PWA Championship on
September 17, 2005. Effective August 23,
2005, the ORA World Heavyweight Championship became known as the Progressive
World Heavyweight Championship for the final 25 days of its existence
