highlights. DULBERG says that when
all is said and done, the highlight of the night will be JON DULBERG retaining the
NYCW Championship.
* MATCH 7
– NYCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – TRIPLE THREAT MATCH – “THE HUMAN HIGHLIGHT”
JON DULBERG © VS. FRANK BRIGGS VS. RYAN “THE BOSS” KNAKAL (Referee: Jim Parris):
The
three men immediately go at it in this one, with Knakal the center of the
disdain of both Dulberg and Briggs.
Knakal, however, fights out of a few sticky situations to take control
of the match. As the match wears on,
Briggs’ size becomes an issue, as at 6’6” and 300 pounds, Briggs is less suited
to wrestle a 15-20 minute match. The
superior conditioning of Knakal and Dulberg come to the forefront as the match
hits the fifteen minute mark and Frank Briggs is left dazed on the outside of
the ring following a throat-first bump onto the steel barricade. Knakal and Dulberg let loose with a
brilliant exchange in the ring, with Dulberg reversing out of the Boss Bomb and
hitting Knakal with the Play of the Day, at which Knakal escapes at two. Stunned, Dulberg scales the top rope and nails
Knakal with Sudden Impact. Dulberg
covers, but Frank Briggs rolls back into the ring and breaks it up at two. Brigs and Dulberg then battle, and Dulberg
attempts a flying cross body, but Briggs catches him and gorilla press slams
Dulberg out of the ring. Briggs then
turns around into an implant DDT from Ryan Knakal, who covers Briggs for a
three count. The fans boo raucously as “Get
F*cked Up” by ICONZ hits and Ryan “The Boss” Knakal is crowned the new NYCW
Champion without Jon Dulberg ever being pinned. The camera pans in on a stunned Dulberg’s face as we fade to
black.
WINNER AT 21:47
AND NEW NYCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: RYAN
“THE BOSS” KNAKAL
